《A Deck of Dragons - A Card Game LitRPG》The Rules of Flux
Advertisement
I've decided to call the game Flux out of the story, since that just makes it easy to talk about. And it feels fitting.
Conditions of the Game
A Summoner's Health is determined by their Monarch's Health. When a Monarch's Health reaches 0, that Summoner loses the match. Summons must be destroyed before the Summoner's Idle Monarch can be attacked. Active Monarchs can be attacked at any time.
At the beginning of the match, each Summoner draws 6 cards.
At the beginning of each Summoner's turn, that Summoner draws a card. A Summoner cannot have more than 9 cards in their hand at the end of their turn and must discard until they have 9 if they are over.
The active Summoner gains Mana based on their Monarch's Mana Contract. Mana does not dissipate between turns.
If a Summoner runs out of cards, they take half of their Monarch's total Health as damage and reshuffle their deck.
Card Types
Summons are summoned by expending the required Mana. They cannot attack the turn they are Summoned.
Each turn, Summons generate Res of up to six different kinds. Summoners collect this Res and store it.
Summons have Strength and Health stats. Strength is the damage they do to other Summons and Monarchs, whereas Health is the total amount of damage they can take. A Summon does not regenerate Health.
Spells are cast by paying the required Res cost and channeling that spell through a Summon as specified on the spell card. (Example: Dragonfire is channeled through Dragon Summons only.)
(More details on different card types will be added here as new card types are introduced in the story.)
Monarchs
Monarchs have three unique stats: Affinities, Aversions, and Loyalty Cost.
Affinities are elements (Res) that the Monarch is associated with.
Aversions are elements that the Monarch is opposed to.
Affinity Res are counted as positive Loyalty, while Aversion Res are counted as negative Loyatly. The net total of Loyalty must be equal to the Monarch's Loyalty Cost in order to summon that Monarch.
When a Monarch takes an Active form, it is summoned to the battlefield with its remaining Health. The Active form card is now used.

Desolate Era
Fate had never been kind to Ji Ning. Wracked by illnesses and infirm his entire life on Earth, Ning knew early on that he would die as a teenager. What he didn’t know was that there really was such a thing as life after death, and that the universe was a far larger place than he thought. A lucky twist of fate (one of the few in Ning’s life) meant that Ning was reborn into a world of Immortals and monsters, of Ki Refiners and powerful Fiendgods, a world where Dynasties lasted for millions of years. A world which is both greater…and yet also smaller…than he ever could imagine. He would have the opportunity to join them, and in this life, Ning swore to himself, he would never let himself be weak again! The Era he was born into was a Desolate one, but Ning would make it his era.
8 230Black Blood (Dropped...)
The multiverse is a big place, and it is also constantly in flux. As such sometimes mistakes occur, impossibilities that should have never come into existence. An aspect of corruption born naturally of a mortal and a divine, a Void that is a singularity instead of a duality, a being that came to be before existence ever was, a forgotten that is not damned, the possibilities are infinite and limitless, and thus so are the possible mistakes in this grand multiverse. But are not mistakes more entertaining to watch? When being reincarnated there are some things that you just cant control. Losing most of your memories is not a great start. Pissing off your patron goddess is not a good follow up. Rounding that out with reincarnating as something not exactly… human… Needless to say this guy is in for an interesting life. 8 71The Going-Home Club
At Palomar High, every student is required to join a club. Neil Velazquez is an incoming senior at this school. From the basket weaving club to the humanist society, he coasted through junior year by lurking in such unrelated, nonserious, and low-commitment groups. He's not interested in participating in any activities. He could care less, and is just looking for a place to fulfill the requirement. He's panicked that all of the easy clubs are disappearing. Who watches the watchmen? Azure Lineas, The Blue Line, does. A technologically powered vigilante, Azure uses drones to protect the public from a police force who routinely uses deadly force against innocent citizens. As the police and Azure escalate against each other, the public find themselves taking sides, and everyone asks, Who is Azure Lineas? And what line will The Blue Line not cross? The story is told in alternating first person from Azure Lineas' perspective, but in a way that does not give their identity away, and in third person, following a variety of people who's lives are impacted when the Line draws across their paths.
