Lord Joyde The Madman: Heylo, everybody! How are you all doing?
SIEG HEIL!
XD
So how are you all?
Its been a while since my last posting or has it?
Only six days, hmm.. feels like a lot more for some reason.
And I've returned to Diamond 5 once again, yey!
Don't mind me guys and girls! I'm just a line break...
A few seconds later... - Potsdam North Point - Leonardo's Point Of View...
An incredible, bloodthirsty and war-driven charge erupted on and from both sides as the espers rushed into defensive formations and my human allies began thundering across the bridge, their millitary boots smashing against the concrete as bullets and laserfire danced across the entirety of the steel bridge."Well? What are you waiting for? Get me some souls!" Yomi's rather sudden and strangely enthusiastic voice echoed within my mind as the atmosphere slowly began taking over me.
A savage grin etched itself upon my frame as I leaped down from the truck I was standing on and charged right into the fray, breaking the esper frontline with terrible ease. The first person I came across via Ether-Walk had only a split second to react, his face twisting in surprise and shock as my fist met his heart and introduced his intestines to fresh air.
Must've been love at first sight, considering how quickly those very insides spilled out of his ravaged flesh. No sooner than that, his flesh turned to ashes and dust, his soul flowing into Yomi's hungering grasp, eliciting a very satisfying moan to escape my vixen mate.
Emboldened by the still-reverberating echo of her pleasure, I continued my slaughter with reckless efficiency. An invisible tendril of gravity tore through the air and ripped off the door of a nearby car which I placed in front of me, protecting myself from a hail of bullets. Hmm, these guys react way quicker than normal humans. Not that it will help them much, anyways...
"CAEDES!" My scream tore through the rabid air of the battlefield as blood erupted from my right palm, forging itself into a blade."Shit! He's a manifestor!"
A quirked eyebrow was my unspoken reply as my grasp on Caedes solidified, allowing me to resume my charge as I flinged the bullet-ridden car door into a nearby esper soldier, removing his head clean off as the door continued flying, splashing the pavement with his blood as his neck erupted in a shower of gore. Focusing myself for the briefest moment, I take note of the posistion of each of the five espers in front of me and crouch somewhat, posistioning my blade in a line directed straight at their heads.
Within seconds, I combine the supreme speed of Ether-Walk with Caedes's near insourmountable cutting edge, cleaving through the Espers with a grotesque, terrifying grace."PUSH FORWARD!" The familiar voice of commander Rogers echoed from somewhere behind me, a hailstorm of bullets, this time friendly ones, blasted across the bridge once more, splattering the bodies of the remaining espers within the first line of defense.
It seems like they only sent the weak forward to buy themselves time, as a massive anti-infantry cannon rose from the ground on a hill on the other side of the bridge."Shit! An Annihilan Cannon, take cover!"

The gun in question turned its attention to me and I quickly found myself beset by a myriad of kinetic shells, an instinctively erected gravitational barrier being all that kept me from getting blown to bits."Allow me, master!" Unit 42 seemingly gave up on being a supportive sniper and activated what I can only imagine was some kind of cloaking as I couldn't really see him, though his voice came from next to me.
It was kind of creepy, to be perfectly honest. The robots metal steps were nowhere nearly as silent as his body was invisible though, so it was easy enough to track him via vibrations in the ground.
Another blast struck against my shield, which was currently empowered by the fact that I was focusing entirely on it."Rogers! I cant keep this up for long, do something!" My yell seems to have roused my mortal companions from their defensive posistions as a squadron of soldiers rushed to my side and pulled out several grenades, triggering, cooking and throwing them in near perfect synch.
The ensuing booms made me feel somewhat emotional."That was beautiful."
Master, the cannon is operated by a group of people inside of a bunker beneath it.
It... isn't something that could be built this quickly by any known form of construction.
We would like to try and analyze it before destroying it. Can you hold out that long?
"I'll do my damn best, Adolf." The soldiers around me turned to give me strange looks as I laughed momentarily."Talking to my robot butler, please ignore and focus!"
Now their gazes were even more inquisitive, but they didn't make any comments."So ... invisible shields, control of air, an emberite sword, the ability to turn people to ash on touch, healing, regeneration... are you going to be adding anymore powers to that list?"
Commander Rogers approached me from my left side before taking a defensive posistion behind a blown-up car."Eh? Is there a problem?"
He shook his head in negative."No, having you here is a godsend, its just.. I'm having difficulties ranking you or even classifying your E-S-P type."
"E-S-P type? The fuck is that?" My cursing seems to have sent the man into a spree of chuckles as another explosive kinetic shell blasted across my shield before slamming into the ground, a smoking dead-weight."Figures that you don't know about it. ESP types are forms of esper powers that have been discovered so far."
"Ah, the enemies called me a manifestor or something, you mean like that?" He nodded and chuckled once again."Yes, like that but a manifestor? Not bloody likely. I mean, you've got a nice emberite sword there but considering your other powers.."
"You've mentioned this before but what the hell is emberite?" Come to think of it, wasn't there a metal of the same name back in Euphoria? How interesting."Don't even know that, huh? Well, its not surprising. Emberite is a national secret, a strange and nearly otherworldly metal which becomes tougher the more heat it absorbs and its maximum has yet to be discovered."
"Which would make excellent armor to defent against both kinetic and laserfire, eh?" Such a miracle material exists in reality... I wonder how I didn't know about this before."Anyways, my sword isn't made out of emberite... or well, I don't know what its made out of, honestly."

Eadom confirmed that his flesh was used in the swords construction but it isn't the only ingridient, is it? Hmm, I'm going to need to secure some of this metal."So how do I get my hands on some emberite?"
The veteran soldier threw me a look."Why would you need any?"
"For science." Was my rather confusing reply as Rogers blinked."Didn't take you for a scientific type."
"And I'm not, but I think that at least one of my two million nanomachines just might be interested in the metal. My daughter too.." My reply sent him and the people around me into sprees of surprise, shock and confusion all at the same time."Nanomachines?"
"Two million?"
"DAUGHTER!?"
"You are a father." Commander Rogers, who had a cigarette in his mouth up till now, spoke and promptly failed to keep said object in his mouth from shock."Yeah, I am. The coffin that your little bunch of paparazzi prevented me from delivering was that girls mother."
The man, to his credit, immidiatelly bowed."Fuck. Thats sickening. I'm sorry."
"Its fine mate, you can make it up to me by killing off the rest of the enemy." My smirk sent was quickly mimicked by the man as he turned around with a smile."Roger, that." He rose his rifle, a massive anti-infantry kinetic weapon probably capable of severing an fully armorer man in half.
Master!
Our analysis of the Annihilan Cannon has revealed somewhat worrying news! The weapon was not constructed, at the very least not here. It was rather teleported to this place using the power of multiple espers, a psionic warp not unlike to your Ether-Walk.
However as we were digging up this data, one of the espers called in air support. How should we proceed?
"Rogers, the espers have called in air support." My sudden revelation caused the mans eyes to widen in rage."Shit! Of course they have. We're on a bridge and they intend to blow us up."
"You have a plan?" I hurried the man who shook his head in negative."The best course of action would be to pull back and have our tanks deal with the flyers, but that would mean abandoning the bridge."
"Can your people operate that cannon?" I pointed at the weapon currently unloading everything it had onto me. Man, its shells were getting sort of hard to deal with."The Annihilan? Yeah sure we can, it was made in America, y'know? But as you can see, its currently operated by espers."
"Wont be for long. Prep your men for another charge." He nodded after a moment of consideration, eventually deciding to trust me."Adolf, kill the espers and secure the weapon. I'll be there soon to help 42."
Commencing takeover.
Targets 1,2,3,4,5 and 6 are down.
Securing gateway...
Negative. Enemies at the door, Unit 42 needs backup.
Its fine, you did what I wanted you to do.
The massive weapon stopped firing, allowing me to refocus and gather my energies into my palm."ENDSIEG!" My immaculate scream tore through the air as the blackened blast of concentrated energy paved the way, slaughtering most of the esper force in an instant.
But this was my umpteenth Endsieg today... gonna need a bit of a rest."Holy fucking shit..." The men and women around me stood paralyzed as I grit my teeth."What are you waiting for? I cant move for a while and we need to secure that cannon! GET A MOVE ON, PEOPLE!"
"SIR, YES SIR!" Their quick recovery made me smile as I leaped behind some cover and sat down, closing my eyes in meditation as I summoned the candle of Life once more, this time to heal and rejuvenate myself rather than others.
The area around my heart glowed white once more, causing Rogers to snort."So, do you at least know which god you're supposed to be?"
My meditation interrupted, I blinked in utter confusion."God?"
The mans shoulders slumped."Jesus Christ, how oblivious are you?"
"Hey, I didn't even know other espers existed just a few days ago, man." My honest reply caused him to appear even more stunned, his brain apparently unable to comprehend my existence.
Something that made me feel proud of myself for whatever reason...
I wonder if thats why God and Chaos are so impossible to deal with all the time. Would make a lot of sense."Alright, lemme explain... The espers in America have this stupid theory that every esper is actually a god reborn. There are people calling themselves the seven deadly sins, Zeus, Lucifer, you name it. They also say that this theory comes from them knowing such things instantly. As in, they know which gods they are the second their powers awaken, is this true?"
"... Sorry mate, I have no bloody idea." A deep sigh escaped the veteran as he turned his attention back to the fight."Well whatever. If it wasn't for the stupid look you have on your face with every question I ask you, I'd have already called you out on lying. Anyways, I'm gonna stop interrupting you from recovering now... And don't forget to move off the bridge. Your little power play here has bought us the cannon so its unlikely that we'll lose the bridge but they're probably gonna try to shoot it down either way."
"Yes, sir." I saluted the man in jest, something which the returned in a not-quite-so-joking manner.
A smirk etched itself onto my frame. So far, so good, eh?
Don't mind me guys and girls! I'm just a line break....
Decently sized chapter.
Bigger than my shorties.
Smaller than my normals.
I kinda need to sleep though so I'm gonna stop here and now, need to get my bio-clock back in order before I go totally insane.
As per usual, I will stay awake to answer early comments and edit out mistakes.
Anyways, read and review! And Good Morning/Day/Night to you all! ADIOS FOR NOW!!!!!!!!!!!
