《Euphoria [DISCONTINUED]》99. Insipiens Infinitum

Lord Joyde The Madman: Heylo, everybody! How are you all doing?
So here we are.
Reaching for one of our turning points.
Time to learn, my friends.
To witness the reason for creation.
Don't mind me guys and girls! I'm just a line break..
Out of Time - Out of Reality - Leonardo's Point Of View...
Victory.
"U-uhhm...?" I mumble out as I finally regain my consciousness.
Falling asleep after my little ordeal with Audrey...
It was like descending into darkness eternal.
I felt... as if I would never wake up at all.
Victory.
The voice of chaos repeated itself as I stood up, finding myself on top of..."Wait, this place is?!" I looked around myself, up, below, left, right and every possible angle and side.
I...
Stood.
Upon.
Nothing.
...
No.
Not nothing.
Everything.
Below me, above me, right and left.. everywhere I looked were shining stars, galaxies and so much more.
I... I remember this scene. I had seen this once before, when I passed Chaos's first test.
Senseless Infinity.
But something was missing. Before, the lights were fading, being consumed by darkness, one by one until nothing remained.
Now?
Nothing was happening.
It.. it wasn't like time was stopped.
It was more like...
It does not exist from here.
"From.. here?"
I blinked and turned around once more, to find that... I was looking only below myself this entire time.
Or was it above myself?
Either way, I ... I was outside... I stood.
Upon the border of creation.
As we do.
The voice of Chaos thundered across my mind... but I felt something new alongside the usual thunder. I.. felt the voice.
The sound."You are here." I said.
As are you.
"As am I." I confirmed its assessment as I continued staring at the edge of Creation.
Shaking my head, I turned once more, expecting to see something else behind me, yet seeing nothing new at all.
You cannot see what is beyond you.
Laughing at seemingly nothing and none, I finally asked."Why am I here?" My question seemed to mimic the voice of Chaos.
I realized, I had no sound.
No tone.
No... matter.
I was not here.
Yet I was.
Victory.
Chaos repeated again, for the third time and I felt the creation around me shifting to its side, almost as if Chaos looked away from me.
A hollow and ridiculous notion. Or so the white would claim.
"And what would you call it?" Chaos laughed at my response as reality shifted once again, coming into focus directly towards me.
Victory.
A moment of stupefiction is what I allowed myself before trying to open my mouth to talk, only to find that I had no mouth at all.
In fact, I had nothing.
I..
Was..
Nothing.
Tell me.
My gaze focused itself as I regained... something, once again. I couldn't tell what.
Reality? Comprehension?
Did they exist here?
Did it even matter?
What do you belive, is the most basic drive behind any existance, regardless of race, origin, power and complexity?
"To mate?" I replied, my answer uncertain as Chaos laughed and reality shifted once again, this time giving me the indication of a nod.
Correct. Yet also wrong.
... amoeba do not mate, do they?"Then... simply to create more of themselves?"
Another seeming nod was my reply as the scenery shifted... and I found myself physical once again, within the confines of what I have come to call The Red World.
Ah, reality. How I have missed you.
The skies above me thundered with crimson lightning, as is the typical representation of Chaos doing... something, anything really.
Yet this time, it seemed that the thunder was creating something, molding a shape out of the swirling nothingness.
And from the vortex of crimson, a familiar frame was ushered. Though, I had only seen it for the briefest of moments."So.. is that what your physical form looks like?"
Dilluted. Weakened. Belittled. Made visible for your pleasure.
Chaos mocked me, though it seemingly lost its tone and voice once again."Well I'm sorry for being too weak to see you then."
The endless mound of flesh which had replaced the sky grew a gigantic eye with a thousand Iris's etched into it.
One For All. All For One. And you are not weak, Leonardo.
"One for all, all for one?" I questioned it, promptly ignoring its vain attempt to praise me. A blink and a thousand new iris's somehow etched themselves onto the eye.
The Ceaseless Eye. The physical form of Chaos itself... one iris, for every life-form out there."Ow!.. what the?"
My own eyes began to bleed out of nowhere and I quickly turned towards the nearest pool of blood, to find myself reflected within it.
Like Chaos, my eyes had a second iris.. then I blinked..
And it was gone.
Living machines. You are the first within our universe to create them.
Aria's kind... but she is the only one... the only machine that is truly alive. My work.. my new iris."But I didn't create her by myself, you know?"
And should her mother ever reach your level, she too will be given her dues.
I see.
Shaking my head once again, I asked."Why am I here?"
The main directive of all existances is to create more of themselves. The same goes for us, the Implausible Ones.
God.
Lucifer.
Chaos.
And Gaia.
At least, those are the ones I know off.
... but why would Chaos be telling me this?
What is it trying to say?!...
Have you ever asked yourself; Why do we exist? What is our purpose in life? Why is creation the way it is?
A blink."Are you saying that the entirety of Creation exists for the sole purpose of creating more Implausible Ones?"
Yes.
What a blunt fucking answer."Okay... so am I some kind of first attempt or?"
Chaos laughed at me, not holding back a single bit of its apparent joy.
First? You would not be the millionth.
I see."Which means that I am one... though that still does not answer my question, why am I here?"
To become that which you were meant to be.
A blink. Make that several."You... are going to make me an Implausible One right now?"
No. I will not. You will.
...
When you are ready.
Chaos explained as it seemingly turned itself away without another word, but before I could do anything about it, the entirety of the Red World shook.

I felt as if my soul was being... cut out.
Like I was some kind of cancerous tumor, being expunged out of my hosts body by a very skilled surgeon.
You are.
Another spree of laughter from Chaos as the Island which represented my soul broke out of the immense ocean of blood within which it was previously immersed, a thin line of liquid still connecting it to the ground, almost like a chain.
Then, I was sent flying alongside the entirety of my soul, out, out, out and out.
Eventually, I hit what appeared to be some kind of boundary, a wall of flesh not unlike the one I had resisted consuming back when...
No.
This was exactly that same place.
With a countless number of people failing to pass the aforementioned test.. fishes, tentacled abominations, humanoids, mamallians, reptiles, orcs, elves...
An infinite amount of races, from an infinite amount of worlds.
All taking the test.
And seemingly noone passing the test.
You are but one of the fourty-two.
"So.. so many of us... yet only.. so few have passed?" I questioned everything around me. A part of me was saying how I should be proud of it.
But the rest of me was screaming in horror at the revelation.
The Curation Of Life is not a job to be given. It must be earned.
I swallowed down hard, still flying outwards... out of the protective confines of Chaos and into the vast, empty and full, Void beyond worlds.
I could feel the near limitless energies flowing all around me.
Eager to consume me.
Eager to be consumed by me.
I could not truly discern the diffrence between the two."But who dictates what it means to earn this.. job?"
Chaos laughed once more as its massive physical form erupted outwards, following the direction of my flight as I went farther and farther away from it.
Looking away from the Ceaseless Eye made me bear witness to another familiar shape, its limited lights stretching out into four distinct arms.
Like elastic tendrils of multicolored light."The.. the milky way?"
Our Universe. Our Life.
...
Our breeding ground.
Chaos spoke, its toneless echo still very much clear to my mind, despite the distance between us.
Then again, does distance have a meaning to Chaos?
Distance is an illusion.
"Thought as much..." Finding myself murmuring once more, I note the fact that I have seeming stopped flying...
No.. I was..
Grabbed, by something.
Right as I was about to fly out of whereever I was at the moment.
Just think about it for a moment. Your world is sufficiently advanced for you to comprehend where you are.
A blink.
Hmm.. let me think: I can see the Milky Way in all of its glory as its arms extend all around me..
Wait, around me?
"The supermassive black hole?" A turned head as Chaos nodded towards me.
We are within the pocket of Void contained by the Black Hole.
"So what are black holes supposed to be then?" Portals to the void, no doubt.
Ruptures in reality. Places where creation did not form correctly... a hotfix, in laymans terms.
Hotfix?.. they consume everything around them and eventually begin to evaporate, theoretically fixing reality as matter spews out of them?
Though, I have yet to hear about a black hole blowing up.
Thats because they don't blow up.
Oh.
Suddenly, I was seemingly pulled back downwards at incredible speeds, the levels of which were implausible for my mind to comprehend, as I was dragged down.
By... tendrils.
Made out of... stars?
Do not resist Life's pull.
Life's pull?
The strange, ethereal tendrils eventually brought me before what appeared to be an endless vortex of pure energy, spewing forth and ever growing.
Never stopping to make more of itself, eh?
The Life Engine.
Life engine?.. come to think of it, Chaos did say that Life was not sentinet.
It was.. a machine?
Not in the way you are thinking it, but yes.
The tendrils then stopped for a moment.
Finally, I noticed that the line of flowing crimson liquid was still attached to me... and like a doctors freshly-sharpened scalpel, the tendrils of starlight cut the connection between me and Chaos.
Like severing an umbillical cord, I was now completely free from Chaos, my connection to my supposed parent broken and destroyed.
Yet...
I am still here. I will always, be here.
...
I see now.
I .. untill now, I was nothing more than a child.
A baby, growing within the confines, the safety of Chaos's stomach.
Fuck, I should have figured this out long ago, when Eadom revealed our location for the first time.
Now, I have grown enough to be *born*.
To be brought to life.
And so, here I am."A-UUUUUUURGH!"
An indescribable amount of pain struck me out of seemingly nowhere as two of life's tendrils tore through the island which made up my existence, drilling a hole right through the center of it and burning the wound as the passed, incinerating and cauterizing it in the process.
Eventually, I found my strength once more and crawled over to the hole by instinct... and what I saw below was...
A circle...
Made out of stars.
It... looked like some form of... lake.
One day... when you are finally ready...
Chaos began, as my consciousness started to fade, as I was forcefully being pulled out of this plane of existence, like a child waking up for the first time.
When the day comes that you are ready to become one with life, to turn yourself into a Curator Of Life...
Its toneless voice echoed through my mind, but there was no thunder.
No shock.
No pain.
Just... soft whispers, as if a mother soothing her baby son.
When you are ready, drown yourself within the circle of stars and you will become...
Chaos's whispers turned nearly deafening, even if I could not hear them.
Implausible.
Don't mind me guys and girls! I'm just a line break..
And that is it for this chapter of EUPHORIA!

A Prose of Years
For decades, spiritualist Evert Kallstrom and his team have joined in humanity’s millennia-long fight against the beasts. Wielding their weapons and their ki, they fought and killed these great threats to civilization. And yet, despite their efforts, humanity was losing traction in the war. In the last fifty years alone, more cities had been overrun than in all of known history. While most thought the great beasts natural, a few knew the terrible truth. They were the product of a dark lord, who desired neither fame nor wealth nor power. Instead, his sole purpose was the genocide of humanity. While their peers dithered, a small faction of the strongest mankind had to offer—including Evert Kallstrom and his team—set out towards the Deadlands to find and confront this dark lord. After weeks of travel, twenty-one spiritualists found themselves approaching an ancient fortress wherein rested a being known only as the Eastern Guardian. All they found was death. But death has other plans for Evert. Evert bolts awake in his 16 year old body near his hometown, decades in the past. He is confused, poor and weak. But with grit, sweat, and years of experience, he won't let the future repeat itself. That level of strength won't be enough by itself (it wasn’t last time) and victory is hardly assured (he’ll need to reach farther and higher than he ever did), but Evert refuses to squander a second chance. [Other tags: First Person POV, Hard Magic, Faulty Memory] Volume 1 is complete and has been fully released. My current intention is not to write any sequel volumes. That said, I have also released appendices (SPOILERS) that cover the worldbuilding and future story-that-never-was. Comments suggesting fixes for grammar, misspellings, etc. appreciated. Note: If you came here from Candlelit Lives, these stories have nothing in common.

A D&D Gamer in Garweeze Wurld
He doesn't know how he got here, and while the trappings are familiar, he doesn't actually know where he is, either. From the perspective of those around him, Duromar is a half-ogre barbarian, an uncivilized brute by any standard you care to use. But from his perspective, he's a character created in a gaming system. From either one, he must live within the rules of that system. This is the story of a gamer who ends up in a game that's just a bit off from what he knows. ---- I wanted to write something a little bit old-school. Most of the LitRPG I've found seems to be based on computer RPG styled stories. Progression through levels is fast, and depending on the game, skills and even attributes can be trained with or without class levels. This wasn't true with the older pen and paper games, and that's the style of leveling I wanted to write.

Legacy of Blood
Ao Ruang lives in a village isolated from the outside world. Due to a tragic fate he finds himself far away from his home on the brink of death. Only to be entrusted with the legacy of a near extinct race.A Legacy he must embrace.A Legacy that fills humanity with suspicion and hate.A Legacy written in blood. Hello Author here!I hope you all are enjoying my take on a cultivation story. I wanted to take elements I enjoy from cultivation novels while avoiding some of the tropes and insane power creep. I want to keep things as grounded as possible. The story is a bit quick paced in the start, but you will find that it slows down to a decent pace later on. The romance is going to be a slow burn and I want to keep it a bit of a surprise. While our protagonist Ao Ruang is the main man of the story their were will be times other characters will get some love also.Lastly, there will be occasional goals from latest chapter if those goals are reached I will release a bonus side chapter that focuses on other characters we have met before and I'm considering having polls to decide who the side chapter will be on.Please consider supporting me in anyway you can. For now I'm just looking for people to review, suggest to others, and interact.Respectfully,Joseon Walking
