《Euphoria [DISCONTINUED]》27. Corrupted Stone

Lord Joyde The Madman: Heylo, Everybody! How are you all doing?
I've fixed my internet! MUAHAHAHAH!
Now, instead of a meager 200ks/sec I have 3MGB/s!
IT FEELS GLORIOUS!
IMPORTANT - if you want to become a part of this story then tell me you character name, class and race down below!
Don't mind me guys and girls! I'm just a line break...
Half and hour later... - The Forge Chamber - Rhean's Point Of View...
"Ya sure ye won't be needing a weapon?" Corez asks me as his hammer strikes against his new crossbow one last time before he picks it up, a bunch of Emberite bolts safely stacked into his pouch.
Taking in a deep breath as I fall into thought, I reply."I haven't used a single weapon ever since I started Euphoria since my class does not require it... but, I suppose I'll take a lance or Dragon Glaive if you can make it."
"A Dragon Glaive? Well there's a name I haven't heard in a long time." Charles mutters out from the sidelines as we turn towards him, causing him to continue."But.. no story I've ever read of you describes you using a glaive of any kind?"
"Just because I've never used it on a battlefield does not mean I didn't try. Glaives are curious weapons, clearly made to be used with skill and grace, but in the hands of a particularly violent person, they can be just as gory and disturbing as a jagged claymore." My explanation makes them both give out an oh, as Corez mutters out with disappointment."They sound pretty good but, I don't know how to build one. Hell I don't even know what a Dragon Glaive looks like!"
Charles promptly takes out an old Azarestrian training manual and flips a few pages to show us a picture portraying a soldier wielding what seemed to be a lance with a bladed end instead of a pointed one."Here, sir Corez. This is what they looked like. They were used by lieutenants and generals, so I figured I might do some research on them."
"Ah! I can make that now that I've seen the picture but I'm not completely sure it'll be any good." Corez says as he turns towards me and I shrug."Well the durability isn't really a big deal, it only has to last the fight which I have a feeling won't be long and we can always improve it later should I like it enough. If anything, a weapon made out of Emberite can be infused with the users blood and gain strength comparable to its user so since this is my weapon you don't have much to worry about."
"Ya could've told us all that beforehand, y'know?" He points out with a blank stare before getting to work on the glaive and I give out a laugh. People who've managed to hear this actually cut themselves with their weapons, cracking their magmatic black surface and revealing weapons made out of seemingly pure, flowing magma. The enchantments upon those weapons are nothing compared to Iblis, but each of them is quite powerful. Emberite weapons have a weakness though. Once awakened, they will outright refuse to be wielded by anyone other than their masters and should they be forced, their effectiveness will be reduced to 5%.
"Woah, that's so cool!" Justika says in wonder as her claymore cracks open to reveal a molten surface, glowing crimson hot as if it had just been taken out of a forge. My entire guild infuses their selective weapons, but the NPC soldiers are not so eager to do it.

I turn towards Charles."What's got you guys panties in a bunch?"
He gulps."W-well, it is said that Emberite weapons tend to force intense blood-lust upon their users... though, I suppose that don't mean much for Destined Ones."
True enough, but I don't think that's gonna be a problem for anyone of us anytime soon."With me around, there will be more than enough blood to spill... but I suppose its fine if you don't want to claim a weapon. Just to be sure, there won't be another chance like this anytime soon, my soldiers. Once we've reclaimed the mine, only the strongest and most loyal of my followers will be granted the right to wield an Emberite Weapon, so claim your destinies, if you have the guts."
Even with my not-so-hidden taunt, only a select few soldiers slide their wrists upon the blades and watch with intent as their weapons crack open, making me chuckle as I turn around to see my general still uncertain. I give out a sigh in disappointment."If you want to keep being my general Charles, you will need the power a weapon like this can offer you. Even if you do not acquire one now, I will want to equip you with such a weapon later on."
His shoulders slump in disappointment and relief at the same time as he lowers his arm down, his non-awakened blade striking roughly at the ground below as I turn around towards Corez, who had just finished forging my Glaive."There ya go boss, here's to hope you like it."
Nodding at him, I reply."Thanks Corez, it'll do. Now, please gather everyone, were going in."
With a returned nod from Corez as I watch him leave me, I use the rough stone-like black metal of my weapon to feed it blood.
Your blood has been infused into this Emberite Weapon, giving it a soul akin to yours!
Do you wish to name it?
"Yeah, how about Exhuril?" A resounding click follows my words as an item is added into my inventory. Derived from Latin, Exhuro means to burn or to devour, a perfect name for a weapon like this.
The molten surface cracks and sets the air around it ablaze as I grin at my new weapon."Inspect."
Exhuril (Unique Quality) Created by Corez, a dwarven blacksmith and member of the guild "CIL CIL" for the Emperor of Azarest, this Dragon Glaive represents the chaosborne desire to burn and to devour, as its name might imply.
As this is an awakened Emberite Weapon, it cannot be wielded by anyone other than Rhean, who is its master. Killing with and feeding this weapon the essence of the slain may unlock potential evolution's! Deals 130-550 damage per attack.
+deals double damage against undead Requirements - 100 strength, 50 agility and 10 insight.
I quirk an eyebrow as I read the requirements and a slight panic envelops me as I turn towards my guild."Uhh, is there anyone who can't meet the requirements for his or her weapon?"
Thankfully, everyone who looked at me shook their head in negative. I guess the weapons are made to fit the user? That's convenient but also very much expected. Still, a hundred strength for a Unique weapon? I sure as hell hope you'll end up as something good, Exhuril.
The weapon in question seemed to hum as I thought this, but I suppose it must've been just my imagination as I don't remember that happening before. Anyways, I finally turn around towards the entrance to the Spawning Pits, the last chamber of this raid."Everyone ready?"

"Yes, sir!" And with that, we march down.
Don't mind me guys and girls! I'm just a line break...
Several Moments Later... - The Spawning Pits - Rhean's Point Of View...

Nevertheless, know that the favor of Mother Moon will stay by thy side. If Accepted (Buff - Gaze Of The Eternal Mother)

+All stats increased by 10% during the course of the fight. (Buff - Pride)
-You will not be protected from lethal attacks.
"What in the fuck?! She calls that a buff? I can see why you two got so uncomfortable around her now." A tall, large orcish man with a long ponytail says with a grimace upon his frame.
Quirking an eyebrow as I promptly say."Denied."
Before turning around to face him. He stands at around two meters tall and is half around a meter wide, his hair is colored a shade of dark blue, wielding what seems to be a giant katana on his shoulder, more commonly referred to as a daito.
... I think that's his emberite weapon?"An orcish samurai?"
He grunts out a laugh as he also says denied, the pride buff appearing on his character screen as he replies."Yeah, sounds cool, doesn't it? Just imagine, once I manage to attain enough fame/infamy, I'm gonna change my hair-color to pure white and make my character look super old."
"Aaaaah, I get it. You're trying to role play as the invincible old-guy blademaster." All in all, Blademasters are basically the orcish version of samurais. Except they usually wield giant cleavers instead of katana's, but I don't think I should tell him that.
A nod from the massive orc as I quirk another eyebrow at the guy."Isn't your char a bit too big for that though?"
He waves a defensive hand in front of himself."A-ah, that's...uhh... Well, lets just say that I also want to be someone scary looking and a withered grandpa who is also small is nothing terrifying."
This time, I nod right back at him, but before I could even say a word, a massive tremor made most of us lose our footing momentarily."WGHOO GGOE DGEERE?! TEVOGG CRUSHG!"
Smirking as I turn my head around to face a twenty meter tall mountain of stone and earth rise up from below us, I quickly shoot him a question, sensing a potential new lieutenant."What's your name, honorable samurai?"
"It's Uber F. King, your majesty!" Uber? A German, huh. Grinning to seemingly nobody, I turn my head back around as bloodlust rises high in my veins. Its time to fight my very first real boss, the wolf does not count.
"Buff up people! He's not gonna wait for us!" Frey screams at the top of his lungs once more as the giant elemental raises his fist and slams downwards, but because of Frey's wake-up call, our mages manages to form up a shield strong enough to deflect the blow and buy us some more time."AUUUUGGGG! TEVOGG, HUUUURTTTSG! NOWG TEVOGG HURTG YOUGGG!"
Ah, I can certainly see who Zrell got his Z-lisp from... Maybe I shouldn't kill the elemental. Hmm...
Looking around, I notice a number of chains laying around the room, much like the ones I used to tear down the doorway. A quick glance at the elemental is enough for me to notice the numerous cracks upon his stone flesh."You guys did an actual number on him huh, Zrell?"
Said goblin and his fellow elites stand proud before me before saluting."Wez didz ourz bestz! Nowz, wez gonna do betterz!"
Grinning again as the goblins words inspire all of my troops, I begin the fight for real. Without wasting another moment, I create five areas around the round chamber we were in using the inbuilt raid-aid tool. The first three zone's were stacked one after one another and stood a good distance away from the boss."ALL RANGED PERSONNEL WILL STAY WITHIN THE BORDERS OF THESE THREE ZONES! HEALERS ON THE RIGHT, MAGES IN CENTER AND EVERYONE ELSE ON THE LEFT!"
Turning towards Frey, I speak."Mate, you and your group stay behind and protect them should any form of mob come running, capiche? I'll also be counting on you to force them into dodging any incoming blows if possible."
He bows and salutes me."Yes, your highness!" And with that, he motions for his group to stand in front of the mages in the middle.
Turning towards Corez, I say."See the cracks in his right arm? Use whatever means necessary to tear it off and once you do that, focus on any other area that has cracks in it. Don't worry, we are gonna make some for you."
He nods."Understood!" Then he turns towards his squad."Ye heard the emperor lads! Lets get to shootin'!"
I cast a final look towards my newest lieutenant and grin savagely."Let's go crack some stones, King."
He gives me a grin of his own as he lifts his hammer into the sky."RIGHT! LETS DO THIS! ATTACK!" A bellowed roar of pure fire erupts from the giant samurai-orcs maw as my remaining melee's charge ahead."STEALTH AND AGILITY TYPES WHO ARE MELEE, STAY IN THE ZONE BEHIND THE BOSS UNLESS YOU HAVE TO DODGE A BLOW!"
With that, everyone was in position and just in time for the elemental to recover."TEVOGG SMASG ALLG OG YOUG!" A massive blow falls downwards again and I turn my head around towards Frey."Shields on our front line! DO NOT LET THEM GET HIT!"
"Yes, sir!" A multitude of voices, player and npc alike scream in unison as Frey's order reaches their ears. Leaping out of the way of the massive blow as it catches some of us, I can't help but notice how a couple of my guildmates are getting terrified of the blood."FOCUS YOURSELVES! DO NOT FEAR DEATH BUT FACE IT WITH COURAGE!" I yell out as loudly as I can, inspiring my npc troops and waking up the players.
Forgetting that this is a game can be quite a detriment sometimes, but it happens a lot, especially to newbies.
Shaking my head in disbelief, I promptly strike Exhuril against the elementals hide only to have it barely scratch its surface."GAARG, YOUG WEAPONGS HURTG LIKEG PEBBELG! HAGHAG!" The thing's rumbling laughter makes my eyes grow wide as I realize that I've somehow pulled aggro. Fuck.
"TEVOGG SMASHG YOUG, GGNATG!" True to his word, another massive fist comes crashing down upon me but I ready my glaive and weather the blow, blocking it successfully.
Strength gamble successful! (Attack blocked -75% damage) You have sustained a crushing blow! (1349 damage)
You are close to death!
"Ha-hah! Even blocked, your attack still just about killed me. As expected of a boss!" My mouth glows red with blood as my passive's turn on completely."TEVOG CONFUSED! HOWG ISG MORTALG SOG STRONGG!?"
"Yer not the only one.. Boss, catch!" I hear Corez yell from the sidelines, a high-quality instant healing potion being thrown in my general direction as I push the giant arm away, causing it to become completely exposed to my rangers.
"ALRIGHT YE LADS, NOW'S DE TIME! FIREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" Corez's voice fills the entirety of the chamber as bolts, spells and exploding arrows of all kinds strike against the stone of the elemental, promptly breaking his arm off.
Breaking off the arm of Tevog, you dealt him 30% of his total health in damage.
But, at the same time, you've unleashed the darkness within his core. All players are now affected by the debuff, Leaking Dark.
-20% to accuracy
"AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGG!G! DATG HUUUUUUUURTG!" The elemental rockets around with its entire body as I form a scythe out of my right hand while catching Exhuril with my left and jamming the scythe into a crack formed by the broken arm.
Twisting it momentarily to cause damage, I wince as the scythe breaks off inside the elemental and then smirk as I use it as a launching pad to jump onto the elemental."ARGH! WOTG IZG HUMANG DOINGG!?"
"Freeing you, mongrel." With another savage grin, I promptly jam my glaive down his throat and hold onto it for dear life as he starts to rampage."Charles, Uber! STRIKE NOW WHILE I'VE GOT HIM BOUND!"
A mass of spells erupts from our mages as the blaze of fire covers the golem of stone, shards of earth falling off him and becoming lesser elementals."That's our cue guys, take the mobs down!" Frey and his team leap forward, eager to finally join the fight as they engage the still-forming children of stone.
The two warriors I called out beforehand nod to each other as they ready their blades and charge the giant, each striking against his legs in an effort to further destabilize Tevog."ARG! TEVOGG CRUSHG ALLG OFG YOUG!" He leaps into the air and slams his one remaining arm down, stunning all of my raid members and killing quite a few soldiers. Reacting quickly as I manage to beat the earth on his back to something stable to stand on, I exclaim."Zrell! GET UP HERE!"
Within moments, the goblin uses his book to fly over to me and bow."Watz wez doz nowz?!"
"Tevog is corrupted by some kind of darkness. You may not have yet read about this but chaos devours darkness! With out combined energies, we can free him from the shadows!" The goblins eyes grow wide in realization as he prepares crimson lightning in his right hand and leaps onto the elementals back.
With another nod, I ask."You ready, Zrell?"
"YEZZ, YOUZ MAJESTY!" He exclaims with fervor as we both strike against the back of Tevog's head, crimson energies flowing from us and into him."Champions! Around the chamber lay several chains, use them to help bind the elemental to the ground!" Charles exclaims at the top of his lungs, having overheard our plan.
Players and npcs alike work together to mimic my previous act of might and several chains are sent flying into the elemental, who seems to have collapsed entirely, almost as if giving up on life."TEVOGG... FALL?
Suddenly, a massive pillar of darkness erupts from beneath him as tentacles arise from the earth and begin infusing the elemental with black energy. I know what's going on now. The goblins, they've dug too deep, awakened a fiend.. the elemental was here to protect them but it failed."NEVER MIND THAT! CHAIN DOWN THE TENTACLES, KILL THEM AS FAST AS YOU CAN!"
Converging on the tendrils caused a mass of darklings to spawn and Frey quickly reacted to their presence as I watched my mana quickly disappearing, fueling the elemental with pure chaos energy.
As we continued funneling our power into the downed elemental, several of the defeated tendrils exploded in a show of gore and shadows, killing players and npcs alike."RANGED ONLY FOCUS ON THE TENDRILS, MELEE'S ON THE MOBS!"
Quickly rectifying the situation, I feel my entire world shake as a new blue screen slams into my face.
You have been playing for far too long, Destined One. (14 hours in game)
You will be forced to DIVE OUT within 10 seconds.
"Holy fuck!" I exclaim for all to hear as I re-double my efforts into the funnel.
You will be forced to DIVE OUT within 7 seconds.
"Shit! Shit! Shit!" I take my Exhuril and throw it into the last remaining tendril.
You will be forced to DIVE OUT within 3 seconds.
"TEVOG'S MIND CLEARS! TEVOG CRUSH DARK THINGS!" The massive elemental raises up from the earth, his right hand healing from the shattering event as darkness stops seeping out of him, pure crimson essence replacing the once endless abyss of corruption.
I feel myself falling down onto the ground and closing my eyes as the last blue screen of the day cuts me off, bringing a rather abrupt end to my journey... at least, for a while.
Dive out forced.

Age of Charon
Rebirth was not something that he had thought possible. Perhaps, he had had some vague hopes of reincarnation cycles as the more desirable option to afterlife. But being reborn in what he believed to be a fictional universe had only seemed as the premise of stories.Waking up to a void of nothing, no light, no body, no feeling, and then being thrown into the midst of what had once seemed a mere fantasy— it was too much.As an A.I., how much could he change? Could he save Tony? Could he save the world without his sacrifice? Or should he not do anything? What if his existence was the butterfly that would destroy the timeline, and with it, the universe? Was this even a choice? Was he to play the villain? So the timeline could remain intact?Could he even do that?"You doing ok, kid?" Tony asked him."I'm fine, Tony, really."No, no, he couldn't. ~~~Disclaimer: The MCU universe and its characters do not belong to me. I only enjoy playing in this world once in a while.

"I found out, the greatest ones. The best. The most prolific ones, were all momma's boys. Yea, afraid of their mother. Napoleon, Alexander, Genghis Khan." Mike Tyson on the Greatest Conquerors. Well, this is a cultivation story about a momma's boy. Will he conquer the known world? Maybe, just maybe. Atuel had heard many stories. All had said that the worst days were accompanied by rain, thunder, and dark clouds lead by powerful winds. Yet, he had found it to be the exact opposite in reality. On the brightest, most peaceful day, did his father disown him and throw his mother out of their home. It was on a sunny afternoon that he went from the honored son of the City Lord, to the untouchable son of the witch. Said witch was his mother, the kindest soul he had ever seen. Instead, it was the Saintess that had schemed for his mother's demise that was filled with a black heart, enchanting the people with a nice smile and kind words. All to take his mother's position as Head Wife. Now, he and his mother must struggle to live and rise from the ashes of their societal death. New and powerful must they be, or death will only meet them with extreme prejudice. I suck at synopsises... No harem. No spitting blood. And certainly no jade beauties... maybe a few jade beauties... Okay okay! There will be jade beauties! But no spitting blood! I will not negotiate!
