Lord Joyde The Madman: Heylo, Guys and Girls! How are you all doing?
Well alright then! Now that introductions are over, we can finally begin and by that I mean, I can begin.
Anyways, here comes chapter one Of EUPHORIA, I sincerely hope that you enjoy, let us begin.
Don't mind me guys and girls! I'm just a line break...
Zatara Family Mansion - Unknown's Point Of View...
It was a sunny summer day of the year 2022. The sound of metallic gates opening echoes throughout the courtyard of my families mansion as the massive truck bearing the sign of the Aurelius Company, the developers of Euphoria, drove inside.
"Finally decided to spend some money? I'm proud of you, lil' bro!" My older brother Michael exclaims loudly as he parades over to me and then promptly gives me a hard, brotherly smack on the back.
This baboon, currently dressed up in a gold and white tuxedo, is the typical womanizer which you are bound to find in any of the elite families upon this world. Needless to say, he gives me a headache whenever he is in the vicinity."What do you want, Mike?"
"Nothing Leo, just sayin' hi. Is that so wrong?" He grins at me as I turn my eye to look behind him and spot two scantily clad females eagerly awaiting behind him. I turn to look at him in the eye and he actually shivers back, probably scared by the sleepless dark spots in contrast to his pure, princely skin."Don't you have better things to do than poke at my sanity? I mean, there are at least four good plot reasons as to why you shouldn't be paying attention to me."
He gulps and waves his hands in defense."A-ah, come on now. I'm not Audrey, I'm actually just saying hello but... ah whatever, I'm just gonna say it. You're gonna play that EUPHORIA game, right? Could you order a package for me later?"
I quirk my eyebrow at him."Let me guess, you want to try fucking a chick in game since its allowed and possible."
"Ahehhe..." He chuckles lamely as I let out a massive sigh."Fine, I'll have it ordered by tomorrow. If you want the same capsule that I'm gonna get right now though, you'll need to wait for a month for it to be made."
You see, while the typical VR Capsule required to enter EUPHORIA does not cost more than around two thousand American dollar's, my own personal capsule has a set of benefits which include but are not limited to: a sleep-and-play mode, an automatic alarm, maximum comfort materials and so on.

He nods at me and waves me goodbye as I nod back, finally turning my attention to the truck which has managed to finally park itself properly in the meantime. The driver, along with a few mechanics, leaves the truck and opens the backdoor before approaching me."Errr, you must be sir Leonardo, right?"
"Call me a sir one more time and I'll make sure you lose your job, dude. Just Leo from now on will do fine, alright?" He gulps at my answer and chuckles awkwardly."Y-yes, I'll make sure to remember that, Leo. Now, where do we install the capsule?"
"Follow me..." I quietly say as I make my way to the only part of the Mansion where I managed to find some form of peace and quiet. That's right, you heard me. I'm a rich guy who is also a basement dweller, deal with it.
Don't mind me guys and girls! I'm just a line break...
Several Hour's Later - The Basement - Leonardo's Point Of View...
"Finally..." I mutter out as I watch the men leave with hurried steps, probably not wanting to spend a second more than necessary in a place where they unwillingly envy everything their eyes see.
Laying down into the capsule, I let myself smile for the first time in weeks."Dive ON."
"Dive Request Accepted. Legendary User Recognized." The ever-so-feminine voice of the game's AI Zena echoes out within the closed space as the capsule closes down and the full dive goggles are placed on my face... well, they aren't really goggles but you get the point.
Soon, the view of the capsule is completely replaced with an empty white space."Greetings, user Leonardo Zatara. Is this your first time logging on?"
I blink at the overly-curvaceous figure of Zena."Wait, you know that I'm a recognized user but you don't know that I was a beta tester?"
She shakes her head in disbelief."Forgive me, sir. There has been over seven hundred thousand logins this morning, my system cannot keep up with the strain."
"I see, but why hasn't Aurelius made a partner for you?" A curious question escapes me as I raise my hand to seemingly empty air."Show Race Selection."
A set of images appears before me, showing me the available races of EUPHORIA. There's the classics like elves, orcs, dwarf and human, but premium users like myself have access to hybrids and special races.

The Borken, a slave race born of an elven and an orcish parent. They are physically stronger than orcs but also incredibly dumber, usually being used by their parents as pack mules. They have high racial health regeneration, high strength and high stamina, but their stat per level gains are halved and they cannot use any magic. For a premium race, they're the least loved out of all.
"They have been trying to make a partner for me, but they are also trying to make its personality different than mine, which makes copy pasting my programming an impossibility." Makes sense.
Anyway, where was I?"Um, sir? Are you going to make a new character or are you going to stick with your beta?"
Turning around to face her as my thoughts get interrupted again, I reply."You mean to tell me that I can use my old Character?"
She nods."Yes. Character Rhean is still fully available for you to play."
"Delete him. No sense in using an old character and not making use of all the benefits I've probably been given for all of my donations." She nods and within seconds, the level 244 character I spent the entire beta leveling is gone. Why don't I feel bad about doing that? Well... in all honesty, it was just a stupid warrior.
Zena then perks up as she seemingly remembers something important."Ah! That's right, I was going to inform you about all of your benefits. Knowing you, the designers said that you can check any of the benefits off the list should you dislike them."
"Alright, show me." Suddenly, a surprisingly small list of things is shown on screen.
"Start with five hundred gold coins? Check. Start with epic trainee gear? Uncheck. Receive a bonus to every fame gain? Uncheck. Due to your beta accomplishments, start with a Chaos Soul? Check. Start with Chaos magic, aka blood, fire and lightning unlocked? Uncheck." There, that was it.
"Alright then. Which race would you like to chose?" Zena asks me as I turn back around to face the still open race menu. I take a quick look through all of the races and decide that only two are reasonable picks."I was a Xivilai last time which is why I managed to level up so quickly in the first place... are they still hated by all of the races?"
"The perfect realization of the human and elven gene combined has, and will always be, the most hated race within EUPHORIA." I let out a sigh. Xivilai are descendants of elves and humans, which grants them naturally strong bodies with a great mana pool and stats. They are often referred to as the sociopath race. Mainly because you need to donate over a thousand dollars to be able to play them in the first place.
"Oh well, I guess I'll just stick to a human then." A simple and rather droll response."Would you like to change your looks?"
"No thanks. I am what I am, even Rhean was nothing more than me with elven ears added on top." She nods and processes my information.
"Any continental preferences?" Ah right, the starting continent."Which continent has the least players on it currently?"
"The least populated continent is Azarest, due to its rather small amount of low-level mobs and its dangerous terrain." I nod to her as I click to approve. There are six continents in EUPHORIA. Karal, Mendenia, Lix, Gradur, Norask and Azarest.
Shen then bows to me and says."Good luck, sir Leona-wait, the characters name, what's its name?!"
"Joyde." Is my rather simple reply, as it is time to go in and play.
Don't mind me guys and girls! I'm just a line break...
Lord Joyde: I know that it's a tiny chapter barely worth of an introduction but...
Before I continue any further, I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO MAKE THOSE STATUS THINGS...
Y'know, the blue window image where it says things about your characters? How the hell do you use those/ how do you make them?
If anyone would be so kind as to introduce/teach me, I'd love you for it.
EDIT: Just fixing up some typos and stuff, no need to panic, the chapter remains the same plot-wise.
Anyways, read and review! And Good Morning/Day/Night to you all! ADIOS FOR NOW!

Fallout: Vault X
An original novel set in the Fallout universe, written to be accessible to all, featuring unique people and places. Vol.II. out now Fallout: Vault X tells the story of John. A vault dweller, who spent every day of his twenty five years underground. Like his father, and his father before him. Proud to live in the last remaining bastion of humanity, all that survived The Great War of the atomic age. Hidden deep below the surface of the earth, toiling under brutal conditions. Year after year, decade upon decade. All to expand into the natural cave system the Vault occupied, building for the future. However, John knew what his forefathers did not, that everything he’d been taught was a lie. After finishing school at the age of ten, John received his standard issue pipboy. An arm mounted personal computer, worn by everyone in the Vault. Used to coordinate the relentless pace of expansion, needed to work as an apprentice. To learn the craft that would be his life’s work. A noble calling to ensure a future for all that remained of the human race. A quirk of fate saw John equipped not with the crude, clunky, pipboy model his father wore. That almost everyone around him wore. His looked smaller, sleeker, finished in a jet black sheen. And capable of doing far more than its drab counterparts. The world above had been ravaged by atomic flames, yet life clung to its bones. The Red Valley fared better than most in the century since the bombs fell. The clean water and rich soil protected by rolling hills. All spared from direct strikes, for the most part. Life survived here. Trees spawned from charred ground, misshapen, green leaves turned red. Along with simple crops, grown wild at first, then cultivated by the survivors. The scavengers of the old world were inventive, hardy people. All determined to rebuild in the ruins of a world they never knew. In the decades that passed settlements emerged. They grew, spreading along the valley floor. Reclaiming the pre-war remnants of the once industrialised heartland. Salvaging the robotic wonders of a bygone age to build their walls and work their fields. To protect them in the dark of the wasteland. But such things are uncommon in this world, and the rarer something is, the greater its value. And the worth of pre-war technology had not gone unnoticed. The last, real, power in this world rested in the mechanised hands of The Brotherhood of Steel. Forged from the mortally wounded old world military. The Brotherhood used its access to the weapons made for a conflict no one won to strike out into the wastes. Men and women were equipped with advanced armour, aerial transportation, high grade weaponry. Accompanied by the training, strength, and will, to put them to use. They established chapters and set up outputs far and wide. All dedicated to a single purpose. To ensure the technology left abandoned by its long dead creators didn’t fall into the wrong hands. Namely, any hands that were not their own. This is the world John escaped into. A place of horrors brought forth from atomic fire. A place where survival meant battling against the darkness. Fighting a war each day to get to the next. And war...war never changes
