《Double Trouble》15. Everyone (Part 1)

When Jordan came to his senses and woke up, he found himself stuck inside a broom closet with an old mattress on the side. Shouldn’t he have been in his regular dorm room instead? Something must be up. Finding the door to be unlocked, he exited the area and looked around. Jordan came across a window and peeked through; he saw what appeared to be Stanley and Hilary standing by the entrance and looking up.
Jordan pulled the windows open and looked up. His eyes widened in horror upon realizing what timeline he stumbled upon: This was days before the three of them had ever met. Jordan shut the windows closed and ran upstairs as fast as he could, hopefully, to stop the cycle of events from starting all over again.
.-.-.-.
Jordan slammed open the door as soon as he entered the top of the apartment complex, where another man stood on the other side, leaning on the edge, tipping, and about to fall off.
“Stop right there!” Jordan yelled at the top of his lungs, getting the figure’s attention and spooking him.
The man turned around and noticed Jordan. “Huh? Where did you—?”
“Please don’t jump off. Whatever the reason it may be, it isn’t worth it.” Jordan pleaded.
The person turned and looked down, seeing the height and other people watching. “I...” The man stepped off, his body quivering. “I don’t know what to do anymore; I feel so afraid and lost.” He said, as his voice shook.
Jordan walked over and wrapped his arms around the man and pulled him into an embrace, telling him how much it would be ok.
“If there are any troubles you have, you can pour it out and talk to someone you trust or love. It’s okay to feel scared or lost, but you’re not alone, and we’re here for you. I’ll call to get you professional help, alright?”

The man nodded, trying to hold back the tears in his eyes as he continued clutching onto him.
Time passed as the two continued to talk before eventually heading back inside the apartment. Jordan waited for the man to feel confident about heading out before leaving himself. As Jordan stepped out, he was greeted by Stanley and Hilary, who rushed over to him.
“What you did back there, that was incredible!” Stanley exclaimed.
“And a close one,” Hilary added. “You saved the person’s life, you’re a hero!”
“It’s nothing, really.” Jordan scratched the back of his head and replied. “It’s the right thing to do; someone had to help and be there for them in their darkest times.”
“Hey, you look familiar...” Stanley brought up.
Jordan blinked in confusion. “Do you guys not recognize me? It’s me, Jordan.”
“Not really.” Stanley and Hilary responded. “Are you ok?”
Jordan couldn’t believe what he heard. Then, his memory dawned on him: The Diary isn’t in their disposal anymore, so neither Hilary nor Stanley can remember past events. How could Jordan convince the two about the situation they’re in now? Jordan’s eyes drifted off; he lost his sense of balance and fell to the ground.
