Wait a minute, where am I now? Or, for that matter, who am I?

Jordan opened his eyes and shot up wide awake. His body jolted and glanced around. To his shock, he appeared to be back inside his room. Jordan rubbed his head, trying to remember what had happened beforehand, but drew a blank. All he could think up was hearing faint words 'help me' and 'save me please,' but had no clue about the context behind it.

Jordan slowly got up from his bed and nearly fumbled out of it. He reached for his phone on the coffee table, but a small light caught his attention from the corner of his eyes. Jordan pulled open the drawers, and the first thing that caught his eye was a framed picture of Hilary and a note attached to it. His eyes narrowed as he read the letter and studied the pic carefully.

After checking it out for a slight moment, his mind erupted. It all came back to him. As memories came flooding inside his head, he remembered everything now. More questions remained within him; for example, why did Jordan keep getting those visions? Who's calling out to him? What did he do to deserve this?

Jordan peeked through the windows to see if anyone was present outside, then he hurried outside the room. The first thing that caught Jordan's attention when leaving the room was a small magenta book that rested on a chair near the broken elevator. He walked over to inspect the item, which had Hilary's name on the front of the book.

The name sparked some memories that lingered inside his mind. He was slowly piecing things together and remembering more than before. Jordan searched for the owner of the book no matter what, as he felt it would be the first step in recovering his memories.

.-.-.-.

An alarm clock rang on the drawer, nearly toppling off. Hilary extended her arm to press the snooze button to calm it down. She stretched her arms and yawned, rubbing the water around her eyes. Hilary prepared to get ready for the big day, excited to start fresh again since yesterday.

Although, it occurred to her that the dream she had last night might have more of a connection than she realized. There had to be a reason she kept having the same thoughts recently, which unnerved her to no end. Hilary shrugged it off, thinking about not having to worry about it for now, as the dream wasn't even real. She reached into her drawers, deciding to write the current events in her journal book. However, much to her shock, she couldn’t find it anywhere.

Hilary frantically searched the room for the journal, but with no such luck. Hilary stormed off and was about to leave the area; she heard a scream after slamming the door open. Hilary glanced over. Her mouth gaped open upon seeing the man who fell on the floor and covered his face.

"Oh my gosh, are you alright?" Hilary asked with concern as she helped him get up.

"Yeah, I'm fine," Jordan replied.

"Um, do I know you? You must be new here."

Must've been sent back in time again if she doesn't recognize me. "No, I've been here for quite a while now. I feel like we have met before."

"Like in a dream of sorts?" Hilary guessed.

"Maybe?" Jordan shrugged.

"This is weird."

"Oh, that reminds me!" Jordan exclaimed. "I'm looking for the owner of this book; someone left it out in the open." He took out the journal and showed it to Hilary.

"What a coincidence, I was about to search for a book I lost." Hilary said. "Can I have a look?"

"Sure." Jordan gave her the book as Hilary scrutinized it.

She pressed her face against the pages and widened her eyes in shock. Her grip on the edges of the diary tightened as her body grew sweaty. As Jordan was about to ask if she was alright, Hilary looked back up at him in the eyes.

"I can't believe this. Jordan, this is monumental." She spoke up.

Did she say my name? Jordan’s body froze. "Did you remember something?"

"Yes, but we need to discuss this privately." Hilary walked over and gently pushed Jordan into her room. "We can't have anyone else listen in on us." She scratched her chin and pondered on something. "Nobody except..."

She took out her green phone and dialed up a number to call, telling the caller to meet up in her room on the double. Shortly after, Hilary hung up and waited, much to Jordan's confusion.

"Um, can I ask what's going on?" Jordan asked.

"No, not yet," Hilary murmured.
