A soft knock rapped against Tuilene's door which made her jump in place by her bed.
"Mistress Tuilene," the maid on the other side of the door said. "Dinner is ready."
"I- uh," she sputtered. Tuilene quickly tucked the corner of her bed sheet under her mattress. "I'll be right there."
"Please hurry, I believe his Highness has something important to discuss with you."
'The fuck does he want?' she thought.
Tuilene pulled the front side of the top piece of her dress up. She then checked to make sure her sleeves reached her wrists. Tuilene let out a sigh and left her room.
As she went down the hallway, Tuilene noticed that there were more soldiers in the hallway than usual. She got to the dining room where she saw General Deicayn sitting with her family.
'Oh shit...' Tuilene thought.
"Tuilene, you're here," her father said. "You won't believe it. General Deicayn managed to arrive early."
"What wondrous news..." she muttered.
"Wonderful, indeed," Deicayn said. "You have truly grown into a beautiful woman, Princess."
"Th-Thank you for your kind words," Tuilene said through a fake smile.
"Now that he's back, we can step up the wedding ceremony," her father announced. "It will be tomorrow."
Tuilene felt her stomach drop.
A light chuckle escaped Deicayn's throat. "I greatly look forward to it. A wedding is a great way to celebrate my victory."
"Tuilene, sit down," her mother ordered her. "Join us for dinner."
One of the maids pulled out a chair for Tuilene to sit on. She sat down and picked up a fork to eat the meal before her.
"The General was just regaling us a tale of the battle against the Eikoryu Empire," her father said.
Tuilene's two brothers were busy stuffing their faces to say anything in her presence.
"Please continue, General," her mother said.
"Thank you, my queen," Deicayn said with a bow of his head. "So I don't know who was in charge of the Eikoryu's army but the idiot thought that sending waves of lightly armed slaves would tire my army. All that happened was they were slaughtered by our cannons. I'm almost positive that their blood made the battlefield muddy and slowed their real soldiers. It was a comical sight to see these soldiers slip on the reddish mud."
Everyone at the table chuckled. Tuilene remained quiet and felt sick to her stomach at these people who laughed at the slaughter of slaves. She felt her appetite leave her.
"May I be excused?" she asked her mother and father. "I'm not too hungry."
"You may," her mother said.
Tuilene got up from her chair and quickly left the room.
"What's her problem?" the king thought out loud.
"Oh, be kind," his wife said. "She's just excited over the wedding coming so soon. Probably can't eat due to nervousness. I know I had trouble eating the day before I married you."

Tuilene stormed into her room while hyper-ventilating. She paced back and forth in front of her bed. Tuilene grumbled as she did.

"Damn them. Damn all of them!"
'Okay, okay, remain calm,' she thought. 'You knew that this was coming up. Your schedule was just moved up.'
Tuilene stopped pacing and released a long-held breath. A knocking at her door made her jump in place.
"Who is it?" Tuilene asked.
"It's General Deicayn," he answered.
'What does he want?'
"Just a moment." Tuilene walked over to her door and unlocked it. She opened it a crack to see the General standing there. "How may I help you, General?"
"Your parents sent me to speak with you and there is much we must discuss."
General Deicayn pushed his way into her room. The sudden action took Tuilene by surprise and she jumped back. Deicayn closed the door behind him and then locked it.
"Why did you lock the door?" Tuilene asked.
"There are many things you must be made aware of for when you become my latest wife." He ignored her question. "You are not to interact with any noble in public engagements. I already have a wife to handle diplomatic situations. Your role is very simple. You are to satisfy my sexual desires and provide me children when I desire. Do you understand?"
'Gross...'
"Yes, General."
"Good. It's nice to have a new wife with some sense. I cannot begin to tell you how many of my current wives are a few wheels short of a wagon."
'You said your piece, now fuck off.'
Tuilene noticed the General scan her body and a lewd smirk came to his face.
"Upon getting a closer look at you, you really do have a great body."
"Uh, thank you, General. I really should get some rest for tomorrow. So if you can leave..."
Deicayn moved towards Tuilene.
"What are you-?" Tuilene blurted out.
Deicayn was right in her face. His right hand grabbed her by the chin. Tuilene was so shocked by the sudden action, she didn't knock his hand right away.
"It has been a while since I've explored the intimacies of the bedroom," he said.
Tuilene's eyes went wide in panic and she quickly backed away.
"Ah, uh, General, we should leave such a moment for our wedding night tomorrow. To make it, uh, special."
Deicayn rolled his eyes and scoffed, "Don't be a prude. We're as good as married. Why not celebrate the end of our war and my return right now?"
"I-I don't think I'm ready, General," Tuilene said in a shaky voice. "My heart's not ready!"
Deicayn surprised Tuilene with a backhand to the face. The blow knocked Tuilene onto her bed. Deicayn crawled on top of her before she had a chance to react.
"Get off me!" she roared with tears in her eyes.
"I am your husband, you will obey me!" Deicayn said back to her while he struggled against her hands.
Tuilene held Deicayn's head back with her right hand to prevent him from kissing her. "You're not my husband!" Tuilene launched her left palm towards his neck.
The palm strike made Deicayn cease his attempts. He jumped off of Tuilene and held his neck. Deicayn looked down on Tuilene and saw a needle extended from her left wrist. With a look of fury on her face, Tuilene pushed herself off of the bed and quickly brushed off her dress.
"You are nothing more than a disease that needs to be eradicated."
"Y-You!" The feeling in his legs went away and Deicayn fell to his knees. "You're Liberator!"

Tuilene stomp-kicked Deicayn in the face and knocked him onto his back.
"Never thought that the slave trade's biggest enemy was the daughter of the Royal family?" Tuilene scoffed. She held up her hand to show a ring on her middle finger. "A ring to disguise my Status and a necklace to disguise my voice."
Tuilene removed her ring.

"You bitch!"
"Oh, don't flatter me."
Deicayn felt his arms go numb. All he could control were his eyes and his rapidly weakening breathing. Tuilene smiled in disdain.
"How do you like my newest poison? I got it from the liver of a Spiky Gopper Fish. It's fairly slow acting compared to my other poisons, but it has an interesting effect. The poison causes your organs to shut down one by one as it spreads through your system. Your limbs are the first to go as the nerves slowly die off. Then the liver gets hit. The kidneys. Considering the smell coming from your pants, your bowels have already been affected."
Deicayn tried to say something to Tuilene but found himself mute. Only gasps escaped his lips.
"And here's the kicker. You know what how this poison will kill you? When it paralyses your lungs and diaphragm, you suffocate to death."
Deicayn's mouth stopped moving and only his eyes were capable of movement. His lungs have ceased to function.
"During all this time, while killing slavers and freeing slaves, I have been stealing documents that contained precious Intel on the Zokot Kingdom. I was originally planning to join Scarlet Night once I felt like I collected enough, but that all changed a month ago. I realize now that my place is by Thomas' side. Your arrival made me move my plans up, but we all have to adapt." Tuilene sighed in relief. "You know... it feels liberating now that this is all out in the open. Spending years living a second life is quite stressful. Thanks for listening, you piece of shit."
The last bit of life in Deicayn's eyes left.
You gained 2200 EXP
"Agony take you," she uttered under her breath.
Tuilene walked over to her bed and, with one hand, flipped the mattress up. She partially spun in place and kicked the mattress away. Under where the mattress sat was a wooden board. Tuilene poked her fingers into two holes in the side of the board. Inside the holes, she flipped a switch. A click sound was made and then the board opened by a few centimeters.
Tuilene reached under the gap and opened her hidden compartment. Inside was everything she has gathered over the years. Documents were piled all over the area and at the center of it all was her disguise she wore on missions.
Before she removed her clothes, she closed Deicayn's eyelids.
"No peeking."
She quickly removed her dress and undergarments and went through the process to dress herself in her field outfit. First was the roll of bandages she used to compress her breasts to disguise her gender when she fought. Next, were her black pants and over coat. Tuilene put on her bird mask and completed her outfit. She shoved all the Zokot Intel into her Inventory.
As she prepared her gear, her mind raced with thoughts of deciding her next actions. For years she struggled with the idea of bringing any harm to her family. Despite how they treated her over the years, there was still a thread that connected them to her as family. However, after they had her engaged to a rapist, that last thread was severed. Now she was set in her path.
"Everyone dies."

Tuilene snuck into the palace's dining hall where the kingdom's top assassins were drinking and eating. These assassins were regrouped at the castle to be ordered to go after Thomas. Tuilene stayed in the shadows and out of sight of the occupants.
She sneaked into the kitchen which was devoid of any workers. Tuilene was very familiar with the kitchen and understood how it was staffed and stocked. As she expected, the workers left immediately after serving the assassins.
The only ones who ate food from this kitchen was the Royal family and their guests. Any left over food was thrown out, so it was safe to tamper with. Near the entrance of the kitchen was a large wine cask that the assassins were getting their drinks from. Tuilene smirked as she stabbed a small spike through the top of the wooden cask. She took out a vial and dumped the entire solution into the cask through the hole she made.
Most people with a high enough Identity skill would usually be able to tell if something was poisoned. This is where Tuilene's Conceal Poison skill came in. This magic skill, that she has had since she could remember, was capable of disguising poison added to drinks or food.
The poison she used in the wine was called Drunk Poison. The symptoms of this poison are pretty much the exact same as alcohol, only accelerated. Coordination and self-control are the first to go. Fatigue soon follows and the victim falls asleep. Once asleep, the poison forces the victim to vomit. The victim then chokes on their own vomit. Death usually occurs within one to two hours. To someone who isn't professional at examining bodies, it appears that the person died from drinking too much alcohol.
This poison was to disguise their deaths so her family wouldn't immediately get suspicious.
"You owe me one, Thomas," she gleefully hummed to herself.
With the wine poisoned, Tuilene turned her attention to the food in the kitchen. The cooks always set up the food for all meals for the next inside the cold room on the right shelf. Tuilene entered the room and found a pack of Blue Swine meat. She recognized the ingredient and knew what the cooks had planned.
Fairly recently, Tuilene expanded her skill set to include Cook so she could learn how to poison food after a prior failed attempt. Putting poison in food before it is cooked can result in most or all of it being cooked away. She needed to ensure that her family's death was guaranteed.
Her eyes fell upon her salvation: The wine for breakfast. Tuilene popped the cork and poured in her vial of Gynir poison. She recorked the wine, shook it, and then placed it back on the shelf. Gynir poison was an extremely fast acting and violent poison. After one spoonful, her family would die within minutes. The poison breaks apart blood vessels. The victim vomits blood and dies from severe internal bleeding.
"Enjoy your breakfast, you monsters."
Tuilene escaped from the kitchen without the assassins noticing her presence. She went through her usual route out of the estate and was quickly out of the castle without sounding any alarms.
There was no turning back at this point. The nobles of the kingdom are either going to believe that she was responsible for the chaos or someone else was and she was kidnapped by them. Either works for her.
As far as she's concerned, Tuilene Morbus died this night.

What seems like an innocent game trope turns into a nightmare. This is a story of tragedy and the path to ultimate power. All in the hopes of an uncertain survival. _________ This fiction has NOT been abandoned. I made a haughty promise earlier to not worry because I'll continue this series, and with things lately, I've only proved myself a liar. Further promises dwindled, and I've lost trust. So many things have been going on recently that I've been booked. I will refrain from making any future guarantees or promises as my busy schedule will stay with me for a long long while. Time for me to actually spend on writing and revising won't appear until at the least November 19. I won't say expect that's when I'll restart, but you can expect expecting it to maybe happen. That's really shallow. But with everything going on, I've let my small reading base down. I apologize. I still stick by my statement though that I won't abandon this project. I plan to stick it to the end, no matter the delay. Most importantly, thank you everyone; readers who both like and dislike my work. I appreciate your time spent on my dumb imagination. Stay toasty my readers in this winter season. Cheers. UPDATE: We're back on track. Thank you for your patience. Any future readers, heyo! Glad you're here. UPDATE 2: So far it's been 21 days since I last uploaded a chapter. The best thing done for any fiction, no matter how good it is, is that it continues, and I have a bad history with that. 1 fiction on hiatus and already more delays with less than 20 chapters in this fiction. I've been very preoccupied with adding more things to do in my life rather than actually committing to any particular thing. That applies primarily to this. I cannot abandon this, as busy as my future looks and will look as I get busier and busier. Someday, I hope, I will be able to sit down and just write. just. write. But for now, I ask for patience. I suppose I'm glad this fiction hasn't picked up so that I don't disappoint too many people if any really. But I need to commit and it's going to happen sometime and sometime soon. No more flowery words. I'll see you later. UPDATE 3: It's very evident I won't be able to pick up this story for a while. With AP Testing, competitions, and other things I am busier than ever. But I must complete this fiction. I have too. Until next time. UPDATE 4: It is now the summer. I owe everyone an apology. Chances are, nobody's around to see this, and that is okay. I only blame myself for this sort of brokenness of a fiction, not that it is actually that bad but I am just exaggerating it for dramatic effect. But what's not exaggerated is the severity of my broken promise. I apologize for my naive claims about finishing a novel that I couldn't finish and that I didn't have the discipline to finish. Nor the skills, really, I was and am still an immature writer. What is to place now? I want to make it clear I understand this is my fault. I will man up to this. And I will accept any criticism. I understand I messed up. Reading Stephen King's On Writing made it clear to me that I need to do two things:Read lots. And write lots.I have done neither. If I don't have the time to read often, how do I expect to write? I need to become more experienced. I need to become a serious writer. So if I want to dream of continuing, I need to at least fulfill both requirements. I enjoy writing. I haven't written seriously outside of school in a while. I planned to write this summer and finish this. I made a lot of promises that I didn't keep.So there's that. I won't enact any self-pity, or be foolishly obsessed. What I did was wrong, and I must deal with it. I let down readers. And I apologize.I hope I can find forgiveness. This is a writer's sin.I won't promise I'll finish this. I intend to finish this, at some point, because writing is fun and I want to write. But how things are don't reflect that. Maybe I'll finish this at some point. Maybe I won't. I won't be naive to make that promise.I thank everyone who has read this if this is the end. If not, and hopefully not, I thank everyone who is to read future chapters. I thank everyone who allowed me to live in the miniscule little dream of mine as I passed my days. I thank everyone who cares enough to read this. Until next time, peace everyone. Thank you. You are all great readers and great people. I wish everyone the best in whatever reading/writing endeavors follow you henceforth.
