Chapter ideas I cut or altered to improve flow or because they didn't really add anything to the story:

*Wyverns attacks England during the royal wedding and kidnapped the Prince's wife, and the MCs team up with the Prince to rescue his wife

*Instead of the haunted mansion chapter, it was going to be about kids who were camping. They would tell each other scary stories at a camp fire. A creature would spawn in that has the ability to take the forms of people's fears. Forms the creature would have taken includes the Hook Man, Slenderman, and Bloody Mary. This chapter would be a slasher/creature feature-style chapter that would end with a couple kids be rescued by Tom's team.

Alternate or cut ideas:

*Instead of King Arthur and Umbra, the organization was going to be a consortium of business men who made money off of discoveries made on Xothican creatures and items. The leader was going to be a Chinese business man

*The final fight would have had the leader of Umbra using a modified fiften-foot tall Golem as a sort of magic-tech mech. The Golem would have different runes in it that gave it different abilities.

*It would have been defeated by having its ruins destroyed one by one until the pilot was exposed.

*I went with King Arthur because it tied the two worlds together much better.

*Originally had the idea that Mordiggian and Wendigo would only give 1 exp. Cut due to foreseen balancing issues.

*Original framing job of Thomas by Umbra would have included accusations of assault of various women around the world that would have made people think he was also abusing the Xothicans. I cut this out as it would not make much sense as the UN would have him under such a microscope that it would be a plot hole that they couldn't immediately prove he didn't assault any woman around the world. I made the framing job a lot more subtle.

*In the Occuloraptor chapter, I had the idea that Tom would find an egg and hatch a baby one for himself. Cut it since it was too similar to Jurassic World.

*In the final fight with Mordiggian, I had tossed around the idea of having him grow to the size of a Kaiju when he consumed the obelisk. The fight was going to end with Tom teleporting a MOAB into his mouth and down his throat. Cut since the damage of a MOAB would have been competely ungodly in Manhattan.
