《Rise of the Lich!》Chapter 25 - City of Spider Part 3*

“I may have not completely thought this through. So, I got some fire related magical artefacts to get rid of that money and good news everyone! The monkey is gone! Bad news though, the forest as well. Man, I really underestimated the power of those fire crystals, huh? Well it's not too bad. Yeah sure, there IS an angry crowd of forest elves trying to get my head but as long as I'm with Diana I should be safe!
Hopefully.
Anyway, so the magical item inside the chest is a small stone called ‘Dragon Tear' and all we now have to do is activate it! Sadly, I have no idea how. Also quite sadly, the old man that told me about the item lived inside the forest. Not so sadly, he's not mad at me! Once again very sadly, that's because he turned to ashes when his house caught on fire...
Well I have the item at least and can study it! I'm a great scientist so finding out how this thing works shouldn't be too hard!
Hopefully.”
-From Jeff Rutherions 'How I married a Dragon!'
*Sirius POV*
It took them longer than I thought it would to prepare this little banquet. We were presented with a lot of interesting looking meals and drinks as well as some dancing spiders for our entertainment. I'm not sure if their dance was supposed to impress us or make us laugh...
To be honest it did both things to me.
I really would like to eat by the way, but I don't even have a tongue to taste anything. I asked Saxin if she had any souls lying around but it seems like they don't have any. Well, at least Doro is having a great time. While he was eating, and joking around with the Elite-soldier spider I was discussing some things with Saxin and gathered a lot of interesting information.
Lucifer is one of the eight gods from down below. Each of them represent one sin and once held great power. Because of their imprisonment their influence on this world has shrunken drastically. They are only able to give their divine protection to a single person instead of the usual 100 per god. I have to say I'm kind of honored to have been chosen by Lucifer now.
The names of those gods are as followed: Lucifer (Pride), Mammon (Greed), Asmodeus (Lust), Beelzebub (Envy), Belphegor (Gluttony), Aamon (Wrath) and Abaddon (Sloth). The name of the eight god is not known and when I asked why she just stayed silent...
Well I have to say that I'm actually kind of having fun right now. Who would have thought that you could have an interesting conversation with a spider? I certainly didn't. I also asked her why she's down here even though she should have enough power to get herself a kingdom or something like that.

She said something about being a cave spider in her heart and that they get enough adventurers thanks to their traps they have all around this mountain to impregnate anyway. Yeah, they need humans or elves to lay eggs into in order to grow in population. To be honest this seems like an ineffective way to me, shouldn't monsters be better? After all they have more flesh, right? Well seems like spiders grow better if they are hatch out off civilized races. Well if it's like that I guess it's understandable. I also think that quality goes over quantity. Now I would like to know ho-
“Mist-t-t-tress! Mist-t-t-tress! We have a huge problem!” (small spider)
A little spider suddenly appeared and stared yelling in a voice way to loud for her small body.
“What is it?” (Saxin)
“An adventurer appeared and started to wreck the city! She seems to be at least S-Rank... maybe even X!” (small spider)
Oh? An X-Ranked Adventurer? Interesting.
I have never seen one of those but I did hear a lot of stories about them. Though it would be foolish to go see her now since I'm a monster and all...
“…Tell everybody to get inside and to not come out until I say otherwise. I'm sorry Sirius, seems like I have to go.” (Saxin)
“What? Do you actually feel able to kill that adventurer?” (Sirius)
“Fufufu I have already devoured dragons my dear, so don't worry. Just stay here and wait for me.” (Saxin)
As if I'm worried about a spider. If she dies the whole city will go down and I still have no idea how to get out of here. Well let's hope she'll be able to do it. Saxin moves her huge body through the door and leaves the room.
…
Why do I feel worried?
*Third Person POV*
A Greater Fae was currently standing at top a ten-meter-high cocoon and looking at the City of Spiders. She wore an extravagant looking silver plate armor and carried a long spear as well as a shield on her back. She wasn't wearing a helm so her face was out in the open. Said face was quite beautiful, with elven like pointy ears and long eyelashes as well as small nose and mouth. The only thing that differentiated her from an elf were her eyes and her skin color. She had competently white skin. Not pale, but completely white. Her eyes glowed in a strong silver and there were two white dots inside of her pupils.
“Disgusting.” (Fae)

She was thinking how such an abomination of a city could exist. Well it doesn't matter to her since the only thing she's here for is inside the huge black cocoon in the center of the city. In there is the man she has to kill.
It didn't take her long to find the man called 'Sirius' after all his name is one that holds power and with some magic she was pretty quickly able to find him. She just has to follow the magical compass and that's it. She is quite lucky that he has a unique name and that Aya was dumb enough to just say it.
She readies herself to go to said cocoon but then she stops, surprised about what's coming out of it. An enormous spider is crawling towards her direction. The old Fae waits until the Spider is nearby and then yells out to her.
“Haha, so that's the lair of Saxin, aspect of spiders? Should have guessed that only something ridiculous as you could be responsible for this 'thing' here.” (Fae)
“Fufufu so you know who I am? Aren't you awfully rude then? Really, I hoped everyone had as many manner as that lovely skeleton.” (Saxin)
“Tch. No need to show any manners to a soon to be dead spider.” (Saxin)
“You are either quite brave or just plain stupid if you stay here after figuring out who I am. Why are you here anyway if you didn't know I was here? There shouldn't be anything of interest to one so strong as you inside these mountains, right?” (Saxin)
“A man named Sirius is here. If you give him to me, I'll let you live.” (Fae)
“Sirius? Fufufu so he pissed you off, huh? What did he do, steal your heart or something? I guess we won't come to an agreement since I plan on marrying him.” (Saxin)
“…That's incredibly disgusting.” (Fae)
“Oh it's not that bad. Yeah, he's a bit bony but I really like the way he ticks. Also, his manners are great. He is not rude but also not too distant on the same time. He just decided to call me Saxin ten seconds after meeting me! No one has ever done that before him!” (Saxin)
“That's not what I meant... I'm pretty sure it wouldn't even work.” (Fae)
“Are you talking about sex? He can't have that anyway so it's fine. Huh? Why are you getting all red? You are a greater Fae and thus a few hundred years old, right? Don't tell me you are still a virgin after all that time...” (Saxin)
The Spider aspect looks at the Fae with pity in her eyes and said Fae explodes in rage.
“None of your business! I'll show you what it means to piss me off!” (Fae)
The Fae jumps of the cocoon and draws her spear. She's flying in the sky like an arrow while pointing her spear at the spider. Saxin quickly dodges the attack and leaves the Fae quite surprised. Someone as huge as her shouldn't be able to move so quickly. Saxin stretches her hand out and forms a palely glowing blood red orb in her hands.
“So, we are really doing this? Very well then. You won't mind if I move us to my domain then, right?” (Saxin)
The blood red orb exploded and a red light warps itself around both of them. After a few seconds, both of them find themselves inside another place. The sky in here is competently black and not a single star can be seen. The ground is made out of a sea of blood which stretched out as far as you could see. Huge pillars made out of blood which are flowing upwards endlessly towards the sky are scattered all around with a few hundred meters of space between them.
“So, that's 'Domain of the Aspects'? Hm, this place really fits you Bloodspider.” (Fae)
“Fufufu, of course it does. After all it's not much more than a reflection of my soul.” (Saxin)
“Well it's a prefect stage. Ready?” (Fae)
“Oh? You are surprisingly friendly all of a sudden fufufu. I'm ready whenever you are.” (Saxin)
The Fae grinned and charged towards Saxin.
Meanwhile Sirius was looking at a giant Red Orb that was flying above the City.
“What's that?” (Sirius)
“Our Mistress' Domain, 'Blut Reich'.” (small spider)
“Domain? Is that like a skill?” (Sirius)
“Well strictly speaking, yes. But you can't learn or level it! Only the aspects can use such a spell.” (small spider)
“What's an aspect?“ (small spider)
“…Long story.” (small spider)
“Well we have nothing better to do anyway, right?” (Sirius)
“…” (small spider)

Unlimited Evolution narrates the struggles of a young man from earth who gets the short end of the stick even in a different world. After a betrayal that resulted in his death, he wakes as a monster in a dungeon where even his fellow monsters saw him as nothing but food. The story will be a little slow-paced in the beginning and the battles will be calculated, brutal, and short. The litRPG element will be there and the system plays an important role in world-building. I'll try to explore each and every character I introduce as much as I can. Hopefully, I do a good job in that aspect. **I hope you enjoy this book of mine.**

Game Dungeon
A recently deceased man finds himself imprisoned in a prismatic gem, confused and missing pieces of his memory he wishes to play video games, but to his horror, he is stuck in a world of sword and magic. Hello! I am the writer of Game Dungeon thanks for your feedback! Although my intentions were not to insult the reader I can see how someone would think that way. I have no plans to change it as of now and it's better to put it out there as a warning that I use a lot of words with similar meanings but are used very irregularly. Honestly speaking my English teacher was weird and a lot of words I use are more complicated than they need to be, but again something I was drilled into was not reusing words apart from "I".
