Arthur was sitting at the table, his brow twitching with irritation.
"I just wanted to play a serious game of Dungeons and Dargons... and you..." He thought.
A tear welled up in his eyes.
"And you bastards ruined it for me!"
"I stab all the guards," John said.
"You can't just stab all of them!" Marble argued.
"Let's see what the die says..." John rolled the dice after getting a nod of approval form Arthur.
JohnWillSmart rolled the dice, getting a sixteen.
On the holographic display, his character ran out and slashed at the enemies, cutting down eight of them.
"Damn..." John sighed.
"I play the guitar..." Grim said coldly.
"Would you do something else for a change?!" Arthur and Marble demanded in unison.
Grim rolled his eyes.
"I want to seduce the guards," He said.
"..."
"..."
"What?" Arthur asked.
"If I can't get by with music I'll use my charisma," he shrugged.
Arthur pinched the bridge of his nose.
"Ok... roll..."
He rolled a twenty.
Arthur sighed.
"Yup... you did it..."
Grim's blank look carried over to his character who made a seductive pose at the guards who all blushed.
"So lewd..." Marble commented.
"Yeah, well, to the twelve-year-old Arthur that set up this game, there was very little difference between being romantic and flashing someone..." Arthur explained.
"And some people never grow out of that mindset..." Marble commented.
"Wait, you made this when you were twelve?!" demanded JohnWillSmart.
"Yeah, I wasn't the most... talented dungeon master," Arthur laughed.
"I thought you said you didn't have anyone to play it with back in the future!" John exclaimed.
"Yeah, I played it by myself..." Arthur replied.
"That explains the single bed..." John thought.

"He may be a literal terrorist and or villain... but I sort of feel bad for the guy..." thought John.
"Anyway! It's my turn!" Arthur exclaimed.
"I command the guards who are now deeply enchanted by Grim's looks to aid us in our escape!" Arthur cried as he tossed the die onto the table with the might of a lightning strike.
He rolled an anticlimatic eleven.
"..."
The guards look at Arthur. "Mmm... fine, we'll consider your request... for ~Grim's sake~" said the fidgeting guard.
"...I don't like how it talked..." Marble commented.
"Advanced tech, eh?" Arthur laughed.
"I REQUEST YOU HELP US LEAVE THIS PRISON!" Arthur exclaimed.
He rolled a nine.
The guard scratched his beard.
"I don't know... You guys are prisoners for a reason..." the guards said.
He looked over to Arthur and approached him slowly, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"Perhaps we could come to an agreement," he winked at Arthur who felt a chill run down his spine.
"WHAT DID YOU DO TO THE NPCS!?" demanded John.
"I would also like to know the answer," Marble agreed.
"Grim increased their XXX stat from zero to one-hundred with his charisma..." Arthur explained wiping some sweat from his forehead.
He looked to Marble.
"What about you Marble?" asked Arthur.
"First of all, it's Mable..." she began.
"And second of all, I grab onto John," she explained.
"What, why?" asked Arthur.
"You'll see," she replied.
Arthur looked to John,
"I Shadow-step out of this weird-ass dungeon," John said plainly.
"Hehe, ass-dungeon..." laughed one of the guards,"
"QUIET, NPC!" Arthur exclaimed smashing the table as the realisation that his character was doomed came upon him,
He rolled the dice and got a nineteen.

Both he and Marble teleported out of the dungeon.
Marble and John disappeared from the screen as Arthur looked around.
A dozen muscular guards all around.
"Damn it... if this goes the way we all know it will we'll have to censor half of the chapter..." Arthur looked around, beads of sweat on his brow.
"Damn you, John and Marble, for abandoning us!"
Grim grabbed placed a hand on Arthur's shoulder.
Arthur looked over and saw an unusual sight, Grim was smiling.
"Grim..." Arthur said uncertainly.
"I have a plan!" Grim said.
Arthur's shocked expression changed to a victorious grin.
"Alright, I'll leave it up to you," Arthur said passing his turn.
Grim grabbed the die and threw them,
"I-..."
"Play my guitar," he said, his face returning to the usual glum look.
"YOU ASSHOLE!" Arthur cried grabbing onto the still emotionless Grim and shaking him viciously.
"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING TO MY CHARACTER!"
Grim spoke up as he was being shaken from side to side.
"Hold... on... Arthur... this... is... part... of... my... plan..."
Arthur let go of him.
"Are you serious?" he asked.
Grim nodded.
"Because I want to play a sleep spell on the guitar," he added.
"Grim, that is genius!" Arthur exclaimed.
Grim rolled another twenty and put everyone in the room except himself to sleep.
"..." Arthur's brow twitched in frustration as he looked at Grim with a fake smile.
"Grim... buddy... what about me?" he asked.
Grim looked at him and back to the board before he shrugged.
He looked back to Arthur and gave him a thumbs-up.
"Good luck!" he said.
"DON'T GIVE ME THAT! DRAG MY CHARACTER OUT OF THE ROOM!" he argued.
"Eh~" Grim shrugged.
"DON'T "EH" ME! YOU PUT ME INTO THIS MESS!" Arthur cried.
Grim let out a sigh.
His character grabbed onto Arthur and started dragging him away.
This took several turns.
"Hey, Arthur, why don't we get to take our turns?" asked John.
"That's because you're off-screen..." he grumbled.
"Are you mad we left you in the rape dungeon?" asked Marble with a fake look of pity.
"No, of course not, why would I be upset?!" he demanded.
"Ah, good, I was worried you were holding a grud-..." John began but was smacked over the head by Marble.
"He is holding a grudge!" she exclaimed.
"How is this guy's name JohnWillSmart?!" Marble thought.
"Why did she hit me?!" Thought JohnWillSmart.
"Why didn't John teleport me out too?!" Arthur thought.
"Why didn't Arthur just... refuse to let us do all this?" thought Grim.
The game continued for a few more hours, eventually resulting in Arthur getting molested on too many times and quitting the game.
John's and Marble's characters never returned onto the screen, some say they died, others say they led decent lives.
Grim proceeded to strip before some more guards, a militia was sent to stop him, he stripped before them making them join his side.
Then an army was sent from the royal capital, he also stripped in front of them and made them join.
He continued up the chain of command, eventually seducing god and later the universe itself.
As for the guard, he left to do some soul searching and became a great adventurer, tales spread across the world, legends about Brian the dragon rapist.

The Stars Have Eyes
The universe was a vast, empty, dark, and uncaring place. Then life happened, and the universe was changed forever. Only a teeny-tiny bit, but definitely different. Then again, the universe changes a teeny-tiny bit every second of every day. For instance, if someone were to get off the couch and randomly drink a glass of milk? Bam! One less glass of milk in the universe. Changed forever. Well, excluding any time-travel shenanigans, but anyone who puts a big old hole in the time-space continuum just to un-drink a glass of milk should really reevaluate their priorities. Unless, of course, they were attempting to prevent some massive catastrophe vis-a-vis said glass of milk. Such a scenario is by no means impossible, as one should never underestimate the importance of calcium. Another important tip for any life forms out there is to keep things in perspective. Some look at the vastness of creation in relation to themselves and go, ‘Man, this sucks!’ These people really need to narrow their focus. Sure, they will never affect anything happening on the other end of the galaxy, but so what? That’s way the heck over there, where it doesn’t matter. Therefore, in order to maintain a healthy mindset, it is important to narrow one’s perspective to the things and people that affect them, and that they can affect in turn. But what happens if one is an unfathomable cosmic being from beyond the veil of reality? What happens when such an existence is capable of influencing entire swathes of the universe just by its presence? A creature such as Magh'rathlak the Observer? That particular entity is only about average as far as reality-warping creatures from the dawn of time go, so its influence over the fabric of reality is rather limited. And it still struggles to keep things in perspective. That, among other things, is why it decided to narrow its worldview a bit by compressing the maddening vastness of its being into a single corporeal form. Magh'rathlak had never tried such a feat, but that wasn't about to stop it. After all, how hard could being human possibly be?

Seeker
The Gods are dead As they bled dry, so did the magic which gave them birth. In the new era of technology, its pathetic remnants must hide in the shadows or be locked away. In the ancient era of magic two beings often stood out: Galileo, an immortal scholar obsessed with knowledge and Angelica, the most loyal servant of the greatest among the now dead Gods. But why are they worthy of mention? Because after millennia of isolation, the two emerge in the new world beyond their reckoning. The entire story is told from the third person, however, each chapter will be told from the perspective of only one of the characters. This will be signified by the first letter of their names after the chapter number to avoid confusion. I submitted this fiction as a [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] as well as a participant in National Novel Writing Month. The original challenge had been to finish this entire faction within the month of November reaching the 55.5k word minimum. This goal had been achieved. I do not own the cover picture
