As the group was running through the illusions they saw a massive explosion of steam in the distance.
Moments later the saw Jordan being flown over in the air form the site of the explosion.
With a tree-tendril, Bromy caught Jordan in mid-air before placing him back on the ground next to the rest.
His hair was messed up from the explosion.
"Are you the one who blew up the river?" asked Alex.
"Yeah!" Jordan replied uncertainly.
"Some freaky gremlins zombie child tried drowning me, so I launched, like... fifty fire bolts... I didn't expect the steam explosion to be this bad!"
"Fifty?! How are you not out of mana!?" asked Alex.
"It's an illusion! We have infinite mana!" Jordan replied.
"...we do?"
The entire team spun around.
The zombies ran a bit closer before stopping as Bromy felt the corners of his mouth stretching.
He raised his hand into the air.
"The harvest druids least mana-effective spell, blood harvest!" Bromy cast the spell as from all over the map millions of mosquitos gathered, they blocked out the sun as they swooped down, within seconds the only thing left of the zombies were sacks of dry skin.
And with that, all fears were defeated, prompting the party to wake up from the illusion.
"We're free!" Curstl and Revenberry exclaimed in unison.
Bromy let out a sigh as he felt the vampire smack the top of his head, prompting him to choke her out again.
"Bromy, please... stop that..." Bonifacius pleaded.
"She's a lot easier to carry around like this..." Bromy remarked.
"Hey! You woke up!" JohnWillStab called out from the boss room.
"JohnWillStab!" Bonifacius called out.
"Corpse, you're alive!" Bromy remarked suspiciously.
"I killed the boss while you guys were passed out, he was pretty easy to kill... the idiot put all his mana into controlling the illusion so he couldn't kill m-" he was cut off by a scalpel to the throat from Bromy.
"Nice try, Hexweaver, I refuse to believe JohnWillStab isn't useless!" Bromy exclaimed dragging the knife down, essentially splitting John's torso open.
"Yeah, John had his few moments in volume three, but he can't defeat a boss monster himself!" Jordan called out before sending a bolt of fire to incinerate John.
"You idiots do realise you could have asked me if he's lying?" asked Thal.
Everyone turned to Thal.
"Was he lying?" asked Bromy.
Thal's comment caused beads of sweat to form on Bromy's and Jordan's foreheads.
"Nope..."
Meanwhile, outside the main entrance to the dungeon...
JohnWillStab respawn minutes later outside of the dungeon, before the locked front gate.
JohnWillStab has been eliminated from the dungeon-team, his level reached twenty-seven.

"I guess I should have brought the corpse with me as proof..." John sighed.
Meanwhile in the dungeon...
Bonifacius walked ahead of the group.
"I cannot believe thou stabbed our friend!" Bonifacius exclaimed.
"What part of what I did was out of character for me?" asked Bromy with a raised eyebrow.
"It could have been an illusion after all..." remarked the vampire.
"Yeah, but apparently everyone here doesn't question how John defeated the boss!" Bromy pouted before crossing his arms.
"There, there, my loyal blood doner!" The vampire was back on his shoulder somehow, patting his head.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?" he asked coldly.
"What do you mean? I'm comforting you," she replied sounding almost upset at the question.
One choke-hold later the group proceeded through the dungeon.
"Next is the giant golem, right?" asked Alex.
"Indeed, have thou fought this boss before?" asked Bonifacius.
"Nah, I did read about it, though," Alex explained.
As the party went on to fight the next boss, JohnWillStab was approached by a group of strange individuals.
In the front was a man with spiky hair and a tiny beard. He was blond and had blue eyes, he also had a short ponytail.
He was dressed in a short-sleeved striped shirt.
Behind him was blond-haired man, his bangs covered his face on one side, he looked elegant, wearing a long coat with sword-themed buttons and white trousers.
In the back was a pale-looking man with long hair and bags under his eyes.
He wore a black hoodie and black sweatpants, he was stood in the very back of the group.
"Hey! You there!" the bearded one exclaimed looking in John's direction.
JohnWillStab turned to see the three people looking like they ranged from eighteen to twenty-two age-wise.
"Yes?" he asked.
"What's your name?" asked the blond one.
"I'm JohnWillStab...?" John replied uncertainly.
The group of three looked at each other for a while and whispered about something before looking back to JohnWillStab.
"Alright, we need you to go with us," explained the bearded man.
"Go with you? I'm kind of in the middle of something here!" John explained gesturing towards the door.
"Dungeon doors won't open until the dungeon is cleared or everyone inside is dead," explained the black-haired one in the back.
"..." JohnWillStab turned back to the door and began kicking it.
"What are you doing?" asked the man with the long bangs.
"I'm trying to get inside!" John exclaimed.
"You can't do that..." argued the one in the back.
"Watch me!" John yelled as he buried his dagger in the door, when he pulled it out the small cut disappeared.
"Damn..." he sighed seeing his efforts were being wasted.
JohnWillStab looked back to the trio.
"Whatever, if you want to fight me, I'll take you on!" he exclaimed drawing his daggers.
"What?! No! We're trying to get you to -" they were cut off by John shadow stepping behind them, before he even noticed he was already hit with a powerful bolt of water, launching him across the open quarry where the dungeon entrance was.

The bearded one began speaking.
"Listen to us! We're trying to-"
The long-banged one outstretched his hand and pointed it at John.
From behind him a dozen orbs of water appeared, taking the shape of spears before freezing solid.
All at once, he launched them towards John fast enough for some to shatter in the air.
JohnWillStab shadow-stepped behind the man placed him in a chokehold, placing his dagger to the man's throat.
"Aha!" John exclaimed.
The black-hoodied man in the back rolled his eyes.
"Look, we just need you to come with us!" he exclaimed.
"Wait... you're not trying to fight me?" asked John.
"I mean, Ceasar here was, but he's a special case..." explained the bearded man.
"Hey!" the long-banged man exclaimed.
JohnWillStab looked at the man who tried to attack him seconds ago, he looked fairly shocked by how quickly the fight ended.
"So he's called Ceasar..."
The blond-haired man with the beard began their introductions.
"I'm August, tank by class," he explained.
"This is Ceasar, water and fire mage by class,"
"And that's our dagger-class, he's called -" August was cut off by the person introducing themselves.
"I'm Jerry... stabby dude by class..." he said, still standing behind August.
"Alright... well... as nice as it is to find another stabby dude, I have to say your request to "just follow you guys" isn't exactly convincing..." John admitted.
August let out a sigh.
"Bro, we have like... four hours tops!" he exclaimed.
"This is super important!"
John let out a sigh.
"Alright... just tell me why?" he asked.
"We need you to kill XxFoxlyxX!" exclaimed Ceasar.
JohnWillStab's eyes widened as he heard the words.
"Kill, Foxly?"
"Yes, it's important!" Ceasar added.
"You people are insane, leave me alone! I don't care what edgy joke he posted in global, I'm not killing him," John replied.
"The future of this world depends on it!" exclaimed August walking up and grabbing John by the scruff of his shirt.
"Look, I'm glad you people are finding the time to RP in this game, I really am, but I'm trying to level here!"
"That Arthur dude isn't going to kill himself!" John remarked.
A grave look spread on the faces of the trio.
"Arthur?"
"Yeah, do you guys know the guy? He scrambled my brain a while earlier," John explained letting go of Ceasar and kicking him aside.
"JohnWillStab, it is crucial that you defeat XxFoxlyxX" he explained.
"Why would I kill one of my friends? Give me an actual reason!" John replied.
The trio looked at each other for a while.
"We can't really do that..." August replied.
"Why not?"
"I mean... we're kind of... ehh..." he went silent.
"Kind of what?!" demanded John.
Ceasar eventually broke the silence.
"Oh for god's sake! We're here from the future, and we need you to make the future less shit!" exclaimed Ceasar.
"..."
"..."
"..."
"Do I get married?" asked John.
"Ugh... it this really what's important right now?!" demanded August.
"Yes, based on how you answer my questions I may choose to believe you," John replied with his arms folded.
"Fine! Yes, you are! Can't say to who, because that will ABSOLUTELY derail this timeline past the point of recovery!" August exclaimed.
"HAH! Lies! As if I'd get married!" John laughed.
John was met with several awkward stares from everyone.
"You had me there for a second!" he laughed.
"..."
"..."
"Wait, you're fucking serious?!" he asked.
They all nodded.
"Holy shit! Did you bring anything from the future as proof?" he asked.
"I was gonna, but they said we could just convince you..." Jerry replied giving the other two a judgemental look.
"I mean, historically, JohnWillStab was pretty gullible..." August replied.
"True..." Caesar nodded.
"WHAT?! HOW AM I GULLIBLE!?" he demanded.
"Look, first of all, I don't like the way you said "was" and second of all, how would killing Foxly help us?!" John demanded.
"Butterfly effect, dumbass!" Caesar replied flicking his fangs.
"Right now, Foxly is trying to knowingly shift the timeline for what he thinks is the best... however because of a tiny mistake he did, it's actually way worse!" August explained.
"What do you mean?" asked John.
"According to legend, the leader of Kearudown exclaimed, "If I see a piece of frog-man genitalia attached to an icy pillar in this random came, I shall start a war against the rest of the world, lol." allegedly he was a pretty peaceful guy, but he decided that the frog-genitals attached to a pillar were a sign from God, thirtyish years later, we're stuck living in a pretty shit world..." August replied.
"..."
"What? Frog-man genitals?! What the fuck did Foxly do?!"
"That's not important, the point is, if you do not kill XxFoxlyxX within the next four hours, the future is probably doomed."
"..what will happen to Foxly?" asked JohnWillStab.
"Once you kill him, you will all die in under a week," August explained.
"Somone will revert time back to a week earlier and ensure Foxly doesn't get his dick stuck on an ice pillar!" he added.
"I see..." John replied.
"Don't worry, we already have a professional on the job - we've been working with him since before you even got isekaid," he explained.
A long, tense moment of silence passed.
JohnWillStab stood and contemplated the situation.
"Why didn't you say that from the start?! He's not actually going to die!" John exclaimed as he breathed a sigh of relief.
JohnWillStab opened the friend-message menu.
"Hey, Bonifacius, I'm going to kill Foxly to save the timeline or something, I'll see you guys later," he explained before hanging up.
"Alright, lead the way!" John exclaimed.

Divine Creatures
Kestra, a [Combat Alchemist] and [Woods Wraith Hunter], is excited to finally receive her third class. But when she attempts to do so, she instead receives a tribulation from the God of Trials, loses her classes, and is informed by the voice of the world that she's been selected to transmigrate with only three days to go. She tries her damnedest to prepare, but even the Elements are different in this new realm. A relatively staid adjustment period is completely abandoned though as she finds that, most distressingly, hundreds of transmigrators have appeared recently with dozens enslaved by the local city lord. Fine! She may have lost her classes and the magic is funky, but she'll be damned if she doesn't have a few true-blue skills up her sleeves. [synopsis re-write by luda305] A light hearted romp where the protag transmigrator *isn't* from Earth. The main story takes place on more of a western xianxia world. Note: profanity tag is because of side characters, and sexual context tag is for some risqué elements before fade-to-black scene. Book 1 is written and scheduled for release a chapter a day till 9/26 (24 chapters total) Book 2 will be added after it is all written. Updated to add fanfic tag because when I picked up the latest Ten Realms I realized that series has had a lot more influence on the setting than I consciously realized. Don't expect military or industrial revolution in xianxia, though.

A Castle in a Teacup
One might say that to anger forces beyond the ken of fragile breakable mortals is a bad idea, others might say that meddling in dark forces with little chance of gain is also a bad idea, they would both be right by on all counts but they forget to mention also how incredibly stupid combining both of those things are. Stupid people don’t last so long on the mystic side of things, normal folks who wander over to the other side have a tendency to do one of two things, either A. figure out that the best thing to do is keep their head down and not draw attention from any entity that refers to humanity as “you mortals” , or B. something horrifying happens to them. As you may have guessed I fell into the second category, mostly because I thought there was a third option. See I though there must be an option C, an option where I got to end up not as some shitty back ally wizard cowering at the chance of discovery, praying that one of my wards or spells wouldn’t be noticed by something that goes bump in the night. No I would be the one who rose above all that. I would never have to be afraid. Well I made a good attempt at it that’s for damn sure, but unfortunately for me it turns out there is not an option C. At least not for me…
