《Binary Progression》Volume 4 - Chapter 14: Vampire nobles...

"A vampire?!" exclaimed Bonifacius.
"That's right, a vampire of noble blood no less!" she replied smugly before striking a pose with her hands on her hips.
She wore a long, red dress with white frills at the sleeves and bottom.
Aside from that, she wore a white hat with a red veil.
Bromy stood up and placed the pink-haired woman in a chokehold, casually she retaliated by sinking her teeth into his forearm causing a small stream of blood to trickle down.
Her eyes lit up as she tasted the blood of someone who neither lacked any vitamins nor nutrients... at least for medieval-person standards.
Her canines weren't regular teeth, they had small hollow tubes inside with which they sucked blood.
"Mm, your blood is good!" she exclaimed wiping her mouth clean with her sleeve.
"Hey! Don't go biting people around, I don't know who you've been biting until now!" Bromy exclaimed casting a healing spell onto the wound.
She was a little insulted by the comment.
A grin spread across the girl's face as she covered her joyful demeanour with one hand.
"Oh, that's should be the least of your concerns... now you'll become a vampire thrall, forever forced to server under-" she was cut off by the sudden crunch as Bromy chopped off his arm and immediately healed it back to normal, leaving the arm on the ground.
He looked at the arm laying on the ground and bleeding as it rolled over to her side.
"I WAS JUST JOKING!" she cried looking at the armless man.
"How can I be sure?" asked Bromy looking at the arm and watching for any sign of vampirism.
One awkward and tense minute later Bromy breathed a sigh of relief as he kicked the hand inside and cracked his newly acquired knuckles.
"See!?" she demanded pointing to the arm.
"How do I know how long vampirism takes to set in?" asked Bromy giving her a suspicious look.
"I AM A NOBLE VAMPIRE! THE BLESSING OF THE NIGHT IS PASSED ON INSTANTLY AND PAINLESSLY!" she exclaimed.
"Why would I trust you to give me that information..." he asked snatching his scalpel from her hand and placing it in his pocket along with the spare dagger he uses for limb-removal.
"I am literally telling you I'm a noble!" she exclaimed flustered.
"AND A VAMPIRE!" Bromy exclaimed.

Bonifacius stepped in between them.
"Please, friends, calm down!" he pleaded.
"Tsk..." both Bromy and the vampire tsk'd at the same time as they turned away from each other.
"We do still have a dungeon to complete, perhaps we could postpone thy arguing until we complete this challenge?" Bonifacius suggested.
"Whatever..." sighed the vampire.
Bonifacius gave a discrete thumbs up behind his back to the rest of the party who breathed a sigh of relief and left the cover of a nearby pillar.
"Great... now its a group of nine..." sighed John.
They walked through the boss room and out the door.
As soon as they all set foot outside the boss' chamber the door shut behind them and the dark hallway lit up.
Dozens of centipedes covering the walls and crawling over each other in a silky smooth manner.
"I DON'T LIKE THIS!" Alex exclaimed prompting a weird look form everyone including Revenberry.
"Isn't that my line?" she asked, up until now she was the one complaining about just about everything.
"No, centipedes are the one insect I can't stand!" he exclaimed practically shaking in his boots.
"HOW MANY LEGS DOES ONE MONSTER NEED?! WHAT ARE THEY DOING WITH THE OTHER ONES!?"
Alex looked down and saw on moving up to him, he let out a screech before stomping it to death.
"A-Alex... are you alright?" Revenberry asked,
"I know they're gross... but after all we've been through, even I'm alright with this..." she thought.
"This is the worst acting in history..." Thal thought.
"Yeah, but it got her to relax! Now she's focused on comforting me!" Alex thought back.
Alex grabbed Thal and began slicing and dicing his way through the tunnel.
Revenberry looked at him.
"Damn, looks like he's really freaked out by them... I guess I'll pretend to be afraid to so as to no hurt his pride..." she thought.
"Oh!... you're right... so evil!" she exclaimed.
Alex turned around seeing that her acting was terrible.
"You're not actually afraid of them, are you?" asked Alex with a stupid smile.
"Nah... I guess you aren't either?" she asked.
"Yeah, I just wanted to be nice since everyone here is borderline insane when it comes to their perception of fear," Alex laughed.
"Aw, that's sweet!" she exclaimed.
They continued walking through the tunnel whilst chatting and holding hands.

Everyone else looks at them with a look of disgust.
"Fucking lovebirds..." sighed John.
Bonifacius and Bromy just casually walked through the swarm, the centipedes didn't even bite you unless you placed your foot in front of their jaws.
Jordan was sending out waves of fire to incinerate anything before him, moving one step at a time.
"I'm wearing white, I am not getting bug guts on my clothes!" Jordan cried as he slaughtered them by the dozens.
Curstl, unbeknownst to him was hitching a ride on Bonifacius' back... that had nothing to do with the insects thought, Bromy saw this but decided not to say anything.
John and Olivionion shadow-stepped to the end of the tunnel already.
"..." the vampire stood in the corner before the point where the centipedes began.
Bromy looked back and saw her standing there.
"Oh, look at who's afraid of bugs!" Bromy laughed pointing a finger at the vampire that went red with rage.
"Why you...-" she took a step forward before one centipede ran over her shoe causing her to pull the shoe back with the speed of a greek god, only a few kilometres away from breaking the sound barrier.
She moved back to the door and pressed her back against it as she eyed the bugs below.
"Bromy, what are thou doing back there! Hurry!" Bonifacius exclaimed.
"..."
Bromy looked back to the vampire and let out a sigh.
"Damn, I didn't make it out in time before the murder-guilt kicked in..." he thought.
"I'll be there in a second..." Bromy called out reluctantly before stomping back to the vampire who eyed him with suspicion.
"What the hell do you want?!" she demanded.
"If you get separated from the group Bonifacius is going to have to head back here, I guess I have no choice but to carry you..." he sighed.
Bromy picked her up and started making his way through the centipede covered floor.
"I... I don't know what I was expecting... but not this..." she thought while being carried like a sack of potatoes by Bromy.
"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING CARRYING A VAMPIRE OF NOBLE BLOOD LIKE A SACK OF GRAIN YOU IDIOT!?" she demanded thrashing around.
"What the hell do you mean!? This is how you're meant to carry people!" Bromy exclaimed.
"YES, REGULAR PEOPLE! I'M A NOBLE!" she replied.
Bromy let out a sigh.
"If you don't cut it out I'll drop you..." he threatened causing the vampire to tense up.
"Alright then! I guess I can allow you to carry me in whatever manner you see fit, just this once..." she relented looking at the insects below.
"How the hell am I supposed to carry you then?" he asked.
"Carry me like you would a princess!" she exclaimed.
"Are you a princess?" asked Bromy.
"No...B-but that's no excuse to mistreat a noble!" she exclaimed.
"..." Bromy remained silent for a while.
"How would you carry a princess?!" he demanded.
"What do you mean?" she asked.
"What possible circumstance would require you to casually carry a princess?!" he asked.
"I... ehh... I dunno..."
Quickly the vampire shifted her position on Bromy.
"Like this?" she suggested.
Bromy took a long breath before replying.
"No, I doubt a princess would appreciate a piggyback ride..." Bromy replied, he began to wobble because of the change to his weight distribution, this wasn't a kid he was carrying, it was a grown-ass woman.
"There's that type of carrying they do in anime where the protagonist carries a chick and does his best to carry her without grabbing her ass," Bromy suggested prompting at smack to the head.
"Quit your perversions!"
"I'm just trying to figure out how one would carry a princess..." Bromy replied.
"Hmmm... maybe like a bride?" suggested the vampire.
"The prince and king would have you beheaded, isn't nobility all about stupid formalities? They see you doing the wedding thing to a princess and you're dead!" Bromy replied.
"Guess you're right..." agreed the vampire.
"What about... under the arm?" asked Bromy.
"You want to carry a princess like you would a foldable chair?" asked the vampire with raised eyebrows.
They kept brainstorming for a bit more before Bromy realised he wasn't getting any closer to Bonifacius.
"Bony? Are you there?" he called out only to be met with a deep echo.
"What's wrong?" asked the vampire.
"I'm... pretty sure this tunnel wasn't that long in the game..." Bromy replied uncertainly.
