《Binary Progression》Volume 3 - Chapter 48: Smokin'

JohnWillStab, Alex, Jordan and Rootin' stood before the mansion holding Harry's private quarters.
"Are you ready for this?" asked John.
"Naturally," Rootin' replied, his weapons still hidden.
"Jordan, are you sure you can fight?" asked Alex.
"Yeah! I'm good as new again!" he exclaimed with a thumbs up, though he was sweating heavily.
"Don't expect me to save your ass this time!" Thal warned Alex.
"Yeah, yeah, I'll be careful."
Around the mansion was a massive wall, it was several meters tall and constructed from white bricks polished to perfection.
A tall gate made of what looked like gold stood, guarded by two bored-looking guards.
Inside the walls grew lush grass, trees and dozens of ponds, pools and fountains.
The mansion looked like a three-story tall palace, it was a 'C' shape and had a large aquamarine-coloured roof.
"Here we go..." said Rootin' as he marched up to the gates and guards,
One of the guards looked up to him, he had a massive nose and long black hair.
"What do you want? The boss said no visit-"
Both of the guards fell over as their hearts and skulls were pierced by the flurry of stabs performed by Rootin'.
Moments later the gate shattered into bits echoing a loud shattering noise.
"Woah!" Alex said in admiration.
JohnWillStab, Jordan and Alex headed inside.
Immediately a loud alarm rang out as a dozen guards ran out.
"I'll take care of them, you three head inside," advised Rootin' as he slipped his revolver into his hand from his pocket.
"Right!"
As JohnWillStab, Jordan and Alex ran towards the main entrance Rootin began shredding through the armoured men.
From the left charged a man with a mace, swiftly Rootin severed his arm such that it flew out and hit another attacker, meanwhile Rootin' skewered two attackers with a single sideways stab.
From the distance came an arrow, it flew straight for Rootin as he sliced it in half mid-air, the arrow splintering in two and flying past him and performed a headshot on two armoured men.
He noticed the arrows had sharp ends on both sides, that way if they landed they'd make deadly obstacles for advancing forces.
"A two-sided arrow?" thought Rootin' before looking over and seeing a group of archers lining up in the distance.

From the right charged a man with a dagger, Rooting sliced his throat causing him to drop his daggers and clutch his bleeding throat.
Rootin' stepped behind the man and used him as a meatshield to absorb no less than a dozen arrows coming from the distance.
Rootin' grabbed the arrow-filled man by the hand and spun him around to face his attacker, kicking him into the enemy and impaling him on his ally's arrows.
He then shot them three times just to make sure.
Another dozen attackers appeared.
Rootin' looked at his level.
He was level seventy, with level 112 perception and level 51 athletics.
"Let's hope that'll be enough..." he sighed before looking up and seeing a cloud of arrows closing in, two dozen, no three.
Rootin's god-like perception allowed him to essentially view the world in slow-motion at the cost of his stamina.
"Dozen on the left..."
His eyes darted to the right.
"A dozen on the right..."
He looked up at the arrows and aimed at them with his blade.
As soon as they came within slicing-range he activated his slow-motion-vision skill.
While his mind was faster, his body wasn't, so every move felt like trudging through molasses.
"One!" he sliced one arrow in two.
He took aim at the other and with all of his strength went for the hit.
"Two arrows!"
"Thre-" he was cut off when his blade flew through the arrow.
"Wha-?!" his concentration broke, the slow-motion wore off and as his eyes widened he was skewered with ten arrows all over the body.
"An illusion?!" he thought, he looked up to the source of the arrow volley and saw about three people, repeated nine times each to form a force of eighteen.
"Some of the arrows are fakes... but how do I tell which ones are real?" he thought as the archers drew their bows back in perfect unison.
"I wonder how the others are doing..." he thought bracing himself to doge another barrage.
Meanwhile, inside the mansion JohnWillStab, Alex and Jordan ran through the halls, dozens of minions on their tail and dozens of cleaners, maids and other civilians crying for help.
Suddenly they were stopped by a wall of smoke before them.
"Watch out, everyone! I think I sense something weird!" Thal exclaimed.

"Weird how?!" demanded John.
"I think... it's another demon king!" he exclaimed.
JohnWillStab, Alex and Jordan all stood back-to-back, weapons drawn.
On two sides stood walls, on one side stood a wall of mysterious smoke and on the other charged a dozen armoured men.
Suddenly from the mist walked out a skinny, bony man.
He had large, round glasses and a long, bushy beard.
"Yo~" he said showing them the peace sign with one hand.
"It's him! Darby! Demon-king of nature!" exclaimed Thal.
"What's good, man~" the man was covered in gold chains and peace-signs from head to toe.
He wore an unbuttoned shirt displaying a ripply psychedelic pattern.
"The human!?" asked John.
"No, his weapon!" exclaimed Thal.
The man lifted his hand exposing what looked like a regular blunt.
"..." JohnWillStab looked at Thal and back to the man.
"So... he's just a regular stoner?" asked John.
The man took a long, deep drag from his sacred-blunt and blew it at JohnWillStab and his party along with all the armoured men.
Everyone dropped their weapons and looked around.
"I... don't feel like I need to fight anymore..." said John before sitting down.
"Yeah... like... I'm sure we can talk it out!" Jordan replied also sitting down.
Alex looked around, "Damn, I guess we should have considered a peaceful resolution from the start!" he laughed.
Everyone else joined in and laughed.
"Yea, man!~" the glasses-wearing man sat down cross-legged.
"Relax, friends, let's play some cards, man!~" he offered taking out a pack of playing cards.
The flame on the end of the blunt turned a bright blue.
"THAL! YOU TRAITOR! YOU DARE ENTER MY DOMAIN!?" demanded a deep voice from within.
"Chill, blunt-bro~," said the glasses guy.
"DON'T TELL ME TO CHILL YOU WASTE OF SPACE! IT'S YOUR REASON I WAS REDUCED TO THIS FORM!" exclaimed the voice.
"Darby!" Thal exclaimed,
"That's right! The god of nature! The one you left to the mortals to trap in a plant AND NOW FOR THIS RETARD TO ROLL INTO A PIECE OF PAPER AND SLOWLY BURN!" Darby screamed.
"Man, when a plant speaks to me... it speaks to me... man~"
"WHAT THE FUCK DOES THAT MEAN!? I ASKED YOU TO RELEASE ME! NOT BURN ME!" Darby demanded.
"I'm releasing you into the atmosphere, man~"
JohnWillStab and Jordan rolled and crawled over to the smoking man where the began dealing cards.
"No cheating!" John exclaimed.
"Of course, man~"
"Alex! Snap out of it!" Thal exclaimed.
"Nah... why? Let's talk things out..." Alex replied.
"THAT'S RIGHT, THAL! SUFFER!" exclaimed Darby.
"Don't be mean, blunt-bro~"
"DON'T CALL ME THAT, MORTAL!" the flame on the tip of the blunt rose and let out a hateful red light.
"The sword, man, who is it?~," asked the smoking man.
"THAT'S THAL! THE GOD OF DESTRUCTION!" exclaimed Darby.
"Hmm... destruction...~," thought the man out-loud while scratching his beard.
"I think he has to go..." he finally said.
"..."
He stood up and marched up to Alex.
"Hey, bro... this sword is evil, man~" he began.
"Yeah, you're right..." Alex said somberly.
"DON'T LET HIM TRICK YOU, ALEX!" Thal cried.
"Don't worry, mortal, I'll pluck him from your soul safely so you won't die..." Darby said as vines covered the beared man's arm and reached for the sword.
"Wait!" Alex jumped back.
"You won't let me destroy this weapon of destruction, man?~" asked the man.
"THAL MUST HAVE BRAIN-WASHED HIM!" exclaimed Darby.
"Hmm...~"
"Wait, you can't destroy him! Sure he was bad-" Alex was cut off by Darby.
"Was?! He is evil, in the purest form! He exists to destroy! Worst of all he's a traitor to all gods!" Darby exclaimed.
"Calm down, blunt-bro~," said the bearded man reaching into his pocket and pulling out a withered, old wand.
"If you don't work with me, man~,"
"We'll have peace by force, bro~,"
"ALEX!" Thal called out as Alex lifted the blade only for the effects of the smoke to once again kick in, he lowered Thal his face relaxing and a smile spreading over his face before again turning stern and lifting the blade, it was a battle of two Alexes and one was high as a kite.
