《Binary Progression》Volume 3 - Chapter 39: Tentacles again?!

John and his group walked through the mostly desolate streets of the city, the homes and shops left empty except for some random players wandering around.
Two cloaked people walked by John and the group, they were covered in jewellery and trinkets head-to-toe, one had long, pale-blue hair, the other had short silver hair.
"Hey, you there, cat-ears-guy!" called out the silver-haired one.
Alex turned around and saw him standing with his arms crossed.
"Sup?" he asked.
"I know that sword from somewhere, I think it belongs to me," he said, a stupid grin on his face.
"Are you two-timing me, Thal?!"
"No, dumbass, he's trying to trick you into handing me over!"
"Where'd you leave it then?" asked Alex.
The grin on the guy's face disappeared.
"What the hell do you mean? I'm telling you to hand the sword over!" he exclaimed holding his hand out.
"..." Alex looked at him and turned to JohnWillStab.
"What are you waiting for? Hand me my blade!"
Alex covered his mouth as he began to chuckle, JohnWillStab joined in.
"What the hell's so funny!?" demanded the blue-haired man.
"I'm sorry, I know you're not supposed to laugh at the disabled, but you two are really special." Alex laughed.
"Oh yeah?" the blue-haired man drew his blade and pointed it at Alex.
"I'll teach you a lesson, commoner!" he exclaimed.
Alex scratched his head.
"What do you mean by "commoner"? I'm as noble as it gets!" Alex exclaimed drawing Thal.
"You can tell yourself that all you want! If you don't have HaremHarry's official blessing on your title, you're peasants!"
"Alex, don't draw too much attention, damn you!" cursed the sword.
"If I don't deal with this..." JohnWillStab looked around seeing a few people looking out of their windows.

"Tentacle class... I hope you're going to work! I'm trying to be confident!"
He looked the silver-haired man in the eyes.
"What the hell are you looking at?" his speech trailed off as his pupils dilated.
JohnWillStab could see a faint outline of tendrils clinging to the man's skull, though from the lack of a reaction from his party members, he assumed he was the only one who could see them.
JohnWillStab felt his vision blur as a voice began speaking in his head.
"What the hell is this?! Why can't I talk!? Who did this to me!?"
"So loud..." thought JohnWillStab, it wasn't just thoughts, it was as if the person was screaming from inside his skull.
"You did this to me!" the voice exclaimed.
"Now... how can I make him talk?" thought John.
"Hey, on second thought... these look like really decent guys." said the silver-haired man.
"MY BODY! IT'S MOVING ON ITS OWN!" screamed the voice in John's head.
"This was easier in-game..." John sighed.
"Hey, sliver-hair man, could you bring us to your home, we'd like to rest up a bit," John asked.
"Tch! Insolent f-" the blue-haired man was cut off.
"Of course! I'd love for you and your friends to stay over for as long as you'd like..." replied the silver-haired man.
"...Al, are you feeling alright?" asked the blue-haired man.
"Yes, I have finally realised how much of a terrible person I was, I will repent by letting these nice travellers stay in my humble abode."
"Fantastic! Let's go!" John exclaimed.
The group of five started walking.
"What the hell was that about?" Jordan demanded.
"I mind-controlled him," John replied.
"John's back at it again!" Alex laughed.
"I feel like my head's about to explode from it... I hear the man yelling in my mind..."

"A tenecirus..." Thal noted.
"A what?" asked Alex.
"...It's nothing... forget I said anything..."
"Let me out! I don't like this! I really don't like this!"
"Man... this is such a pain..." John sighed.
"I can't feel my limbs... I can't feel anything! I want back into my body!"
"Shut up, would you? You're making my head hurt." John complained.
"It's all black and quiet! I can't take it!"
"Just die already!" he thought feeling the pain in his head stop, he could feel a sharp pain on his palm, he looked and saw the kill-count increase...
"What the...?"
"Did I perma-kill him?" thought John.
"Nah... then again... this is the first time I felt a sharp pain on my hand... usually it's just a tingling..."
"Hey, Alex - you think you could get Thal to check if there's anything weird about the guy with silver hair?" asked John.
"Eh? Sure..."
"Hey, Thal!"
"Alright, alright... let's see..." Thal tried to locate the soul of the silver-haired man.
"It's not there..." Thal said.
"What? But he's still alive!" Alex thought in reply.
"He's like a puppet... an NPC..." Thal replied.
Alex moved over to JohnWillStab.
"He's soulless," Alex explained.
"Hey! Fallen-brat!" Thal called out from Alex's scabbard.
"What is it?" John asked.
"Don't mess with the tenecirus class! It's one of the things that was meant to get wiped from your character before you get isekaid!" he warned.
"For once, I think I agree with you... I've had my edgy evil arc, I can't go around deleting souls left and right..." John sighed.
"If I didn't tell the voice in my head to die... I would have been alright... right?" John sighed.
"The cost of tenecirus abilities isn't mana or stamina, it's your very sanity!" Thal threatened.
"So all I have to do is go to a psychologist and my op magic is fine?" asked John.
"Don't you feel different already? Imagine multiplying it any more!" Thal exclaimed.
"Your psyche should regenerate enough in twenty-four hours to deal with the damage from one spell... but any more and your risk going permanently insane," Thal warned.
"Relax... I'll... I'll hold off on the tenecirus class until I know more." John relented.
"We're here!" exclaimed the silver-haired man.
They stood outside a fancy home, it had two stories and a pool, a large door stood attended by two armed servants.
"Let's go! I'll make us some tea!" exclaimed the silver-haired man.
"W-wait! You're not seriously going to let them into your house, are you!? They're commoners!" exclaimed the blue-haired man.
The blue-haired man turned toward the party, the aggression visible on his face.
He suddenly fell limply as the silver-haired man performed a karate chop to his neck.
"Stop that! I will not have you insult my guests!" he exclaimed.
Alex and Jordan turned to JohnWillStab who shrugged in confusion.
Thal looked at John's souls and the tendrils wrapping around it were slowly shrinking.
"He's not casting any spells..." Thal said.
He looked back to the blue-haired man
"What the...?!"
"What is it?" Alex asked.
"The man... there's a soul in him now... but it's not the original..." he exclaimed.
"Now then... let's go inside and have a nice chat!" said the silver-haired man, holding the door open for the rest of the party.
