《Binary Progression》Volume 2 - Chapter 5: Kniff and the book

A week after JohnWillStab left to train with Kwispii...
"Farmer Kevin: Are you guys really sure about this?" asked the NPC, he was wearing unusually fancy armour and was sitting at a desk in the guild building, a worried look on his face.
"XxFoxlyxX: Absolutely! I mean, the guy who dragged you here just kinda' noped out of here, so it's up to you to govern yourself!" he announced, both Bromy and Bonifacius nodded in agreement.
"Farmer Kevin: But... I don't know what to do!"
"Bromy: I mean, I'm not interested in running a city, so ya' know."
Bromy patted the farmer on his shoulder before turning to leave.
"Farmer Kevin: Well... what do I need to do first!?"
"Bonifacius: Tis your job as the mayor to figure that out!"
"XxFoxlyxX: Well... I do think he needs an advisor..." he sighed as he looked around seeing both Bromy and Bonifacius shake their heads.
"XxFoxlyxX: Oh well, guess it can't be helped!" he announced before leaving the building and returning with a random NPC called "Child".
"Child: Hello!"
"Farmer Kevin: THIS IS AN NPC LIKE ME, HOW ARE THEY ANY BETTER AT THIS JOB THAN ME!"
"Bromy: Yeah, glad to see you're settling in, bye." He replied as he grabbed the other two and headed outside.
"XxFoxlyxX: Thank God I'm done with this..."
"Bonifacius: Indeed! Tis a great weight off my chest!"
"Bromy: Yeah, now that we cleaned the corpse's mess up, we can finally relax..." Bromy said while stretching.
The town has developed quite nicely, in only a few days the population grew to more than a hundred NPCs, they started building homes and walls making the guild base into a small town.
"XxFoxlyxX: Yeah, I'd say this is as good a solution as there is!"

"Bromy: Yeah, making the NPCs self-sufficient would be the best option."
"Bonifacius: Indeed! I wonder if this is what JohnWillStab had in mind before leaving."
"Bromy: Actually, I doubt it." he replied before sending the party a link to a MeinTube channel.
"XxFoxlyxX: "JohnWillNotStab?""
"Bromy: I remember thinking he was a little too good at public speaking for a random computer nerd, so I looked his name up and this appeared."
The two entered a nearby inn run by a harpy NPC.
"Murderous Cliff Harpy: What's up, guys?"
"Bonifacius: Greeting! We are here in search of alcohol!"
The harpy rolled her eyes.
"Murderous Cliff Harpy: Would you speak normally!?"
"Bonifacius: My apologies, I am merely roleplaying!"
"Murderous Cliff Harpy: That's not roleplaying!
"XxFoxlyxX: How would you know that?"
The NPC turned towards XxFoxlyxX and shrugged.
"Murderous Cliff Harpy: I get a lot of travelling customers, they fill me in on that kind of stuff," she replied before producing three pints of ale and trading one to each player for three copper.
The three sat down at a nearby bench.
"Bonifacius: Returning to the subject, would you say that JohnWillNotStab has anything to do with JohnWillStab?"
"Bromy: I don't know for sure... but a certain frog-man hacker could track down the IP and see if that's him..." he pointed out, he was referring to ♕.
"Bonifacius: You cannot actually be serious!!!"
"XxFoxlyxX: No, no, Bromy has a point."
"Bromy: I know, right?"
"Bonifacius: HE DOES NOT!"
"Murderous Cliff Harpy: If you're looking for the frog-woman, I remember she was asking around about the "game-dev library" the harpy chimed in from across the inn."
"Bonifacius: I see, but is that no but a myth?"

"XxFoxlyxX: Yeah, didn't a group of hackers check the code for the game and say it doesn't exist?"
"Bromy: I mean... considering everything that happened..."
Quickly the harpy flapped her wings and made her way to the group of three.
"Murderous Cliff Harpy: It's real! A customer told me that he was robbed by an NPC who had the info on where the library was, but when he went to go find him later with propper equipment, he was gone!" stated the harpy in a hushed voice.
"Bonifacius: Perhaps she went off to discover more information about the NPCs? The library is said to carry all the information about the game!"
Bromy butted in with his own theory,
"Bromy: That or she finally decided to take the game down by destroying some important piece of code."
From across the room walked up a Demon, a player.
"Kniff: She's in for the info about the game, she left already. She'll be at the JGuardian's base ruins in thirty minutes," she explained.
Her skin was pitch black, her eyes were glowing yellow except for the pupils which were a collection of black con-centric rings.
Two curved horns on her head and an overall round face for a demon.
She was wearing what looked like a typical rogue outfit, complete with a black cloak and leather booths.
"XxFoxlyxX: How'd you know?"
Kniff played the /air glasses emote,
"Kniff: I can't tell you - but rest assured, I am not lying to you." with that, the demon walked out, a book at her hip.
She grabbed the relatively thin book, its cover read "Vol. 2 Script."
"Let's see... Bony, Bromy, Foxly and Crown meet up at the JGuardian base! I changed the script successfully!" she thought as her character played the /cheer emote.
"Kniff: Finally! I, a background character can do something awesome!"
With that, the player retreated into a newly constructed alleyway spamming the /laugh emote.

Our Chaoz; Our Reality (Completed)
Everyone has their own reasons, be it past events, personality or simply company. But most at some point divulge themselves into videogaming, be it for entertainment or more compettitive reasons. In this year and age there are many genres of gaming, one specific genre though still holds on tight to the ledge it was pushed to trying to pull itself back up. MMORPGs were once the top of everybody's list, adventure, combat, storytelling and endless grind in one single game. It was a different life for most, as if a parallel world to our own. You could be a knight indulging yourself in combat, a mage expertly crafting spells of mass destruction or creation. A ranger exploring the land and hunting down prey, an assassin completing contracts and hording the spoils. A troll scamming children out of their hard earned 10 gold and making more hardcore players rage quit for the day. Or something else. Kyle was a simple player, he always picked the strangest classes or jobs and his characters almost looked the same. He played for the combat, he played for the grind and he played for his guild but above all he played for the story. Kyle is a roleplayer, one who enjoys the simple parts of this virtual life. Whether his guild was starting a war or ending one he'd always have his drammatic entrence or exit, his decleration of annihalition or demand of surrender. After all that? He divulged himself in the game's story, the interaction with NPCS (Non Player Characters) and their advanced AI. He went through many questlines, many tales of heroics and many more adventurers of legend but one thing always remained true with his character. Kyle absolutely loved to the play the villain. But when game turns reality, what will he and his guild of twisted personalities do?
