《Binary Progression》Volume 1 - Chapter 24 (Part 3): CHAIRS

In a flash, they both cast different GM abilities, Alex blinded Lorb with the blindness debuff.
Seeing his chance to attack, Alex charged towards him with an admin-only insta-kill sword.
Seconds before impact Lorb counter-attacked, he set Alex's drunk-level to "999" causing his screen to distort too much to be readable.
He fell to the ground as Lorb got on top of him and cast the light-beam attack at him, digging a hole in the ground and severely decreasing the FPS in the zone.
"{Alex: I'm going to have to fix that you bastard!}"
"{Lorb: That should be the least of your concerns!}"
Lorb cast another beam of light his way, slicing the terrain more and more, with each attack the land got deformed and the polygon-count went up further increasing the lag.
"{Alex: Are you so determined to ruin my game!?}"
"{Lorb: Bold of you, asking me that!}" Lorb laughed enabling Admin flight as a dozen more anti-cheat knights spawned below, they all teleported up to him only to fall down and die of fall damage, producing three knights in place of the one who died.
The two flew up higher and higher, the city below slowly fading from view.
"What's he planning?!" thought Alex.
"{Lorb: I can tell you're not a coder!}"
"{Alex: How so?!}"
"{Lorb: You thought setting all existing admin-account permission levels to one would make them regular players!}"
"{Alex: Clearly I was wrong!}" Alex complained firing an auto-aiming bolt of fire Lorb's way, it lit up the clouds they just burst through as the spell erupted doing no damage to the god-mode Lorb.
"{Lorb: In code, zero is the lowest number, in other words, you reduced me to a moderator...}"
"{Alex: So that's why we can't ban each other... I'm stuck with a moderator account too!}"

Lorb spawned a massive sphere of fire in the sky, it wasn't a spell as much as a collection of manually-spawned projectiles.
The game, as advanced as it was, could barely handle the number of particles.
Below the clouds, in the city, the players could see a massive orb of flames light up the silhouette of Alex and Lorb.
The ball exploded creating a shockwave that destroyed most of the city, windows shattered, trees burned and roof tiles were blown off.
Fire rained down like hellish snow as Bonifacius stood up, he stood in the doorway of a house to block the wave of flames that charred the rest of the town.
"{Bonenificus: This armour truly is amazing!}" he exclaimed looking back to see the other players standing in awe of the spells they just saw.
Above the clouds the battle continued, Lorb fired a bolt of light at Alex who fired back with a bolt of lighting.
As the battle continued Alex saw Lorb charge at him, he summoned a table into his hand and fired it at Alex who side-stepped it effortlessly.
"{Alex: Getting desperate I see...?}"
"{Lorb: I'm a creative thinker,}" Lorb shrugged as he looked up, Alex followed his gaze as a dozen tables flew down at him from above.
Effortlessly he aimbotted them with his weapon, slicing through each one, reducing them to broken wood particles.
"{Alex: You call that creative?}" he taunted.
Suddenly an explosion rang out as Alex pierced a massive crate of explosives with his blade without even noticing.
He flew backwards, the sword flying out of his hand.
"{Lorb: Like I said... creative thinker!}"
Lorb summoned a massive, blue, spherical shield around Alex,
"{Lorb: This is the rogue-shield, a broken spell not even mods like you see in their spell registry...}"
"{Lorb: Of course, that's not its real name!}"

"{Lorb: You cannot break this shield, you cannot teleport out, you're stuck there forever!}" he exclaimed with a hint of smugness.
"{Alex: ...a secret spell?!}"
"{Lorb: It does have one... slight weakness...}"
"{Lorb: you can right-click it to open it...}"
"{Alex: ...}"
"{Alex: I'm not doing it...}"
"{Lorb: So you accept your faith? Great!}"
"{Alex: ...}"
Lorb began casting an even bigger beam of light, he fired it down onto the city, cutting into the land once more, reducing more of the building to nothingness.
"{Alex: Stop it!}"
"{Lorb: As tempting as that suggestion is...}"
He fired another few beams of light all over the city, he destroyed the massive cathedral in the centre.
The mages tower was reduced to loose bricks.
Finally, he fired at a smaller district in the city, it was filled with ordinary looking houses and a few restaurants.
Alex took the bait and clicked on the shield only for his character to begin t-posing.
"{Alex: What the hell?!}"
"{Lorb: you took that bait...}"
Lorb removed the disguise from the "shield" revealing it to be an ordinary chair.
"{Alex: A chair!?}"
He tried to get off but nothing worked.
"{Lorb: It's funny, the way the chairs in my game are coded, you have to specify what animation the player will use when sitting and getting up, though, I bet you saw those numbers and just removed them!}"
He played the /laugh animation.
Alex began typing the command to remove any object around him, if the chair was gone he'd be able to move.
Suddenly his GUI began to flash, every time he opened his chat to type in the command it closed and re-opened.
"{Lorb: It's no use, I wrote a macro to "/refresh GUI A241777"}"
That was Alex's user ID.
Lorb disabled his flight as the t-posing Alex who was still attached to the chair flew down from above.
Alex looked down and saw the massive fire below him as a grin spread across his face in real life.
"Too bad, you almost had me!"
"I've enabled the dynamic object burning, something you turned off in your game for most items..."
"In other words, the chair will just burn and I'll be free!" Alex thought.
He kept smashing his god-mode macro as he drew near the ground, his GUI still flashing as it kept being refreshed by Lorb.
As they drew near the ground Alex wished he could type something in the constantly flashing chat, something along the lines of "Aha! I got you!" or "Not so smart now, are you?!"
To his surprise, he was greeted with something else.
As blood flew out from Alex and his health slowly began to drain before he activated god-mode, he noticed he wasn't burning.
"{Lorb: Didn't you find all the fire below us odd?}" he laughed.
Alex looked at his status bar "You will be banned in... 9"
"8..."
"7..."
Lorb undid the disguise command he cast on the anti-cheat knights as Alex realised that he didn't fall onto a fire but the player-banning weapon of the anti-cheat knights.
Lorb flew back up as Alex raced to type in his command.
"6..."
"5..."
"/clera" he fixed his typo in a split second.
"/clear "
"4..."
"3..."
"/clear buff"
"2..."
"/clear buff ban"
"1..."
"/clear buff ban self"
He smashed enter.
The last thing Alex saw before he was met with his desktop wallpaper and a message reading "You have been banned!" was a message from Lorb.
"{Lorb: Remember the ban effect is a debuff, not a buff :)}"
