Excelsia is a prosperous nation. Due to the diligence of our Royal lineage, headed by Queen Anastasia the Wise, Excelsia has maintained a higher standard of living for every Excelsian than the neighboring nations of Putania and Dos Equinoxis. The primary reason for this is the ingenuity of the Queen’s Father, the Blessed King Harald the Honorable; May His Highness continue to slay Calamities even in death.

At the dawn of the Second Year of his Blessed Reign, King Harald instituted Summoning Centers and nationalized the creation, research and distribution of all Summoning magicks. In addition to this, His Highness used his own Spark to usher in the foundation of the era of the Summoned. King Harald’s magical prowess is truly unfathomable, for none have been able to replicate the feat that allows a near unlimited amount of magical energy to flow into Summoning Centers and allows for Summoned to be rescued from their worlds and brought into the magnificence of Excelsia.

The Excelsian Economy now rests on the shoulders of Queen Anastasia, who has expanded upon her Father’s work. Though King Harald was a man of vision, Queen Anastasia is a Lady of Divine Execution, and has smoothened out the process by which Summoning is accomplished in Excelsia. Summoning Centers are no longer nationalized, but instead pay tribute to the Queen’s Treasury in return for their continued existence.

Additionally, Queen Anastasia has increased protections for the Summoned. By ensuring that they are bound to an Excelsian, Queen Anastasia ensures that Summoned may not roam free and therefore are not lost. By ensuring that Summoned are disallowed from doing dangerous work such as Spark Research, governmental work, or indeed, taking up stressful leadership positions in any enterprise, Queen Anastasia displays her generosity and kindness even for those who are not citizens of Excelsia.

The currency of Excelsia is as follows. We have decided to simply equate the currency to the approximate amount of bread each unit could buy. This information is accurate as of Year 32 of the Wise.

Money may be changed at any Treasury Agency in Excelsia for a small percentage fee of the overall transaction. Each additional exchange step requires a 3% Cut. For example, exchanging Shackles into Crowns will incur a 6% fee.

Be warned: It is not possible to forge the currency. Stringent security measures are applied to all currency by the Queen’s Treasury. Attempting to forge currency, use forged currency, or otherwise attempting to circumvent the security and sanctity of the Queen’s currency will result in the strictest punishment that the Royal Tribunal can hand down.
