Void's Point of View:

Papa seemed very excited as he got ready for bed, he kept muttering something about horns.....Eh, well, Papa often talks about strange things that I can't understand, so it probably isn't related to me.

I could feel the change starting to bubble up within me, as soon as I fell asleep, my form would change once again....but how should I change it?

That big kitty was what inspired my growth, it's fur looked really soft and fluffy, especially it's tail.....but I like my scales.......I know! I'll just have a small strip be fur!.......But that would look weird on Papa.....Eh, then I'll just make his transformation different, I hope he likes it~

With my decision made, I drifted to sleep on Papa's comfy bed.....

Felix's Point of View:

The moment I felt my consciousness drift awake, I shot up and began to feel around my head.

.......N....No horns......

I reached over and felt Void's body.

......Fur was running along his spine, starting from the top of his head to the tip of his tail.......

Curse my artistic sense! I shouldn't have added That Darn CAT!

A dreadful thought occurred in my mind and my hands shot to my back, feeling along my back.

Phew~ NO fur on my back....

My hands drifted lower and they encountered something soft that twitched at their touch.....

A TAIL, SERIOUSLY!!!???

Where are my horns, Uuuuuuuuu.

My long tail lifted up and gently stroked my face, as though trying to comfort me.......wow, it's really soft.......

NO! Who cares how soft it is, why didn't that stupid lizard give me horns!?

I shook Void awake.

-P-Papa?-

"Why didn't you give me horns......"

-Eh? Papa wanted horns?-

"......."

-If that really was what Papa wanted, Void will make sure you get horns next time........-

"......No, a fluffy tail and horns don't go together........I better just use the cards given to me......"

-Ah, well, if it makes Papa feel better, you should be growing cat ears as well soon, those go on the head like horns, right-

I thumped my head against the headboard.

".....Arvid?"

"Your tail is white with a gold tip."

How excellent, he predicted my question.

Let's, will my tail change color and shape like my wings?

I focused on an image and opened my mouth to ask.

"No, it hasn't changed color or shape...."

Dang, he's on a roll today.

"Haaa, what is the use of it then"

My tail suddenly hit me on the head and then drifted in front of my face.

"Um, it's just sprouted very sharp and large spikes on the tip Boss.....Ah, watch out!"

I barley caught the tail below it's spikes before it hit me in the face.

-Ummm, I pretty sure Papa's tail wasn't supposed to end up like that......-

So this was another one of Fate's 'interesting additions', my tail had a mind of it's own and could sprout spikes........That might be interesting.....But I can't have it attacking me!

"Um, I'm sorry for calling you useless?"

One should always be polite to allies, especially if they are attached to you.

I felt the spikes retract and I released the tail cautiously. It rubbed against my face affectionately, then settled down across my legs.

I stroked it absentmindedly as I thought over my past few days. Playing with the seniors had been fun.....but now that I had beat up that fat ox, it would likely get boring again since they would be wary of messing with me......

"Hey, Arvid, do you think those two new toys will be waking up any time soon?"

"Hrmmm, I don't think so Boss, I've also been looking through the school's libraries in hope of finding things to help Boss with his Berserker Body, but so far, all I've found is that it usually takes a very long time for an Awakening to fully develop the Berserker Body. I think it took you such a short time because it is the blood from your original body and more easily excepted you."

"Ah, but.....The principal is still locked up in the dungeon Boss......"

The history teacher stormed out, slamming the door behind him.

Inside the office, the principal's body suddenly slumped in his chair and a strange voice could be heard.

"Phew, I hope Boss will be happy to hear this story when he returns...."

Outside of the castle, the rat man suddenly stopped, his enraged appearance melting away into icy coolness. He pulled a black stone out of his pocket and infused it with mana, causing it to glow red. He raised it to his lips and began to speak.

"Master, it seems that the teachers of Dagda have escaped the binding you placed on them, and have also managed to somehow take control of Barack Halifax as well...."

A very long distance away, an identical stone began to glow in a hidden cave and the rat man's voice echoed out into the cave. The black robed man snapped out of his meditation in surprise and murmured quietly to himself.

"They actually managed to free themselves? No......There was no one with a level of ability to do that, I checked......They must have gotten outside help! The breaking must have been when I felt that strange apprehension a while ago......I'm so close to reaching Void level, but if this matter gets out, the high rank schools will make things troublesome for me......"

The mysterious man grabbed the glowing stone and held it up to his face.

"I'll head over immediately, it should only take me a week or so,have a place ready for me to stay when I arrive."

"I shall do as you instruct, master."

Felix's Point of View:

I was running happily down the road to the bandits, when the slight pressure I had been feeling from my fighter sense suddenly increased sharply.

"What! Suddenly I feel like that strong guy is coming a lot sooner! Tch, what could have made him change his mind.....This means I won't have enough time to reach a level where I can fight him equally......"

I slowed my pace to a steady walk as I considered my problem.

Hmmmm, if I can't use strength, than trickery will have to be the way to go....Yeah, this new development could be interesting~

My mind set, I picked up the paced once again, I'll play with the bandits for a bit, then return to school to plan and prepare!

I reveled at the speed of my new body, my wings tucked tightly against my body to avoid any air resistance.....

Wait........I haven't tried to fly yet!

I let my wings spread out, they immediately caught the wind created from my running and lifted me into the air.

Flapping them several times, I was soon soaring through the air!

Kekekeke, flying is as awesome as ever~

Void left his usual perch on my shoulder and glided happily next to me.

My heightened senses could easily find the best air currents, and I was soon hovering over the forest where the bandits had run out of in our first encounter.

Focusing on my hearing, I soon located the noisy camp near the center of the small forest.

Hehehe, time to go play~

I tucked my wings in and dived down to the camp, flapping them only once to easy my fall as I landed in the center of the busy camp of bandits.

"Hey guys, I've come to play again~"

The bandits charged.

"Ha, we'll beat you this time kid!"

Truly, they were idiots that didn't back down from a challenge.....wonderful~

About fifteen minutes later, the unconscious bodies of the bandits were strewn about the camp, I sat happily on a pile of bodies I had placed there just for that purpose. The bandit leader lay collapsed in front of me, conscious, but unable to move.

"Very good, I see you all have been training diligently~ "

I tossed two memory crystals at the leader, they thumped onto the ground beside his face. The bandit leader smiled weakly.

"For too long people have looked down on bandits as weak existences, with young master's training methods, we hope to prove to everyone what it is to have pride as a bandit, it's only natural that we work hard!"

"Heh, your goal sounds interesting, if I have time later, I'll come visit and help you train~"

"I'm sure with your direct guidance, we could gain strength even more quickly, you are welcome at any time! "

"A wonderful response~"

I tossed another crystal at him and rose to leave.

Suddenly, I felt a weak warmth emanate from the farthest edge of the forest, calling me.

Eh? How strange.......I turned to go towards it.

"Ah, young master, don't go in that direction! Nothing living can enter that area of the forest because of the Demon sword that is there!"

Oho, a Demon sword, is it? How interesting.....

I began running quickly through the forest, straight towards the so-called 'Demon sword', I will most definitely not avoid such an amusing thing!

I darted through the trees, and soon came to an area where the trees were dead, their branches bare of leaves and their cores rotting.

Slowing down slightly, I sent my senses out, checking for danger.

Hmmmm, there really isn't any life here.......but that presence I felt didn't feel demonic....

More and more bones of dead animals were piled up along the ground as I moved closer to the source of the warmth that had called to me.

My journey finally ended when I came upon an open clearing free of bones, with the sword stuck in the very center.

As soon as I stepped into the clearing, I became aware of a weak force that was directed at my soul.

Hrmmm, a protective spell.....well, I suppose most ordinary or animal souls would be unable to resist this kind of attack, it's range is probably as far as the dead trees, but to me this level of force was nothing so I didn't notice it until now...

Void fluttered onto my shoulder.

-Yuck! This feels weird Papa! Let's leave soon!-

Hrmmm, I had forgot about Void.....So his soul was strong enough to resist the force as well? Tch, it's probably another thing the stupid parasite gained from our bond.....

I moved towards the sword I could feel stuck in the ground, each step causing a noticeable increase in pressure. By the time I reached the sword, the pressure was actually at a level that made me feel a slight discomfort. Who ever had laid this spell Really hadn't wanted anyone to reach the sword......

I placed my hand on the pommel of the sword and the pressure vanished, the spell dispersed.

The sword hummed at my touch, then melted and wrapped around me hand until it formed a warm metal finger less glove.

A cheerful feminine voice echoed in my mind.

-Puahaha, after so many hundreds of years, I've finally been freed! Greetings new master, I am Mist, the Sword of Illusion and Space! Back in the day, I was the most hated sword in all the land due to some of the pranks I pulled, hahahaha, now that I've recognized you as my master, you definitely won't be able to escape~-

I grinned at her introduction.

"No need for escaping, I have a feeling we'll get along just fine Mist~~"
