Lurk looked over the four avatars in his advanced menu as they began to settle into the selection mode for skills and abilities. He had talked with the girls briefly about their names and out of nostalgia or simply just tradition Lurk and the girls mostly decided for the names to follow the four letters, so far. Save for Resti who wanted a special name. Sala had been discouraged from the names "Destroyer, WorldEater, Crasher, Smasher", Lurk managed this by saying a name without an accomplishment would not be as good. Sylvie thought of four names from her tribe she liked as well. As they needed to put in the names for either gender.

Starting with Sylvie's Lurk moved the two avatars in front of him and their magic circles expanded out showing all the options to be picked for each of them. He noticed that they already had a special option waiting to be filled out. He looked over Sylvies menu first, opening the important options to view.

Lurk needed to think about the elite traits, as they would be carried onto the next generations and seemed to be important to create stronger evolutions. But one option he saw that made him grin was the [Beastkin-Feline body add-ons] He tried to flip it to active, and the avatars gained cat ears and tails, and a lot more hair on their head and ankles.

Beastkin body also seemed to have an increased chance of the gender being female, the Beastkin must have more females than males. Lurk could only picture such a wonderful society. The dream of many a nerd out there. He would definitely examine this dream society one day!

But before he could come down to the elite traits, he saw a flashing option on a new tab.

[Soul Twin Link], it was possible to learn as an elite skill? but Sylvie had it already? but it said it was no longer active.

Lurk had a hunch what had happened now to Sylvie's mana, he expanded the [Soul Twin Link]...

Lurk could suddenly feel his mana pool gain some extra mana as his and Sylvies pool was linked together, along with the current ability he had learned [Soul Resonance] his mana now recharged extremely fast. Sylvie would also now have access to this massive mana pool, Lurk wondered how she would feel about it. He thought she deserved it since she had been suffering for so long without the ability to properly use her Holy magic, never learning advanced spells. Now she would be as strong as him with holy magic.

Right now though she was sleeping along with Resti and Sala and himself. After the naming debate, they couldn't help but notice his soldier that he had with pure willpower kept at bay from assaulting them. So after one more group round, they all fell asleep except for Sala who went out to brag and show Lula around. Lurk deciding to sleep and go into the advanced menu to set up the new kids and their abilities. Whilst also overviewing his own.

He opened up the two twins. setting their names for each gender the system would then use the name that was selected with the correct gender. Lurk looked over the Avatars in both their genders how they looked, Goblins with cat ears and tails... He had to say they looked way too cute. Who in their right mind would call this barbarous evil goblins? They also seemed slightly taller and more slender, the back of their bodies had darker coloration stripes on their skin just like Sylvie. Lurk had examined those stripes while having good fun with Sylvie and found the patters just like a tiger running down her back extremely nice looking. He could modify the gender selections process again, deciding that for the betterment of the world this demanded to be catgirl goblins. so he maxed out the female % chance as much as possible.

He put the rest of the elite powers aside for now since he now had a lot of FTB to spend he wanted to examine the rest of the kids before buying any more. He kept the 5 FTB for now before activating the two twins and locking them down.

He turned his attention to Restis baby, the other two avatars, now with a lot more complex runes and magic circles swirling around them. A glowing soul link rune between them showing that they also had the same link due to Lurks manipulations - despite the link being rare and required mana called abjuration mana type - which he was not sure what meant exactly, but clearly they had the soul link already. Maybe the menu was abjuration? He had no way to find out for now.

Restis Avatar came up along with her baby's avatar as they both unfolded showing their runes and magic circles.

Once more Lurk saw an elven temple, now he had both High, Dark and now wood elf. He wondered how many there were, he had discusses with Resti getting a proper History lesson from her as he needed to know a bit more about the world at large. He had only learned about the viewpoint of the goblins and some small bit of information about the Great Kingdom and the current situation with the nearby town being destroyed by goblins.

Her kid would have a good chance at Strong Fire magic. He thought about spending some FTB points to make sure it would learn the same level of magic. It would cost two FTB though. But he noticed something about Restis Elites. She had a nonracial Elite trait.

("... That's stupidly OP... How hard must it have been to stop a volcano? So magic is capable to do things on that scale? Wait... If I could get this ability... Then the kid would most likely also get it. No, wait it is only one spirit at the time?... So if I activated it in Resti... She would get it... But... What would happen to me...")

Lurk tried to check it active, luckily nothing was permanent until he accepted the choices. But spirit seemed to stick to Resti. But he could see a list of people that could inherit it, where he was the second one on the list after the kid. But it kept skipping back and forth between first and second. So clearly something was messing up how the Spirit was supposed to skip to the next person upon the bearers death.

Delving deeper into the runes he could see the Spirit would be connected specifically to the soul of the bearer, and it would not allow transferring like the other abilities he would learn. There was clearly only "one" spirit so it would not suddenly double because he learned it from her. He would just become an inheritor of it.

Taking it off Resti and then checking the Elemental spirit list once more it had several people lined up to inherit it... So the archmages family still exists... But none of them had managed to inherit it... He could only picture that the family would lose their minds if they found out the spirit had actually picked someone else. From the list of the names, they were clearly nobility. But Resti had lived in a quiet village with her mother... And a half breed between a Wood-elf... It did not take much imagination to see that Resti's mother had been exiled or perhaps even worse fled. So if the family knew her kid suddenly inherited the spirit...

Lurk suddenly had a flash of inspiration. He examined the spirit if it was attached to Resti's soul once more. He then did a simulation of his soul doing a soul link with hers. The fire spirit's benefits would carry over!!...

("... I think I can do this if I am a bit clever about the sequence... This is so weird to do... but the benefits are too good to not do this...")

Lurk quickly looked over Sala's kid and saw that all the old benefits he picked for Lula were already in place since the upgrades he did to Sala would give the new kid the same chances of abilities. Plus the more interesting ones of Sala's upgrades were extremely expensive... He would have to do that Ogre Magi curse unlock...

After making sure that what he wanted to work actually was possible... He activated Sylvie's kids and locked them down. He inherited all the abilities he had purchased for her. Including the soul link.

He then purchased [Soul Twin Link] for Resti, and then unlocked the [Fire Elemental Spirit] on her. Her Avatar suddenly had an intense Flame rune hovering around. Her magic circles increasing in seriously complicated runes and potent pulses from the Spirit rune. The rune itself was imposing and large. Lurk tried to examine the rune system built around the spirit rune, but felt it was way beyond anything he had ever seen or done.

Plus when he was looking he felt this nagging feeling that something was looking back at him. The spirit must be aware, the runes keeping it in check as he could see the runes absorbing and directing the energy from the main core of the rune. He attempted to activate his Soul Twin link with Resti. His mana expanding even more, and he could feel the connection to the fire spirit was indeed there. But it did not convey its ability over. It required an active choice from the current user to give up the spirit.

Lurk thought that the soul link itself to Resti was worth it. Giving access to her mana and other potential benefits it would give. The fire spirit itself was a boon that Resti could give him if she wanted too. He checked how the soul links worked, but they were only between himself and the girls. They themselves were not connected. Though they both shared his mana pool. Any effects he would have would split out to them, while if they had any effects they would only traverse over to him, strangely enough without carrying over. Checking the runes there clearly was something odd going on with the connection issue. But it was way too advanced for him to understand at the moment.

("I hope it does not accidentally create the great Goblin hivemind in the future because of this link") Lurk thought to himself as he sealed down Restis kid too and locked it down.

Lurk said to himself as he looked at the three avatars in front of him as the runes and magic circles sped up upon activating their connections to him strengthening and their bodies begin to form properly within the girls. The avatar closing down to become symbol runes instead they fly over to his own avatar spinning around his, alongside Lula's rune. His own magic circle enveloping them and connecting them to himself. Lurk focused and returned the real world awakening in the arms of Sylvie and feeling Resti lying next to him.

He sat up, looking over at Resti, he opened his eyes wide. Her hair had begun to glow a fiery red and was gently shifting in fire colors. He suddenly remembered something horrible...

("I sure hope that she will stop lobbing fireballs at me... I do not think she will get away with tiny scorches on me anymore if she actually hits me... What have I done")

Lurk feared for his future life as he began to ponder of ways to calm Restis quick instincts to lob friendly fireballs at him. When somewhere entirely else.

In a great mansion inside the capital city of the kingdom of Fire Mountains. An old man with a long white beard, countless wrinkles, and stern looking eyes. His white hair was wild and unkempt. He was studying a Staff he was working on with a magic tool in his hand. Runes expanding in front of him which he altered before he sealed them onto the magic staff in front of him. The rune itself searing into the staff creating a permanent mark on the exquisite golden ring on the top that was supporting a red crystal that was glowing brightly red.

The room was messy and filled with books and many odd devices that look super fragile and their purpose was beyond obscure. Many portraits on the walls showing each an individual person whose hair was like a flame and their demeanor was of high nobility and imposing power behind their glowing red eyes.

In the back of the room was a device much larger than all the others, this one was like a clock, slowly ticking away. In the center of the device was a large red crystal. The device suddenly clicked in new gears and runes began to light up all along the device until it reached the center crystal that lit up brightly, glowing a furious red. The room was suddenly bathed in the light from the crystal. The man stopped working on the staff from shock, he actually managed to fail the rune cutting a ugly line on the staff.

He quickly turned around his eyes turning red from the light in the room.

"...Finally!!! Our family will become great again!!!" A massive grin appearing on his face as the machine ticked on in the room. The crystal pulsing, deep within the crystal was the face of Resti looking back.
