I had a strange dream, In it, I was a water drop then evaporated joined the clouds and became rain after that I joined the ocean once again, the cycle continued for almost 2000 years, for some reason it was strangely peaceful.

When I woke up I could hear an angelic voice singing, it was intoxicating I wanted to hear more and more of that voice, but a wave of cool energy flood my brain and I was back to normal, I could still hear the voice and it was still relaxing but I wasn't obsessed with it now.

I set out to find where it came from, the ocean animals were all avoiding me because of the pressure I give to them. When I reached the place where the song was coming from I was shocked.

Right in front of me was a mermaid with red hair and a killer body if you don't count the fish legs.

She noticed me and had her guard up imminently.

''Hello'' She talked but her lips didn't move, It must have been some kind of telepathy.

''Hi?'' I said uncertain if the skill worked.

''What are you? You are not a surface dweller.'' She asked with confusion.

''You can think of me as an evolved version of those guys.'' -Adam

''What is your purpose in coming here?'' Boy, she is just full of questions isn't she.

''I was feeling kind of depressed so I came here to empty my mind.'' And it worked.

''Well, I never saw a surface dweller survive this long here so if you would like, you can come to our village. We don't have much but we would be happy to share. ''

''Alright.'' I really wanted to see a village of mermaids. Who wouldn't?

So we started swimming, actually, she was swimming and I was kind of gliding in the water.

After 20 or so minutes we arrived and the sight of it took my breath away, this was heaven.

''Ehem.'' The red-haired mermaid made a coughing noise and brought me back from my dream, the village was actually pretty standard and there were a lot of dude mermans too, they were like normal people except they had fish legs.

Me coming into the village caused a big commotion and almost everyone started crowding around me, there were a lot of kids here too and I got to say, THEY WERE INCREDIBLY CUTE!

I always had a soft stop for kids, they usually became assholes after a while but they are too cute when they are around 5.

Like my sister, she was so cute when she was little but then she grew up and became cold. The kids were touching my wings and horns, and playing around one of them tried to pull out a feather but couldn't.

A dude merman that looked like Poseidon came out and started asking me questions after their curiosity was satisfied they gave me raw fish and some seaweed, I could see that the village wasn't too well of so I declined their offer.

''ROARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR''

I heard a deep roar and people instantly became scared.

''Stranger you better go or the shark tribe will get you too, Maria, go with him.'' -Samuel

''I will not leave you father!'' -Maria

''I'm sorry dear but you know as well I do that you are of age right now and they will come get you if you don't leave.''

''But that will only make them angrier! I will not leave!'' -Maria

''Oh my dear, you are just like your mother.'' -Poseidon

''Samuel get your scaly ass out here!''

It looked like things were getting interesting so instead of leaving I went to see what shark-people looked like. The village chief Samuel was souting at me to not go but I didn't listen.

When I arrived at the entrance I couldn't hold back my laughter, these shark-people looked incredibly like derpy with their eyes. They were a mix of different species of sharks, every one of them looked like they had googly eyes glued to their face.

''What is a bird doing in the sea?'' The big fat one asked towards Samuel.

''He is just a stranger esteemed ones, he was just leaving.'' -Samuel

''Not so fast! He stays I haven't eaten a bird for a while and want to try one.'' - Big Fat Derpy

''That goes against the laws.'' -Samuel

''I am the law you fish brain!''

I had gathered enough evidence to understand the sharks were the bad guys so I appeared behind him and cut off his head, I do not take kindly to people who wanted to eat me.

The rest of the derpy sharks were shocked to see their friend who was just living, die when they blinked their derpy eyes.

I stopped them with my aura when they try to swim away, and gathered them in a bundle and told them to stay put if they didn't want to die.

''Stranger I thank you for trying to help but that only made things worse.'' -Samuel

''What do you mean?'' -Adam

''Every 5 years they take our food and untouched women and in return offer protection to us from the sea monsters, it is thanks to them that our village wasn't destroyed.'' -Samuel

''They don't deserve it, they take more than they share and it hasn't even been 3 years since they last came!'' Maria came and shouted at her father.

''How about I take care of that for you?'' -Adam

''I see that you are strong stranger, but they have an ancient beast with them that is incredibly strong, it was the reason we were reduced to this state in the first place.'' -Samuel

''Just trust me.'' -Adam

''Hey Derp#1 where is your village?'' -Adam

So the derpy sharks took me to their village, that was way bigger than the mermaids.

The sharks that took me here imminently alerted their friends and around 300 people came out ready to attack me.

''ROARRRRRRRRRRR''

But they were stopped by a roar that came from a distance.
