“Well, where are they?’ The God of Fire demands of the man kneeling before him.

The man is trembling as he contemplates his answer. His calm is not helped by the small piles of ash in the room, which were all that was left of others that displeased his master.

“We tracked them in two places in the Domain of Water. In both cases they moved before any of our agents could get there.”

The God leaned back in his throne and room got a few degrees warmer as he considers the information. “Where are they now?”

“They are in the city of Deepwell.”

“Mother seems to have found a way to protect them for the moment. Track them if they leave the city and capture them when they do.”

“Of course, my lord.”

“You may go.”

“Thank you, my lord.” The man says as he considers what he can do. The city of Deepwell is the capital of the Domain of Water and they have few agents there. There is no way they have enough agents to watch for George and Nora leaving the city. He will have to setup an agent to take the fall for not tracking George and Nora, otherwise he will become another burnt pile of ash in the Gods throne room.

The Goddess of Water arrives in a flash of light. Her mother doesn’t lookup from a small basin of water she is staring at. “I see they made it.” Her mother says with a smile.

“Yes. They made it to the Timeless Gate.” The Goddess of Water says excitedly as she takes a seat in a chair that appears out of thin air across from her mother.

“I haven’t seen any major new activity from the God of Fires agents, so I don’t think he is aware of their target was the Temple of the Seven Moons.” Vera says.

The Goddess of Water scoffs. “He is so arrogant, he rarely credits mortals with enough intelligence to be a threat.”

“Hopefully they are able to free Poth and get out quickly before he reacts or this will all be for naught.”

“I will have my agents ready, but who knows where they will surface with Poth.”

The Goddess of Water gets back to her feet. “I will stop at my head Temple to talk with my priests before scrying my lands.”

Her mother nods and the Goddess of Water vanishes.

Vera goes back to looking in the basin with a slight smile on her lips.
