While doing his research, Chrono realize he can't execute his plan without better preparation.He told Jurek he need more time to prepare for better chance of success.

Today, is the day to sell the clan's spoils. After he sold the clan's spoils, Chrono ask around the business district of Mafoso for information gathering. Once his done, he proceed to the merchant's guild.

Guilds in Emperor Saga divide by good side and dark side. Guild on the good side like mercenary's guild would never get along guild on the dark side such as thief or assassin's guild.

Merchant's guild was the only guild stand on the 'grey side'. The guild has normal relationship with both guild on the dark side and the good side. They supplied goods and weapon to anyone that asked and their member can send quest to any guild.

80% quest by the users was created by merchant mainly because merchant can send quest to any guild and their quest were popular since they offer great reward.Because their low combat abilities and busy schedule, merchant always send quest to various guild.

User's quest mostly revolve around money unlike NPC. And usually when a user looking for quest, they will look on the quest post by merchant first since merchant usually offer reasonable amount of money.

Chrono come to the merchant's guild for two reason. The first reason was posting offer for crafting in a bulk. He decide to post various offer without specializing in one thing.

Since Chrono want to stay anonymous, he used his alias instead of his real name. With the merchant guild representative becoming his proxy, Chrono can stay anonymous while making the deal.

Since the offer can be seen by all kind of people, alot of crafting merchant hide their identity when posting offer to avoid getting rob.

Merchant that supplying in bulk usually rich enough to attract bandit. That's why these kind of merchant usually keeping themselves hidden and willing to pay a small price for using a proxy.

After his done with the crafting offer,Chrono look around for merchant that can supply crafting material cheaply. He take a note on every offer and decide to study them later.

Then Chrono look for guild's quest to accumulate point for increasing his merchant ranking.

"(Hmm.....I used to hate quest that require me to leave town since I'm weak in combat. But now I can try that kind of quest.)"

Chrono looking for a quest that is efficient enough for him to do the quest while not neglecting his duty as the clan's merchant.While his looking around, one particular quest aroused his attention.

Guild's Quest : Sending letter to a friend

I need someone to send me a letter to my friend at another town.Come at my accessory shop at the business district to meet me for more detail explanation.

Requirement : Having at least Beginner Rank (Rank E) in merchant guild

"(Hmm.....I remember seeing this quest before, it seems no one complete it eventhough it looks like an easy task despite having to leave Mafoso. Maybe because the reward were low?)"

Chrono decide to check it out since his curious and it's been ages since he do quest from NPC.He walk out from the merchant guild and head to Julard's accessory shop at business district.

"Welcome!"

"Hi, I'm here to inquire about the quest you sent at the merchant guild."

"Err...it's been resolve, sorry I would ask guys at merchant guild to take down that quest board. Haha..."

"Really? So there's no helping.......wait, don't tell me you just don't want me to do the quest."

Trying to avoid Chrono's gaze, Julard reply while stuttering.

"Of, of course not! I w, would ask you if, if I need anything. haha..."

"...........Give me the letter you want to send NOW."

"Here it is"

Julard handing the letter to Chrono while bowing and his body full of sweat. It seems eventhough 'Asura Mask' can hide Chrono chaotic status, talking with NPC will make his infamy status known to that particular NPC.

"Where I should send the letter?"

"My friend currently live in Daisy probably running an accessory store like me."

"His name?"

"Avis. Please take care the letter sir."

"After I finish the job I should claim the reward from you or your friend?"

"From me, sir.I'm willing to pay 5....no! 20 gold is all I have right now, please spare me!."

"What the....I'm here to do the quest not robbing someone. Just give me 5 copper like you promised"

"Tha, thank you, sir."

After receiving the quest, Chrono plan to stop by somewhere before he leave Mafoso. He walk to the residence district heading to one particular house.

The flower field on the left and river can be seen on the far right.The house was simple but has a great view.Anyone can tell the house was special even with its simple design.

A dream house for someone who long for a simple and quite live. Instead of entering the house, he stop before he get to close and just watch from distance.

It's been a long time since Chrono come here. The last time he visit was before he restart his level. The place were nothing special for Chrono, but somehow he feels obliged to stop by.

At that particular house, there's a middle age woman observing her two sons having their sword practice.

"(It seems they are fine, did those two trying to join the military?It's okay I guess, that guy will be proud.)"

Without a word, Chrono exit Mafoso. He has mix feeling some part of him feels weird to stalk on NPC family but the other part of him feels he need to keep watching them.

Outside of Mafoso, Chrono ride on Thorin heading to the chaotic town of Daisy.

Once he arrive, like usual, the crowd went over him.

"Master Chrono why you didn't tell us you would come!"

"Yeah, today we didn't even bring the material for your holy hand to touch"

"Today, I'm not going to craft things. And please refrain from calling me by my name from now on, too many noob whisper me for no reason."

"Now that you mention it, I now wonder how can we lowly being have any right to speak of your real name.How should we call you from now on?"

"(Wow, they unexpectedly love to exaggerate things)"

"From now on, just call me 'Smiling Merchant' "

"Understood! All hail 'Smiling Merchant!"

By the chaotic user weird treatment, somehow Chrono feels good about it .But his aware there still some user in Daisy has ill feeling against him and may attack him when his supporters gone.

Chrono walk toward the town's accessory store to meet Avis, friend of Julard.

"Yes, Can I help you?"

"....It seems you didn't afraid of me."

"That's because I live here in the chaotic town, I meet people like you everyday, but I've to admit you are exceptionally scary."

"I see"

"(It seems my infamy point were too high, I should try reducing it later.)"

"Here, I brought your friend letter, Julard from Mafoso."

"Really? I didn't heard about that guy since I moved in this town. That guy was a scaredy cat, he send request in merchant guild only. He said only merchant weren't scary looking. I guess since he only send request on merchant guild, it almost impossible to find merchant that willing to come here in chaotic town."

"I guess so, would you like for me to help you to send the return letter?"

"Sure,I had ready the letter before in case that guy send someone, here you go.

"Give me 10 of those, that will be 200 silver right?"

"Thanks, I will go to 'Deadwood' now."

Exiting the chaotic town of Daisy, Chrono ride on Thorin heading east to Deadwood.

One of the cursed wood in the world, 'Deadwood' filled with with undead monster ranging from level 100 to level 200. Most of the terrain in 'Deadwood covered in swamp and the area covered by a thick fog all the time.

The swamp and the thick fog make it hard for user to hunt here since undead monster always ambush the user from the fog. Party were inefficient here since they will easily get separated by the fog.

'Seppuku Warrior' were exceptionally dangerous since they love to ambush user and has high attack power. But the most dangerous one were 'Soulless Knight', level 200 mini boss monster that wander around 'Deadwood' randomly.

Since normal user didn't hunt here and thick fog make it easy for emergency escape, 'Deadwood' become one of the most popular hunting ground for chaotic player.

Chaotic user usually a solo player but sometime they also move in group. Without saying, these user also attack each other making 'Deadwood' a dreadful war zone.

Things like getting killed while fighting the monster and fighting two or three way battle were normal occurrence.Sometimes they even killing their own teammate for valuable loot.

Chrono leave Thorin outside of 'Deadwood' since he felt he should enter alone. Thorin were a great pet but stealth was not his specialty.

In 'Deadwood' moving in stealth was crucial since moving without stealth would attract monster and chaotic user.

"(I believe you can hold your ground against monster around here. Just wait for me)"

As if he understand, Thorin nod.He refrain himself from following his master and loyally wait at the designate place.

"(I guess it's okay since this is a safe spot. I should get going and look for that 'Rubert'.That is if he still alive.)"

Chrono activated 'Walking Dead' before he enter 'Deadwood'. He prepared for the worse, almost reality like game like 'Emperor Saga' make it possible for NPC to died.

In these kind of environment, it's hard to survive especially with chaotic user that love to do random things around.In his mind, even founding Rubert dead body can be considered lucky.

While wandering in 'Deadwood', Chrono always activated 'Walking Dead' and using his 'Fear Death' skill he avoid monster and user around him. He tried to avoid fight as much as he can since finding 'Rubert' was his priority.

With 'mage ring', Chrono can always activated 'Walking Dead' skill since mana regeneration from 'mage ring' and his natural mana regeneration make it he can generate 25 mana per second.That was more then 'Walking Dead' skill mana consume which is 20 mana per second.

But things don't always goes as plan, Chrono notice a group of 20 people has followed him since he leave Daisy.From the looks of it, Chrono anticipated that the group would attack him soon after he enter 'Deadwood'.

Readying himself, Chrono change his mask from the 'Smile Mask' to 'Skull Mask'. The mask itself doesn't has anything special, but he realize people recognized the 'Skull Mask' as hundredmen slayer.

And since he always crafting and doing merchant job while wearing 'Smile Mask', other user always underestimated his combat ability.

"( 18,19, 20....Now everyone that followed me on my 'Fear Death' range. There also 10 'Seppuku Warrior' and 12 unrelated chaotic user nearby.)"

Chrono already hide his present with 'Walking Dead' and eventhough his walking step can be heard since its the swamp, the sound already mix with other monster and chaotic user around.

He can tell 20 users that followed him were veteran user since they obviously can differentiate between the sound of him walking from the other surrounding sound.Rather than skill, they followed him with experience.

Chrono walk until he reach a dead end. In front of him is a huge wall of tree but he can tell the other side of the wall is another road.

"(I never tried it before, I hope it's working.)"

Chrono turn off his 'Walking Dead'. Soon after he turn off the skill, monster and chaotic user around him rush on him to attack. The 20 people that following him also charge on him to not miss the party.

Chrono run toward the wall tree when he felt monster and user around him were close enough.

'Shadow Ghost'

He never tried it before, but eventually the 'Shadow Ghost' skill can also run through wall. Soon after he arrive at other side of the wall, he reactivate his 'Walking Dead' skill.

At the other side, instead of encountering Chrono, they encountered a huge wall of tree. Then from their side 'Seppuku Warrior' suddenly came and attacking them. Other chaotic user were also confuse but attacking anyone on sight.Another 3 way battle breakout in the 'Deadwood'.

Chrono continue on searching for Rubert. He search around the tree maze, the swamp and various abandon hut but end up in a failure. Sometime he close in whenever he felt a living being didn't move with his 'Fear Death' skill in hope it will be Rubert.

But Chrono end up encountering monster and chaotic user in the middle of resting instead. Since they are alone and sometime injured, Chrono slay them all.It was hard for Chrono to determine his location with the thick fog and the swamp and tree that almost look the same make it worst.

"(It's hard to find him. And I only have today since tomorrow I need to work for the clan.)"

While wandering around, Chrono encountered 20 men group that followed him. They still in 3 way battle.Their side and other 2 sides already wear out from the 3 way battle.

"(They still didn't finish? I will help them then)"

Chrono end up slaying all the chaotic user and monster in the battle.
