《The Unwanted (Dark Fantasy LitRPG)》Chapter 24- Dungeon Complete

Boseman stepped over the hole with sound waves pulsating underneath him. He motioned for the Unwanted to step and they were slowly taken down to a pile of blood and guts.
The group turned on light crystals and attached them to their heads. Sharp instructed them in the direction of the boss room. An earth mage stepped forwards and Mercy gave them the order to carve the way.
There were still hundreds more of undead that were crushed under the rocks. They were swifty killed. Most of the Unwanted were Raptor rank on emergency backup duty. Everyone of them were on call for situations like these.
The earth mage carved their way through the hallway and into the boss area. Suddenly, Tower and his group got a notification.
You have cleared the dungeon- Necromancer’s Playground.
Average level requirement: 40
Difficulty: Hard
Rewards and experience are dependent on the contribution of each person. Please find the chest to receive rewards.
“That’s good news.” Boseman said.
A force struck against an earth mage who was moving rocks in the center of the room. Mercy levitated the man back to his feet and he dusted himself off.
“I believe that’s what we’re after.” Mercy said, “Terram, go slowly. If you feel something countering you stop immediately.”
The earth mage nodded and began to slowly carve away at the rocks, “I feel it,” she stated, “It’s harder than… anything actually.”
The void crystal became exposed and it dropped on the floor and rolled around.
“It wasn’t like that before,” Tower remarked, “It was levitating and shifting backwards and forwards.”
Sharp pushed the glasses up on his face, “I believe the target was making it more unstable to reach the demons. But I do not understand why it has stopped.”
“Everyone keeps a ten metre radius from the void crystal. This thing is dangerous,” Boseman ordered
A rally of “Yes, Sir.” from the group in response.
“If anyone senses a living human, tell me immediately.” Mercy ordered as well.
Tower bent down and looked at the crystal from a safe distance, “When we were leaving and rocks were falling onto it, I noticed that none of them made contact. They were all cut in half or shifted to the side.”

“So someone messed with it, you’re saying?” Mercy questioned, “What about the necromancer’s body?”
“I think I’ve found the boss!” one earth mage shouted.
The group made their way around the crystal and surrounded the headless skeleton. Most of its bones were crushed but twitched every so often. Mercy held out his hand and the bones began to crumble in on itself. They turned into liquid and then into a ball of smooth bone.
Mercy levitated it up and floated it over to Tower who caught it. It was surprisingly heavy and he had to tense his muscles to even hold it.
"Au souvenir," Mercy said in french.
“Sol should have been around here. He was holding the necromancer down as we escaped,” Tower explained.
“We’ll find him. It’s not like he can die,” Mercy said.
Sharp bent down and picked up the cloak it had on.
Cloak of Cradled Darkness RARE
A powerful cloak of those who have dark affinities. It is made from the hide of a shadow wolf and perfectly tailored.
Self Regeneration

Defense Rating: 27
Affinities: Dark, Death.

He shared the description with the rest of the group.
“High mana storage,” Boseman stated, “That’s good for rare.”
“I’ve found the loot!” An earth mage shouted.
The earth mage carved out a large rock to reveal a golden chest that was glowing.
“Wooh, baby!” Spike cheered as he rubbed his hands.
“Tower, would you like to do the honours?” Mercy asked.
As he was about to move the void crystal levitated up into the air. Iridescent colours were being pushed out of it. It began to shift violently into the air.
A few metres away, space opened in the flash of an eye and Sol was ejected along with a rainbow of colours. He didn’t travel through the void crystal, rather his path awakened it.
The rest of the Unwanted moved forward with magic and weapons ready to kill Sol.
“Stand down!” Mercy shouted, “He’s one of us.”
Sol only had tattered trousers on, his tattoo and tallies were exposed to the rest of the Unwanted.

“The Immortal,” One whispered to a teammate.
Tower and his group rushed over to the exhausted Sol.
“You ok?” Tower asked, “I was getting worried.”
“Fine-” Sol croaked, travelling through the void so perfectly it made him feel sick. The system assisted travel felt almost too perfect to be normal and it was like going on a boat for the first time. It was much better than ripping his body to shreds though.
Tower bent down and looked at the thousand more tallies on his body. He never really kept count but he could clearly tell there was more. His whole chest and back were covered with them, all except on the tattoo. They never formed on his feet, hands, neck or face however.
“What happened?” Tower asked with concern.
“Long story, how long has it been?” Sol said, “Fuck- I’m glad to see you guys.”
“It’s been about 3 hours since we left you down here.” Tower explained.
“What?” Sol asked.
“I said three hours,” Tower repeated.
“How is that- I’ve been there for a month,” Sol muttered under his breath.
“Where?” Tower questioned.
“I’ll tell you later,” Sol said as laid back down and breathed a sigh of relief. He was more than relieved and surprised that a whole month in the Euclid Dimension meant hours in the Mortal.
Mercy moved forward and the group parted around. “You touched the void crystal,” he stated calmly, “That was stupid.”
“Oh, you called the cavalry,” Sol remarked, “Yeah. I was trying to stop the necromancer from reaching it. I pushed him back into a rock and it knocked me into it,” Sol half-lied.
Mercy took off his mask and looked Sol in the eyes, “You’re different,” he noticed while staring into Sol’s iridescent eyes, “Where did you go?”
Sol smiled, “It’s a bit of a mind fuck still, I’ll tell you later, Sir.”
Sol glanced at his summoner's menu that just popped up.

Tower helped him up and dusted him off, “You still got your mask?” He asked.
“Oh shit, yeah.” Sol said as he pulled the mask from his pouch,
“Do you still have the heart?” Sharp asked.
Sol pulled that out too and showed it to Boseman and Mercy.
“Strange,” Mercy remarked, “Do you feel anything towards it?” He asked.
“No,” Sol replied, “But it’s true to its name.”
Mercy nodded, “That will fetch a pretty price. You still have the dungeon loot to receive- don’t forget.”
Tower pulled out a large shirt from his own storage pouch and handed it to Sol. The Immortal nodded a thanks and they headed over to the dungeon chest while the rest of the group cleared the area.
“The specialised loot is always the best,” Spike stated.
Tower bent down and lifted up the chest, golden light shone out and a list of loot appeared in blue screens.
