《One Piece No Go No Ken》Luffy vs Yoh 1

Yoh was perched on the roof of the cabin, watching the stars sparkle across the sky. He had decided to stay awake while waiting for the return of his brother and Raoh. It was good because he usually had trouble sleeping. These last days had been rich in emotions, although he already adapted himself to life in this new world, albeit with a bit more challenge than his twin brother.
He was like Raoh and had left love behind him. Except he was actually a married old man. The events determined that he could not bid goodbye to his wife and children before leaving. He could not even assist to the birth of his grandchild. To be honest he did not know how he was confined in this dimension during his ultimate expedition. As the heir and leader of the Asakura clan, still, he had responsibilities to consider. The price to pay was a little too high this time...
When they gave the coup de grace to their portentous foe, It opened a portal that sent them here. Their respective organizations, patch, and Asakura might have ruled them dead by now... It was high time for him to turn the page. Yoh heaved one last sigh resolved to accept his fate. He had been nostalgic before and thought that his illness would take his life away. But since he was healthy now, there was no more reason for him to live in the past. His own brother was the best example to follow, just accept the truth that they might never return and live this new life to the fullest.
He was not ready to accept other people into his heart, but he would see how things would go. His best friend had come along with him, so there was no need to be totally negative.

"Amidamaru, let's go to sleep, tomorrow will be a long day," Yoh urged the hazy shade behind him.
He jumped inside the cabin and did not wait for the shadow to emulate. The ghost glimpsed one last time at the firmament and followed in a hurry.
At this time, the head duo closed in on the tree. they spoke of some details before finally settling down to snooze like the others. This day had been hectic and they decided to sleep on it. Querying for solutions was ineffective sometimes; right now their genuine duty was to retain steam, in order to bear the Brent Pirates' counter-attack.

The next day, Yoh came to talk with Raoh; apparently, he noticed that something had changed inside of him. He could feel the Shamanic energy bursting from him. When he asked Hao why Raoh had become a shaman despite not possessing any spirit, the latter just smiled helplessly.
He was also curious; figuring this question out would put his mind at ease. But Raoh was that kind of individual anyway, it would not do much to look too much into his secrets. Hao murmured some words into Yoh's ear. After hearing it Yoh's expression became white. If what Hao had said was true, it would not be surprising if Raoh rendered more bewilderment in the future. He was curious to find a spirit to help him develop his own shamanic set of skills. When Raoh heard about shamanic skills he became instantly interested. Yesterday he had only crossed the theoretical and basic knowledge with Hao and Firey. He was more interested in the advanced part of the course.
Yoh just smiled and proposed to demonstrate what he meant. His own brother could be classified as a magician among Shamans, but he was more of a fighter.

He did not go into details. Raoh impatient offered a training session to monitor the damage by himself. When they finished their breakfast, they headed for a quiet clearing.
The moment the two fighters put themselves in a fighting position, Luffy burst in, followed by Ace and Sabo and said :
"Bro, let me have a little fun today. It's been a while since I wanted to test my abilities against a worthy adversary! Hehe. "

The Book of Hickory
Now why did Hickory go and punch that Angel? Sure it spooked him, popping up right there at lunch, and yet, it wasn't fear that balled his hand into a fist - Cause wouldn't you? Wouldn't anyone - with a sick Ma at home, Da long dead, buried, all them prayers piling up on bruised knees, unanswered? Hickory was angry, all right. He was fierce, now - cause that Angel didn't show up to give no help, that Angel came by asking for it - with all that power just plain to see, the power to fix the world and all that ails it! And now look what poor Hickory has to do - to save the world? Now how is he supposed to do that when its taking near everything he's got - just to keep them chickens safe, Ma fed, and himself out of trouble - All he wanted was maybe just a dance with May, maybe a bit more, to hold her close? That she's sweet, now, a voice like an angel, but now she's over there lookin at him like he's more than a man. And that's not to say Hickory is bad, not all the time, not ever on purpose - just there are things a man has to - That drinking and fighting ain't wrong just as long as the chores are done proper first, that those parts of life that make it worth living ain't no sin, that loving a lady is proper and Hickory just has so much love to give! And May is special, right, sweet and soft, now she's sophisticated. That she wears her passion like a pearl necklace? That certainly Hickory would notice, naturally - that she's already spoken for, perhaps taken? That ever since Hickory came back, that all she can think about is swallowing - those strange feelings, because it wouldn't do, would it? For a Lady? But certainly she can worship him and still be seen with Weston Covanger? Because Weston needs May, that what happens in the Study is only half the battle, the Men's Business, and he's far too proud to settle for half of anything. That if he wants to move up the ranks of his family, to be more than a Covanger, to become the Covanger? He's going to need a woman in the Kitchen as well - he's going to need May. And if that seems a bit old fashioned? A bit too much like the Wild West? Well the West is starting to get wild again now that everyone starts to Drink. A different take on LitRPG where answers aren't given - they must be earned, discovered and fought for, one at a time. An orator style, a long read, filled with magic buildings, crafting, alchemy, but most of all - This is a story about the human spirit. About understanding what defines a person, their morals, their beliefs, and also faith when everything they understand becomes challenged - changed. So do they. People can change. They will. Just not always for the better, not always - sometimes. Sometimes that's enough. Sometimes that's even everything.
