《One Piece No Go No Ken》Shenanigans 1

Lena went away in silence; I took one last look at Lewis's carcass before rushing into the darkness of the jungle.
The night had fallen and it was too dark to navigate properly into the forest. My eyes were abnormal, but my night vision was not optimized. The system was assisting me at that time fortunately; thanks to him I wasn't totally lost, as I did exactly as it told me. I had locked in the area and just ran in a straight line for it. The new Devil fruit was eleven kilometers away...
It was modestly far but I could not care less. My priority right now was to prevent anyone or anything to rob the fruit before I arrived. I was dashing through the forest at full speed and it took me about fifteen minutes to reach the place. According to the speed, it meant I was running at 44 km/h for a quarter of an hour. This was close to the greatest running speed for athletes in my past world, even the sprinting world champion could only maintain such pace for a few seconds.
In terms of maximum pace, I was slower than the best sprinter in history. However, my cruising or average speed was better. The primary reason for this was my extraordinary stamina, the second was my recovery abilities. I had never noticed how fast I had become until I had to race against time.
Three attributes determined my acceleration and pace in particular. Those attributes were agility, dexterity, and endurance. On a minor degree, my sense attribute also mattered into the equation, but it could be ignored because it only influenced my reflexes and reaction time; things which were very important but not a deciding factor until they became flawless. I had very good senses but I had yet to cross that boundary... Running while using Hokuto was something I could achieve but my mastery was still shallow; added the fact that I could not trigger my survival instincts at any given time, I could not do away with these human restrictions.

To sum up, sprinting was about general maneuver, motion, and control of the body. Agility was the most important attribute obviously because it represented how fast you could move your limbs; dexterity reinforced the precision and control so that there was not any wasteful motion; while endurance was how long the body could go without tiring and weakening.
It would seem as if I was not satisfied with the level I had achieved at six, but in fact, it was not so. If those guys from my old world knew what I was thinking they would turn in grief inside their coffins. If even one of them was gifted with the stamina I had, they would have long since been able to set sprinting records impossible to beat and become guinea pigs for scientists.
"System, where is the fruit?" I questioned the system after arriving in a clearing at the edge of a low-rise hill.
"Look on your right, the bush which is situated on the sand dune in the corner there." The system said after having combed through the different berries close by. I was very anxious and as soon as I heard his response I made a dart for the fruit across the nearby shrubs.
"Fiuu... Fortunately, it's still there. It looks like I made it in the nick of time, hehe." I smiled and glanced in an amorous manner at a strangely shaped drupe a few meters from me. The object was very different from the rest of the fruits growing on the sapling. The other crops had a purple color, almost pink. They looked like raspberries and if I was not in such a hurry I would have stopped to collect some. I was very big on fruits and especially berries with cream cheese.
I got closer in order to look at the devil fruit I was about to pluck. I had yet to decide what I was going to do with my awaited harvest, but It could wait for another time. I was impatient and enthusiastic at the simple prospect of taking the object in my hands. The first devil fruit I would possess after my rebirth. Devil fruits were not extremely expensive for nothing...Even if I did not eat one myself, they were something I would need in order to develop my own little battalion.

"Let's see...!" The fruit had a yellow tinge compared to the others and had some weird curly peel that looked somewhat crabby and churlish. It looked as if the fruit had been infected by some parasite to cause this sort of mutation. The patterns gave me some strange misconception; it appeared almost as if the fruit was sentient...

A D&D Gamer in Garweeze Wurld
He doesn't know how he got here, and while the trappings are familiar, he doesn't actually know where he is, either. From the perspective of those around him, Duromar is a half-ogre barbarian, an uncivilized brute by any standard you care to use. But from his perspective, he's a character created in a gaming system. From either one, he must live within the rules of that system. This is the story of a gamer who ends up in a game that's just a bit off from what he knows. ---- I wanted to write something a little bit old-school. Most of the LitRPG I've found seems to be based on computer RPG styled stories. Progression through levels is fast, and depending on the game, skills and even attributes can be trained with or without class levels. This wasn't true with the older pen and paper games, and that's the style of leveling I wanted to write.
