Brent Pirates
Luffy came inside like a comet. He looked at the two brothers as if he had just found something marvelous. He could not understand or process that there were actually other people who could be like the two of us. Twins were a special existence in this guy’s world. Meeting those two opened his bubble and he was now attuned to the world a bit more. Things like those seemed to happen huh? I guess we’re not alone on this planet?
Those were the type of questions that were going through his simple mind.
Sabo: So these guys are twins huh? You said you fought with the older one. His name is Hao, is it?
“Yeah, this is basically the gist of the situation…” I said. “I’ll give more details later I’m pretty tired right now.” I was not going to announce to Luffy that they were going to join the crew. They were my responsibility and I’d find a solution in due time. Anyway, Luffy would never reject them once they became friends first. That was the secret with Luffy...He liked to brag how he wanted a small crew, but anyone he was friends with would suffer a wave of invitation for piracy. He even invited Makino to be a pirate with us before…
Luffy: Why are you guys living alone here? Your parents...Well, nevermind.
He asked curiously. People liked to think Luffy was dumb because he was a simpleton. He was far from being dumb. Just right now he understood a lot of things without a need for me to tell him anything. How would two boys no older than seven be able to have such a nice home? They cooked and stuff, were able to have chairs, and such an orderly house inside a trashy dump such as Gray Terminal.
Hao: None of your business... Raoh get your ass over here. What’s the plan right now? You’ve cured my brother, but why have you guys even come here. You’re outsiders. If Captain Brent learns of your presence, which I already think he has...

The guy was not ready to talk about this right now. We had more important stuff to do after all so he changed the subject.
“That Brent Guy is the pirate from the Grand Line you’ve been mentioning? What makes him so fearsome. You guys are working for him right?”
Ace: From what I’ve been gathering he’s been lording over the different zones of the Terminal ever since his arrival.
Yoh: Yes. Usually, pirates from the outside just come, do business and leave the place. This is how we’ve been able to survive until now. People living in Gray Terminal don’t receive help from the government and Goa Town. We’re seen as outcasts and parasites, according to them if they do not kill us this is good enough…
“Who’s they?” I asked.
Hao: Goa Town Nobles. They’re related to the world nobles from Mariejois. Anyway, the structure here is pretty simple. Outsiders come and dump stuff here; they leave and we enjoy whatever is new. No one really vies for supremacy and we don’t really fight for the resources. However...ever since that guy came a few months ago, gangs from each zone have become chaotic. Wars have begun between us and he’s come one day and claimed the position of top dog here. We fought with his crew but...He’s got devil fruit users and all sorts of weird abilities.
“So basically he’s stronger than anyone here…” I smiled in understanding.
Hao: … That’s a way to put it. Hmph! Anyway, Yoh and I have been running errands for that guys ever since he came. The two of us are two of the top officials inside his base. Besides the core crew members, no one is really worth our attention. But I’m not sure if it’s a good idea to face that guy Brent...I know you’re strong but.
“What?” Sabo, Ace, and Luffy also opened their ears widely. That guy was something new to them. Someone stronger than me was rich…

“He’s…He’s got a Logia devil fruit. You guys know there are different types of devil fruits right?” Hao answered shaking when he thought about the fearsomeness of the thug.
“Not really but you can explain…” I was not really sure on that subject. It was time for me to get a lesson on the matter.
Yoh: Basically there are three types of devil fruits and devil fruit users. “Paramecia, Zoan and Logias.”
Paramecia devil fruits give the user exotic abilities that can help them to do weird things…
Luffy: Like this? Ham! (eating noise)
He opened his mouth like a hungry monster and it stretched almost taking a quarter of the ceiling. He swallowed half the provisions I allowed him to eat. I shook my head when I saw this.
Yoh: What the heck? You’re a devil fruit user...
Hao: Cool!! How do you stretch like that? (he was marveled by the weird fellow)
Luffy: I’ve eaten the “Gomu-Gomu No Mi”.
He answered proudly as if he’d done something worth of praise.
“Yeah don’t worry about it guys.It happened like yesterday...literally. I don’t know if his fruit could count as that Paramecia thing…?” I smiled bitterly
Hao: Where did you guys find such a thing? Those are rare. Brent has sailed the Grand Line for seven years but he’s only managed to find one. The other users already had their fruits when he met them.
Luffy: Secret! Hehe.
Hao: No fair!
He pulled on Luffy's cheeks and they started to make noise close to us.
Ace:……
Sabo:….I guess he met his counterpart.
Yoh was also a bit surprised how Hao acted. Luffy had that effect on people. He only did this to very close people. Only to him basically…
I smiled while observing his reaction in a strange way and he was brought back to reality.
Yoh: Anyway. I think If the only thing he can do is stretch, it should be those Paramecia. So on to the next ones; Zoan give the user the ability to shapeshift into animals and get their innate abilities. For example, if you get a lion zoan type fruit, you could have big and sharp teeth and paws...that is besides being able to transform. Still, follow me?
“Ouch!!!” Luffy was making a ruckus with Hao. They’d started to punch and mistreat each other. It looked as if they’d started to grapple now.
Yoh: Ahem..! (Throat cleared)
Sabo: You can continue. Don’t worry about Luffy.
Yoh finally noticed Sabo. He looked back at me and seemed to realize something.
Yoh: Really pole opposites...you brothers are really like us.
“I feel closer to your older brother although...?” I remarked with a hidden meaning.
Yoh: Whatever. So that was for Zoans. Now Logias…
Hao: Wait!!! (he stopped his little squeamish with Luffy and came eager to review the subject himself) Logias are for those who can transform into an element or a substance. They can also avoid attacks due to their intangible form. They also use that element or matter for attack or defense. This is a bit different from our ability to talk and control spirits. At least for me. You have not seen Yoh’s ability yet.
He took a break looking at his lil bro.
Hao: I guess he does not want to show off right now. His power is pretty cool. But back to the subject. Logias are such a pain to deal with because you can’t hit them. We still have not figured out how to fight Brent and that is why he’s been lording over us for so long…
His face was serious now when he said this.
“Hmm...So basically that guy’s invincible. What’s his power by the way?” I wondered so I asked.
Hao: He’s eaten the Wood Wood Fruit (Mokuzai Mokuzai no Mi) and he’s essentially a wooden man now...
