“No!”
“Call me daddy!” He took out a short whip and began whipping the Blue Fire Sect member on the back. “Call me daddy! Say it!”
“Please stop!”
“Call me daddy!” he whipped him a couple more times.
“Daddy!”
I choked on my water. I bent over, coughing and laughing at the same time. What kind of weird fetish is this? The tears formed at the corners of my eyes.
Hui Ming jumped across the table and pat on my back. “Are you alright?” she said.
I couldn’t stop laughing. Whoever had started this whole “call me daddy” culture in this world must’ve had an IQ of two hundred. He had somehow made gay BDSM “call me daddy” exhibitionism acceptable in public in one fell swoop. What. A. Genius.
Hui Ming kept patting me on the back, trying to help clear my airway. She bit her lip and wrinkled her brow. The father-son pair turned to us. The son pointed his whip at me. I was curled up on the ground laughing at that point, so I had to raise my head to see it. “You got a problem?”
Don’t rope me into your orgy! “I’m,” I choked out, “fine.” Hui Ming couldn’t tell who I was talking to.
He walked forward while slapping the bundled whip against his palm. “Call me daddy,” he said in a deep, menacing tone. I couldn't take it anymore. My laughter turned into hoarse wheezing.
He unfurled his whip and snapped it towards me.
The whip snapped, along with Hui Ming’s temper. She grabbed it out of midair.
“Hmph,” the young man said. He channeled his Qi into the whip and pulled on it as hard as he could.
“‘Hmph?’ What are you trying to say, whipping that at the master?” Hui Ming gave the whip a soft tug. The whip flew out of the young man’s grasp. He stared at his empty hands, not believing what had happened.

Hui Ming dashed forward and grabbed him by the neck. She stopped restaining her aura. The nearby spectators trembled, unable to withstand the pressure of a sixth stage cultivator.
The crimson robed kid, being the focus of this aura, pissed himself.
I sobered up, seeing that the situation had turned south. If I let this go on longer Hui Ming might end up killing the kid. I swallowed a seed that cleared my airway. I spit out a clump of fiber vines and Withered it. I stood up. “Xiao Li!” I scolded.
“Yes?” she said.
The kid's face was as red as a tomato from being choked. “Let go.” Hui Ming released her grip and he fell to the ground, gasping for air.
“Hey,” I called out the other kid with the bleeding cheek. I tossed him a conception pill. “Eat this, it’ll help with healing your cheek.” I turned to Hui Ming, “we’re leaving.”
I glanced at the paper boxes of food. A childish urge tugged at the corner of my lips. I took the food and left, Hui Ming following behind me. Hundreds of eyes followed us as we walked out. Once we were far away from the food court, I remembered what had happened. Another chuckle slipped out from my throat.
“What was so funny about that?” she asked.
“Nothing, nothing at all. Forget about it.” I said, “we are going to the medicine shop next. I’m going to go get that Grandmaster title. There better not be any trouble over there.”
