《Awakening of a Monster》Chapter 18 - Prelude to the Reunion

Amon his eyes with an annoyed look on his face as he heard the incessant banging on his door.
"I'M UP!" Was all that came out of his mouth in a mixture of a shout and a roar. The person knocking on the door seemed quite skittish and ran off after his shout.
Lying on his bed, taken away from his dreams of world domination, Amon rolled around on his bed mumbling about killing whoever woke him up as he felt an immense amount of annoyance to being woke up.
Amon let out a sigh as he remembered what they had to do today and then got up and walked to his ensuite to wash himself up.
After brushing his teeth and accidentally breaking 3 toothbrushes because of his yet to simmer annoyance, Amon walked out to his room to put some suitable apparel on.
Amon settled on a black tank top, black combat pants and black combat boots. He looked like a giant soldier and that's what he was going for because other than meeting Jax, Molly, and his Mom again, Amon had to thoroughly crush the opposing classers.
Mainly for one reason; he wanted to prove he was better than them.
Amon thought about some of the information he'd gained since yesterday. Yesterday during his rest, Amon decided to ask Sasha some question about what Stage he was in.
To his surprise, he was in Stage 2 but after looking at his information on the [Eight Demonic Gates Breathing Technique] he found out how to know what Stage he was on. Every 2 Gates was equivalent to a Stage and he, who'd opened 4 Gates was now in Stage 2. But he was an anomaly in Stage 2, mainly because he could probably crush a Stage 3 opponent because of the add-on abilities his Gates give him. Such as making his body more and more tyrannically perverse in pure, brute strength.
He wondered what Stage Equivalent Jax was at. He was hoping he could give him a good fight as a reunion present or something.
Amon felt his hunger growing, so he walked downstairs.
When downstairs he looked around and saw everyone in their own take on what was acceptable clothing for today's joint training.
Michael wore the same thing as Amon but white instead of black, so he looked like the member of some boy band. Julia wore a yellow summer dress, with some purple shoes on, like she was going on a picnic, not a training program which caused Amon to look at her like she was an idiot.
Fae was wearing a white crop top and some jean hot pants, showcasing her considerable 'assets'. Amon stared at her for a while, something telling him her choices in clothing were perfect.
Finally, his gaze landed on Lilith, who was glaring at him because of his lingering eyes on Fae. Amon beamed a smile at her, which soon pacified her, and her choice of clothing; they were exactly the same as his.

But unlike he, who looked like a killer, she looked like a really cute and beautiful girl cosplaying as a soldier. Amon's eyes seemed to sparkle as he looked at her before he walked over to her and patted her on the head, causing her to jolt in shock before she closed her eyes and enjoyed it. Amon couldn't help but compare Lilith to a kitten at this moment.
"Alright, you guys, eat up now! Because we need to leave as soon as possible!"
Sasha came in holding massive plates of food and put them down on the coffee table. The hungry Amon was drawn away from Lilith to the food, much to Lilith's chagrin.
After eating a whole plate to himself, Amon stopped and stood up from the sofa before doing some light stretches. "So, are we heading out now, Sasha?" Amon looked at Sasha who was impatiently tapping her foot. "Yeah, we could've gone 5 minutes ago if you weren't such a bloody glutton..." Sasha sighed before motioning for the others to follow her as she walked out of the door.
Amon shrugged and followed her towards the bus they'd be taking to the Joint Training. If you were wondering why they needed to take a whole bus just for 6 people it's because Amon's size made fitting him in a normal car quite a hassle for himself and those around him.
Sitting on the bus, Amon closed his eyes and tried to catch up on some sleep before the joint training.
Amon didn't get much sleep because of Michael and Fae bantering around on the bus but he did get a massive amount of rest which was better than nothing.
Before he knew it, Amon and the others on the bus arrived at the meet-up point for the training. It was pretty much the edge of a very big forest which looked like a rain forest in the size, width, and density of trees but it weirdly didn't feel like a rainforest. The air wasn't hot and humid and nor was there plenty of bugs crawling around.
As they all stood there and marveled at the massive majesty of the forest, Sasha started speaking. "Welcome to the largest awakened Forest in the world. And like all of the largest things it can be incredibly deadly, so be careful around here, there are quite a few dangerous beasts in there." She started off all jokey in tone but she soon turned serious, eliciting a nod from everyone.
As all 5 of the students looked at the forest, they felt that Sasha didn't need to warn them because their instincts were already going absolutely wild.
While they were waiting around, Michael and Julia had to talk Amon out of charging into the forest because a giant cat "glanced at him in disdain" as he so put it. They also saw the Giant Cat when it appeared but all it did was look at Amon and 'meow' at him. So if it weren't for its razor-sharp teeth and claws, it could even be said to be a little cute. Amon settled down after Sasha smacked him over the head and called him an idiot.

But what the others didn't know was that when Sasha wasn't looking, Amon would pick up a rock and use his gravity and density magic on it before throwing it in the direction he knew the Cat was staring at him from.
A few of his attempts caused yelps to ring throughout the area followed by Amon trying to act innocent when Sasha glared at him.
After a while of these kinds of shenanigans, all of them heard a bus coming from further down the road.
Amon and Lilith's eyes lit up like a kid's on Christmas as they looked at the bus that was getting bigger and bigger in their eyes; their childhood friends were on that bus.
Sasha got all of their attention and made them line up in wait for their co-students to fully arrive.
POV Change - Mia Rossi
Mia sat on the front seat of the bus, messing around with her dagger and occasionally swiping her caramel brown hair behind her ear or somewhere out of her eyes.
Deep in her slightly indifferent eyes, excitement bubbled upward threatening to spew out of her eyes.
She was looking forward to this joint training trip as her best friend Fae was apart of the SS training group and Mia hadn't seen her since she was inducted into the Hero Course. As Mia looked at her dagger, she saw a flawless metal dagger which shone with a crimson light.
Looking at the dagger, Mia was reminded of her class [Queen of Daggers]. It gave her many abilities but the main part was that it let her summon, de-summon and control daggers however she liked as long as she followed a few rules.
The dagger in her hand disappeared only to replaced with 3 smaller versions which floated round in circles above Mia's hand. It was quite a versatile class which was perfect as she could make so many skills with the versatility given to her.
Looking out the front of the bus, Mia could see 5 people lined up and a single person in front of them.
The person in front of them had long blonde hair and sparkling blue eyes, along with two ivory white horns on her forehead. She was incredibly beautiful with a seductive feel about her, her body was incredibly toned and had curves in all the right places.
But that wasn't the most glaring thing about her because she was taller than most men, seeming like a female half-giant.
Behind her was a pretty boy with white hair, although he was a bit short he still seemed strong and reliable while giving off an aura of pride and purity.
Next to him was a beauty with purple hair, she gave off an aura of dignity and nobility. Mia saw her best friend Fae next to the girl and the excitement that was bubbling in her eyes completely exploded outward.
Despite her excitement, Mia kept looking at the others in the line. Next in the line was a small and petite girl with tan skin, blonde hair and green eyes. Despite seeming quite timid, she gave off quite a seductive air but it seemed like some sort of trap to those who really looked into it.
As Mia was about to look at the person next to the timid girl, she heard Jax and Molly the strongest in the class both yelled in excitement which rivaled her own.
"Amon! Lilith!"
Both of them got up and rushed to the front of the bus with unnatural grace and speed as they looked at the timid girl and the guy next to her, they were quickly followed by a teary-eyed Beth. Mia turned her attention to the guy next to her and was shocked by his appearance.
His hair was as black as the darkest night and his skin was like bronze metal sheets perfectly grafted together to form an unblemished metal statue. His blood red eyes shone with pride and barely hidden arrogance.
His face could only be called devilishly handsome and the confident smirk on his face only added to his perfect image.
The aura he seemed to give off was just like the feeling his eyes gave off; prideful and arrogant with a bit of an imperious feel about it.
The black tank top he was wearing showcased his perfect and strong-looking upper body. But the most glaring thing about him was similar to the blonde woman at the front; he was freakishly tall and had a single horn popping out of the middle of his forehead and curving upward toward the sky.
Mia guessed that he must've been above 7ft making him look extremely imposing and his black horn only served to make him even more so while also giving him a majestic feel.
In all of Mia's 16 years of life, she'd never had her heart skip a beat, well, until now anyway.
And with that increase in heart rate, Mia knew that she, the [Queen of Daggers], had found herself a King.
