《Awakening of a Monster》Chapter 9 - Unexpected Affinities and Purification

"What?" Amon looked at her in confusion. Even he didn't know what the Grey thing was, he'd only ever seen the Red and Black making up Runes in his body.
"Amon, you've got an incredibly rare affinity. It's of the Physics branch, a branch of Affinities with unimaginable amounts of power." Sasha's voice sounded distracted as she answered Amon, while she looked at the Affinity Plate.
Amon's eyes became slits as he looked at Sasha with a discerning gaze "So I can control the Laws of Physics or?" his voice seemed quite excited at the thought of becoming omnipotent.
"Sadly, not all of Physics. You've got two aspects of it though, Gravity and Density. Both incredible powers for a warrior such as yourself." Sasha's voice didn't hide he envy for his affinity.
Amon's shoulders drooped a bit causing Sasha's eyes to twitch in annoyance. Amon just showed he was unhappy with two powers that all kinds of people would want. "Yeah okay, what about my other affinities? The red and black ones?" Amon's voice still seemed excited but this time, it was a bit less because he wasn't completely omnipotent.
Sasha rolled her eyes, clearly understanding Amon "The black one is from your Demonic side, it's the Unholy Element, the other is the Blood Element from your Draconic side. Quite a particular element for a Dragon as well, it's also how we know what kind of Dragon you've inherited from because they were the only Dragon's with blood."
Amon showed a bewildered face "Dragons don't have blood?"
"Yep. They have Magic running through their bodies instead. The Dragons you've inherited from were the Strongest and Biggest ones and all the magic power in the world couldn't sustain them, so they made themselves produce blood instead. Do you have any guesses on what Dragon it could be?" Sasha looked playfully at Amon, earning her a glare off of Lilith.
Amon tossed an annoyed glare at Sasha "Just tell me, will you?" Amon disliked all this dancing around the subject.
"Tut tut tut. You need to learn some patience, Amon. I'll tell you after the training tomorrow, we have to do all the other Affinities now." Sasha spoke like some kind of villain in a mock jest.
Amon rolled his eyes, letting out something akin to the mixture of a grunt and a growl and then moved out of the way for Michael to have his turn. Amon sat down on the sofa nearest to him and Lilith came over to sit with him.
As Amon thought she was gonna sit next to him, she plopped herself onto his lap. Shocked, Amon looked at Lilith "You okay, Lilith?"
Lilith looked up at him with her beautiful green eyes and nodded her head "Yeah, I'm fine. I just wanted to sit here...Do you want me to move?" Lilith was blushing like a tomato as she looked into Amon's eyes.
'Could I call myself a man if I told you to move?!'
"No, it's fine, you can stay there, Lilith." Amon smiled reassuringly at the now satisfied Lilith. Fae and Julia, who were sitting on another sofa, were looking over at Lilith sitting on Amon's lap and they could realize how Amon was so gentle around Lilith, compared to when he was on the arena earlier. The difference was like Heaven and Earth.
Fae knew how he was on the stage because she wasn't really late, she was just scouting out the competition before she came into the light herself. She was hiding in the crowd all along.

Everyone looked over to Michael who was now putting his finger on the plate, his colors were a pure white, a light green and a grey like Amon's. "Another Physics Affinity!?" Sasha was shocked. Physics Affinities were supposed to be rare according to the Database from the alien ship but two of them had appeared in front of her today.
Michael seemed pleasantly surprised and looked at Amon, as if saying 'Look at this, turns out I'm just as good as you.' in a jokey kind of way. Amon shook his head with a smile on his face as Sasha spoke up again.
"Inertia and Velocity, perfect for you. If I believed in a higher power, I'd say they purposely gave you these powers. Whatever...Your other affinities are Holy and Metal...bloody overpowered Hybrids..." Sasha hurried Michael out of the way as Lilith got up off of Amon and walked over to the plate.
After putting her hand on the plate, 3 colors showed up nearly causing Sasha to faint from the thought she had a physics affinity.
But she calmed down after seeing the colors. There was Black, Yellow, and Pink, the last one surprising Sasha before she smiled knowingly at her. "Your affinities are Unholy, Lightning and Lust."
Lilith walked back over to Amon and sat back down on his lap again. Amon had to use his superior control over his body to not embarrass himself as he felt her body lean against his showing how soft her...curves were. Lilith seemed to know what she was doing because she giggled at Amon shuffling around.
Julia shook her head at Lilith's unique kind of flirting and got up to have her own affinities checked. Like everyone else so far, 3 colors appeared when he finger touched the plate. The colors were an orange that looked like it was mixed with yellow and red, a light blue and a dark green. Sasha's eyes went wide as she looked at the affinities.
"As expected from the Phoenix Bloodline holder. All-Fire Affinity, All-Ice Affinity, and Nature Affinity." Amon raised his eyebrows at what Sasha said. If what she said was 100% accurate, Julia should have access to an amazing amount of fire and ice-based abilities.
Julia reared her head up, like an actual proud-phoenix and walked back over to where she came from. Fae was ready and waiting for her turn and was soon at the plate with her finger on it, causing colors to appear onto the plate, like magic.
Dark blue, brown and light green were the colors that appeared on the plate. "All-Water Affinity, Earth Affinity, and Wind Affinity. Befitting of the Black Tortoise bloodline holder." Was all Sasha said, seemingly numb to the monstrous talents of the 4 youths in front of her.
Sasha stood up, picking up the plate from the table after she downloaded the information from it into the tablet and disconnected the wire connecting the two. She turned to the five people in front of her and spoke "Go find your rooms, they were made with your specific--" She looked at Amon's massive body "--differences in mind." and after saying that, she distributed keys between the five of them and then left the building.
Amon looked at the others sitting down and thought of something "Do you guys have cultivation methods as well?" this had been bugging him for a while. Michael and the others all nodded, causing Amon to become more confused. What are the chances of 5 people all getting cultivation methods from their boons?

As if seeing his confusion, Julia spoke up to clear things for him "My family was one of the families that knew about the coming change, and in our preparation we found, via the alien database, all Bloodline Warriors gain a cultivation method from one of their boons."
Hearing Julia's explanation, Amon finally understood. Michael asked a question of his own after hearing what Julia said "So do you get a random method or is it tailored to your bloodline?" his question caused Julia to hesitate before answering.
"You will always get a method that suits you perfectly but the strength can vary massively. You can get a really strong method that suits you, or a really weak one. You should know which one you got just by looking at its description. So did you guys get weak ones or strong ones?" Julia's question may have seemed a bit personal but they were to be a team from now on, so they might as well open up to the others.
Amon, however, grunted in annoyance before saying he'd gotten a strong one. Everyone had a strong one in the end, which was to be expected because of their strong bloodlines and strengths.
Amon, having his answer, excused himself to go cultivate; he felt another breakthrough coming.
He ran around the house before he found a bed that could hold him. He walked over to the bed and sat cross-legged on it before doing the Breathing Technique.
Like usual, Magic energy rushed to his mouth and nose, filling his body before being dragged to his spine once again. This time it was at the higher part of his spine, around his neck region, meaning this breakthrough was slightly dangerous.
Like before, he pulled the energy around the pearl in his upper spine and started grinding at it. But unlike his previous breakthrough which was quite easy, this one was quite arduous.
It took Amon a few hours to completely crush the pearl and for the Gate to be open. This Gate was called the Gate of Magic and it would baptize the entire body in magic.
As it said, magic power poured out of the Gate and washed every cell in Amon's body. Before this, every cell in Amon's body was a mixture of every kind of magic, sort of like impurities and this meant that his real affinities couldn't live up to their maximum potential.
But right now, this destructive magic power was destroying any kind of magical trace on Amon's cells, leaving space for his affinities to regrow and take up more space. After multiple blasts of this energy and a lot of excruciating pain, Amon's cells only had black, red and gray in them. In all the cells these 3 colors moved about and seemed to be forming into a shape.
After the colors had stopped moving, Amon could see a massive body sized rune made up bit by bit by the cells that had organized themselves in Amon's body.
After seeing this rune, it started turning and Amon watched it as it started to release incredible amounts of energy. But not magic energy, no, it was releasing physical energy, like all the other gates. This was the minor completion stage of the beginner stages of the [Eight Demonic Gates Breathing Technique]. All three of the first gates had connected like some sort of bridge and it somehow multiplied the physical energy it gave out.
This, along with the second draconic wave of energy from the third Gate, purified the body, pushing all the impurities out and making the body vastly stronger so it could hold more magic power.
Amon quickly opened his eyes and rushed to the bathroom and removed his clothes before getting into the shower.
Black, viscous and thick liquid was coming out of Amon's pores by the buckets and Amon could only continuously scrub away at it until it didn't come out anymore. After scrubbing his entire body for about 20 minutes, it all stopped. After scrubbing off what was left, Amon closed his eyes as he looked inside his body.
Everything looked like it was made out of refined metal and crystal. His blood looked like rubies that had been liquefied somehow, his bones looked like pure, black metal and his muscles like pure red, unstoppable and untearable metal cables. The runes on everything in his body looked and felt more strong as well like they'd gone through a massive upgrade. Not that Amon knew what they did yet.
Amon stood under the shower's blasts of hot water feeling the amazing power flowing through every fiber of his body, with a smile on his face. In his current condition he could easily smack Arak into the floor no matter his traction on the ground.
After he finished admiring his powerful body, Amon went back to his bed after drying himself, with only a big towel covering his lower half.
He decided to continue cultivating and did so for a few more hours before getting dressed and going downstairs to eat. But as he was walking down the stairs, he saw Lilith walking upstairs with two plates of food.
When Lilith saw him, she smiled "I figured that we never did get to finish those sandwiches on that day, so I made you another few." Amon smiled at the sentiment and took the plate off her and walked downstairs, telling her he'd eat down here with her. Lilith didn't disagree with him but seemed annoyed they couldn't eat in his room.
As they sat down in the living room, Michael and Julia walked in as well with some food as well and sat down on the sofa next to Lilith and Amon.
Thinking about how there were four of them, 2 girls, 2 boys, Amon couldn't help but worry about how Jax was doing.
'You better be alright, Jax, if you get hurt, I'll kill you, you goddamn bastard...!'
Interrupting him from his sandwich, Michael asked Amon a question "Yo, Amon, I've been wondering to ask. Are you and Lilith together or something?" Michael asked with a teasing tone which caused Lilith to blush so much that it seemed like steam came off of her face, while the question even seemed to delay Amon's brain a little bit.
"Uhhhh..." was all Amon could say as he scratched his head, no sign of the Demonic Youth from the King of the Hill to be seen from his visage at all.
