《Awakening of a Monster》Chapter 8 - End of the Battles and Affinity Test

As soon as Amon got next to Michael, Michael spoke out in admiration. "Wow, you're packing quite a bit of brute strength, eh Amon?" Lilith and Julia nodded in agreement as they looked at the cracked and ruined arena which was now magically repairing itself.
"Well, it is the Dragon's specialty." Julia spoke up with a face that seemed to say that it's to be expected that Amon has a lot of brute strength. Julia was the next to walk up, shocking everyone in the training ground with her beauty.
The first few people to go up were a bunch of pretty boys, mainly going up there in hopes of flirting with Julia but they were thrown off the stage by her pressure and a few fireballs. The rest of the people who came up after the pretty boys actually tried to fight her, but they didn't even last as long as the pretty boys as they were instantly thrown off by fireballs as soon as the fight started.
The end result was that Julia also got into the SS rank training program.
The few people who went up were much more lackluster compared to Michael, Amon, and Julia, most of them getting in the C, B or A training program because they couldn't continue fighting through all 9 people but instead got between 5 and 7 wins. There were also people who couldn't get past 1 win and were put in the lowest class and the next worse were the people who could only get 4 or fewer wins, putting them in the lower-ranked classes and these people made up the majority.
After waiting a while, Lilith decided to go up there. Amon was worried but he knew he couldn't always protect her, so he smiled to reassure and support her but he secretly promised himself he'd break anyone who actually hurt her.
When Lilith was on the stage, a tall, lanky boy walked onto the stage, he seemed like he was only skin and bones with no muscle. His most interesting feature, however, was that his eyes were literal flames, like a lich or something.
"Okay...ready...FIGHT!" Sasha's voice was slightly hoarse after saying 'FIGHT' so much but she still did her job, occasionally having to gulp down massive amounts of water to soothe her throat.
The undead looking guy ran at Lilith with surprising speed and appeared in front of her instantly, rearing his fist back, showing no hesitation that he was about to hit a timid girl like Lilith. Lilith just stood there, with no expression on her face, waiting for the fist to hit her chest.
Amon looked at the arena with his eyes going cold, he thought that Lilith was scared and he was prepared to kick the shit out of that lanky bastard if she was really hurt by him.
But Amon suddenly paused as he watched the fist go straight through her. Not in the gorey, blood everywhere kind of fist through the chest but more like a fist through a ghosts chest. The lanky guy seemed just as shocked as Amon and everyone else, he tried to pull his fist back but it was stuck.
At first, when his fist went through Lilith's chest, it felt like a liquid but now it felt like concrete had set around his hand.

Lilith reared back her own fist and with a cute looking worked up face, she threw it at the lanky guy's jaw. When the fist hit, the lanky guy dropped to the floor shocking everyone in the training ground. Only one person was willing to talk.
"HAHAHAHA! WELL DONE, LILITH!" Amon's bass-filled voice boomed out in laughter as he watched Lilith defeat her opponent causing Lilith to blush furiously but she still had a small smile on her face, looking very pleased with everything.
This was how Lilith's fights went from then on, nobody could seem to hurt her. This was all attributed to her slime bloodline, her body was completely under her control and she could change certain parts into slime to avoid the attack.
But this showed her superb control over it because she'd had to track where the attack would land and then turn only that part to slime, showing she had a special kind of talent and amazing reaction speed.
After Lilith, it was back to the lackluster fights again. But these people were definitely better than the people earlier, the majority of people got into the A training program, with a few S training programmers.
Before long, most people had been sorted into their classes, only Amon, Michael, Lilith and Julia were in the SS class. But before, Sasha could speak to finish it all, she heard an urgent voice "Wait a minute! I'm sorry I'm late!" the voice was quite high-pitched and before long, a dark blue haired and blue eyed girl was up on stage.
Sasha looked shocked someone had the gall to be late on such an important day but she shrugged her shoulders and quickly picked an opponent for the girl seeing as most people were still tired from their other matches, so she picked some people from the start, who should have recovered.
The first person to go up was the Orc who Michael first fought against. He'd been fully healed up somehow and was back in top condition.
Michael and Amon couldn't stop a smile from appearing on their faces; what was it with this guy and getting put up against strong hybrids.
That girl's power was unmistakable to Michael, Julia, and Amon, it was the final part of their group; the Black Tortoise.
The Orc rushed up to the girl as soon as it could, throwing a punch at the girls head. Just like Lilith, the girl didn't move nor show any expression to the big fist flying at her head. She just stood there.
Before long, the fist hit the girls head, but before the Orc could roar in celebration, he realized his fist hurt like he was still a normal human and he'd hit a metal wall. The girl's forehead had started glowing with a mixture of blue and black. And before the Orc knew it, he'd been thrown away by a mysterious force and off of the arena stage.
Everyone was shocked by what just happened but mostly, they were confused, what were those blue and black glowing lights on that girl? Some people thought that the Orc just wasn't strong enough, so some other big brutes went onto the stage to try their luck.
Long story short; they didn't fare any better than the Orc.
The girl seemed to have an absolute defense and the most effective counterattack which caused everyone who hit her to get thrown away. Michael, Lilith, and Julia had to hold Amon back as his competitive nature compelled him to try and break that defense.

Luckily they held him off and the girl got 9 wins easily, becoming the 5th member of the SS training program. Everyone shivered when they thought about the people in the SS class; An Untouchable Speedster, an Unstoppable Demon, a Peerless Mage, Someone practically Ethereal, and Someone with an Absolute Defence.
Sasha walked forward to the middle of the Arena as she did before when she explained things. "Okay, now everyone." her voice seemed amplified by something as she continued to speak "Split into your training programs and a Teacher will come over to take you to your affinity testing. SS class, come with me~" Sasha pointed over at Amon's group and motioned for them to come over. She seemed excited for some reason.
As they walked over, the blue-haired girl came over to them. She also sensed what they were and she seemed quite excited as she started speaking to Julia and Lilith, while Michael occasionally chimed in, Amon purposely blocked out her voice as he was thinking.
'Affinity? Hmm, could be interesting. It feels like it should be something that could prove my perfection even further.'
Amon froze for a second before carrying on. He wondered why he'd said that last bit? Amon figured that he must have because, frankly, he really was starting to think his hybrid combination was perfect.
Despite not knowing what Amon was thinking, Lilith still seemed to help him ignore the blue haired girl, who was called Fae, by always stepping in for him when Fae asked him questions. She also seemed to be doing it for her own selfish reasons but it benefited both of them, so Amon didn't mind.
By now they were walking with Sasha who was explaining things to them. "This SS training program is the Physiques equivalent to the Hero Program. Just in case you didn't know, the world's cruel. Us Bloodline Warriors are discriminated against because we have some inhuman blood and because some of the more powerful bloodlines are linked to some...less than savory events. Like yours Amon." Sasha's words made Amon freeze before he asked her why, she replied with a worn out voice "We had your bloodline screened, we know what both of you bloodlines are and they're both considered quite, well, evil."
Amon smirked, pretty much already knowing this from the fact his instincts are always pointing him to fight and destroy. Sasha rolled her eyes at his smirk "I'll tell you more about it when we're on our own. It's very sensitive information."
Amon nodded understandingly as they carried on walking. Sasha carried on with her previous explanation "Us Bloodline Warriors have advantages over Class and Ability users. One of them being our superior bodies and affinities. In those fights we were testing your fighting skills and your constitutions, now we're going to test your affinities."
As they continued walking, Sasha quickly turned around with an expression on her face that seemed like she'd just remembered something "Oh, and we're not the same company as Genesis, they're an exclusively Class and Ability User organization. We're called Terminus, the Bloodline Association."
Amon walked closer to Sasha and looked at her curiously "Why do you people seem to know so much about all this already? It's only been 2 weeks since the Change." Sasha heard the suspicion in his voice, so she tried to answer as quickly as possible to eliminate any feelings of unease "Because we've known the change was going to happen for years. We knew which ones of us would change into Bloodline Warriors and which ones would gain Classes and Abilities."
Michael stepped forward as well, asking his own question "How did you find out then?"
"Before the Galactic Empire decided to take us into its system, they had to check if we were ready. Do you think thousands of spaceships flying around the Earth would go undetected by us? Ha! Those arrogant bastards thought we wouldn't be able to see them, but we did, we saw all of them and it blew our bloody minds." Sasha seemed angry and then went back to reminiscing.
"One of their ships crashed, mostly because of us shooting at it, but also because it's engines were completely torn up by something. The ship was mostly intact, the creatures onboard we dead, but the computers, the information banks were still there!" She seemed to be reliving her excitement from back then as she spoke.
After her excitement died down, she carried on "They had some kind of internet on the ship and we easily accessed it, we found out what was going to happen, how to identify who was getting what. And we prepared ourselves. A lot of the other stuff after that doesn't matter." Towards the end, Sasha seemed slightly sad but she shrugged it off when they reached a building.
The building looked slightly like a mansion in size and Sasha spread her arms out, not looking sad anymore, as she turned around to look at the five following her "This is your new home, for all 5 of you are going to be living together!" she seemed to be wanting to get a reaction from them but after seeing them only nod, she seemed to deflate and walked into the house sulking.
When they got into the house, Sasha took them to the living room. It was massive, with about 3 seated sofas surrounding a coffee table and a massive flat screen plasma Tv hanging on the wall, it had a few other things around the room but everyone focused on the coffee table where there was a plate of murky looking glass, it had an indentation for a single finger.
"Come over here, this is the Affinity Plate." Sasha walked over to it and connected a tablet she held in her hand to the plate. Instantly information appeared on the tablet, she motioned for someone to come and put their hand on it. Amon walked up to it and put his finger on the plate.
Instantly the murkiness of the plate was replaced by 3 colors, Black, Grey, and Red and Sasha blurted "Oh my god..." out after she saw them.
Two of these affinities were expected but the Grey one. The Grey one was not expected at all.

The yuri/GL Is an extremely slow burn one and the focus is more on the relationship dynamics than romance. =====Author Notes===== This is my first writing attempt, and in the spirit of full disclosure, I am not a native English speaker and I am hoping to use this chance to improve my writing. Constructive criticisms are always welcome. I have a full-time job but I would try to keep the releases consistent.
