I am going to make this a very fun story this time around, but first, read the synopsis.
[Note: The Eternal Lion is NOT the protagonist of the story.]
The Eternal Lion, Conqueror of the 98th floor, Lord of Destruction watched in horror as his companions were slain, one by one, by. Humanity had made a fundamental mistake in assumption from the beginning, for this was no fair trial.
His rage knew no bounds, but alas it was to no avail. The only reason he still drew breath was because of a being stronger than even God offering him his twisted pity, making him watch as his companions, his sworn comrades, were slain one by one in front of him as a punishment for daring to challenge Him.
He only saw one final glimmer of hope to overturn this accursed outcome, which lay in the reward for completing the hidden piece on the 98th floor.
[The Inheritance]
Allow your knowledge and experience to flow back in the river of time, back to the beginning of the Primordial Tower's awakening on Earth. Entrust the fate of humanity to one of your kind.
Cost of Activation: Erasure of existence from the river of time.
To think that all his efforts would only lead to becoming a stepping stone for another. With a final roar in defiance, he activated the skill.
"Let the roar of the eternal lion tear through the boundaries of time."
Get ready for one hell of an adventure. Now do it all over again!
Follow Noah Smith's journey, a young man struggling to find a job in a sluggish economy, as his life gets overturned and the fate of the world is suddenly thrust upon his shoulders! One opportunity to change his very perception of reality, will Noah rise to the occasion and give Earth the savior it needs, or will he watch from the sidelines as it heads to damnation?

Sometimes, an ant can see what the mighty lion, in hubris, overlook.
Author's Note: This is a rewrite of what was originally a popular story with 1,000 followers. I was a new author back then, and I got overwhelmed by reader expectations, and criticism, and the story lost its way. Boy, am I happy to say that I am excited as heck for this rewrite, let's see where this goes!
Seven Chapters Weekly// For the First Month.
Okay, so this time Noah's not going to be the Xianxia boy wonder, but just a regular guy.
We'll speed up the first floor this time, and Noah's an adult so he'll act like it- which will only make the banter funnier. I often got uncomfortable before because it felt like Liam was bullying a small kid, and it felt out of place. Easier to banter with adults, and a lot of the dialogue is going to be reworked.
First floor is gonna be similar, but it'll be over after the first month. There will be more characters this time around, and the Eternal Lion won't disappear in the night shift. There will be interaction, betrayal, but the tone is going to be a bit on the lighter side, and Noah will only kill in self defence, and he won't run from a fight.
Initially he'll be a bit skittish, but this is a story of man lacking purpose and then suddenly receiving the greatest purpose possible, so his motivations are rational.
There will be a lot of hidden mechanics on the floor this time, and a lot more enemy archetypes to keep things fun.
Okay, that's a lot.
RR takes up to 48 hours for approval but I'll be submitting the story tonight so stay tuned :)
