That’s how long my Artifact experiment to create a clock tells me I’ve been living in this world.
The knowledge that you are no longer mortal, that time is a constraint that doesn’t exist except in theory…
It’s hard.
Very hard.
Rustle.
I agree, this is probably the single most defining reason I research.
Can you imagine in a thousand years?
A hundred thousand?
Millions?
What the utter ever loving Godly Gardener’s nutsack will I do with so much time.
I mean, think about it.
There are in broad terms a finite amount of things to learn.
Rustllllllllllleeee!
Your right, right, you are.
This is just depression brought on by a recent incident.
When the young man, Flicker, showed up screaming he was going to free his sister from our ‘vile’ and ‘corrupt’ influence it was amusing.
When he tore up my Garden with his hired thugs and glyphed out lackeys, the humor wasn’t there anymore.
He couldn’t even be bothered to ask his own sister if she even wanted to leave.
As if the concerns of the individual being ‘saved’ mean nothing?
Poor deluded fool.
What I give, I can take.
Did he think his power was bestowed by some Divine mandate?
Did the stupid creature think that it was his right?
No one comes into my Garden, wrecks it, and leaves.
Even now he quivers on the bridge between life and death.
Rustle.
Mercy to this clown?
Why?
Rustleee.
Hmph.
Fine then, since his sister has requested it alongside my two favorite foxes.
I will grant mercy.
Oh, yes.
Mercy, will I grant.

Tribulation of the Martyr has been cast. May the Divine have mercy on the target's soul.
I will not slay him, no, I will Bless him and Enchant him.
Am I not, merciful?
He will thirst, yet never die.
Hunger, yet never feed.
Live, yet never die.
Enemies cannot drown him in a sea of flame, or cook him in a vat of lightning.
His flesh will never falter.
Immortality indeed, true Mercy for a price.
All for the small, small price…
Of the Itch.
Perhaps, in a thousand thousand years, when my Garden has grown greater than before, and my anger has cooled…
Then.
I might be truly merciful.
Or not.

The human world is aflame with war. Nations clash with their neighbours, while the Kelvon Empire, bulwark of the human world, stands on the brink of civil war. The plans of the enemies of mankind to destroy human civilisation, to restore their own mastery of the world, are well on the way to success. Even while her country strives to avoid conquest and defeat at the hands of their traditional enemies the Carrowmen, therefore, Princess Ardria journeys to Carrow to meet with the enemy King in an almost hopeless attempt to persuade him of the truth. All her hopes rest on the assumption that he in an unwitting dupe of the true enemy, but lurking at the back of her mind is the fear that he may be all too aware of the truth, that he may have sold out humanity for the promise of personal power. If this is true, then all that awaits her at the end of her journey through fear and danger is imprisonment and the life of a hostage to be used against her father, King Leothan. The Brigadier would help her if he could, but he and Malone, his former batman, are far away, each having their own missions to try and ensure the survival of human civilisation. Having completed his latest task, the Brigadier must race to join her, to assist and protect her, but will he reach her before she arrives at the palace of the enemy King? And will the Princess still have a country to be Princess of by the time she arrives there? After Z
The signs were all there. A mysterious fever spreading in the wake of the pandemic. Increasing incidents of unrest with surprisingly little coverage by the media. Breakdowns in basic services. Nick had thought for years that total social collapse would come in his lifetime – he just never expected that collapse to come from the unquiet dead. As soon as he was sure enough that the potential danger outweighed the awkwardness of admitting that yes, the dead were rising, Nick grabbed his bug out bag and bugged out. It felt, at times, that the zombie movies, comics, and games he’d grown up with had been preparing for this moment. And Nick was right. But also very very wrong. After Z is an apocalyptic occult interactive serial about survivors hiding from the dead in a forest preserve. A new chapter is posted every week, and every week supporters vote on which way the story flows. This story will be added to daily until it's caught up with its current state elsewhere; if you don't want to wait you can read ahead on my blog.

Will this newfound power breed cruelty or compassion?Follow his struggle and journey, as he grabs hold of whatever he can only to see another day and another fight. Human nature and morals will be put to the test with each passing moment. When the horrors of the imagination become all too real, the feeble minds of men and women alike are brought to the brink of insanity. If we are the product of our environment and culture, what sort of people will be born of a place filled with violence, nightmares, and horror? Forced to fight for his life, Leo must remain sane. And so does the people around him, if he is ever to survive. Author's note:This is an old version that has been completely dropped in favor of a new and better version. I have learned a lot from written this instance, but I believe the work has been subpar and I can do much better with the story and the premise I have devised. I will be posting the new version on a different page.
