《Different World along with One Piece System》Chapter 11- The second time he's mentioned

Further away from Rabbit Inn, there were two men with hoods over their heads flying high. Only being able to make out there red and blue eyes.
“Brother Qin, tell me my eyes weren’t playing tricks on me?” The red eye’d man asked.
Replying, the blue eye’d man said, “How can you say that Brother Zen, I ask just about to ask you the same thing. Since you’ve seen it as well, i’m sure my eyes aren’t playing tricks on me.”
“A mortal… with the ability to kill a sage. This is simply unheard of. You think he’ll be able to handle a master sage?”
“No way, from that fight his body could barely take one hit. He is still a mortal, so it’s possible to kill him.”
In the martial arts world, there are seven realms one must go through before they can be considered a top expert. Everyone starts out at the first realm, but only the chosen ones have the strength to break past the first level. Each realm has three levels associated with it. Low, middle, and high.
The seven realms are as followed, Mortal, Entry, Disciple, Monk, Sage, Master Sage, and Emperor. Although martial artist have close to an immortal lifespan, they don’t live forever. The only ones who do are Immortals, which would be the eighth realm in the world. However, breaking into the Immortal realm is a dream, not everyone can do it. It’s a fact as the amount of Immortals in this world totals six.
There were seven Immortals before, but one disappeared from this world. It was said that breaking past through past an Immortal one would ascend to godhood. No one even dreams of that, they gave up that childish dream long ago. Just trying to become an Immortal was difficult enough, they would settle down with being crowned as an Emperor.
In cultivation, jumping from one realm to another is hard, but well worth it. If a Sage can live for five hundred years, then a Master Sage can live for eight hundred. Although it’s just one realm of difference, they are worlds apart. A Master Sage gains the ability to create their own martial skills, as well as fly. Just from being a low ranked Master Sage, compared to a high ranked Sage their strength is at least three times that!
As one breaks through to a higher realm, their strength continues to multiple. So when he said that Yan D. Yu couldn’t fight a Master Sage, he wasn’t lying. If he couldn’t take a hit from a low ranked Sage, there was no way that he could fight against a low ranked Master Sage. He didn’t dare to believe in such thoughts.
If they knew that Yan D. Yu was harmed because he thought he wouldn’t be hurt, they would surely cough blood.
These two weren’t the only ones who were having such thoughts. All of the cultivators were having similar thoughts about Yan D. Yu’s strength.
As Yan D. Yu was happily finishing up his fourth plate of food, Yu Ying came over to him.
“Yan D. Yu, I must thank you once again for saving me.”
Yan D. Yu licked his fingers. “It wasn’t much.”
“But weren’t you hurt? Surely you need to rest for a day or two for you to recover. You can even stay as long as you want for free!”
Yan D. Yu shook his head. Placing his orange hat on his head, he stood up. “I’m already fully recovered. I also can’t stay here, I have things I must do.” Yan D. Yu suddenly thought of something as he closed his eyes.

Opening them, a two white rolls of paper appeared. Yu Ying was surprised at those rolls appearing, but then she realized that Yan D. Yu was a cultivator so naturally he would have a spatial ring.
What Yan D. Yu took out was two vivre cards. It was one of the things he could buy from the Weapons shop. One roll was only worth ten points so he didn’t mind buying two of them. Although it wasn't considered a weapon, the weapon shop sold a few other items that wouldn't be considered weapons either. Biting his thumb, he let his blood drip on the white paper.
The vivre card wasn’t stained red from his blood, it was still white. He handed her the roll. “If you want me in the future, use this to find me. You’ll also know if i’m in any danger. If i’m dying or close to dying it will burn until i’m dead. However if I recover, it will recover the amount of paper that was lost. No matter where I am in the world, this card will allow you to find me.” Handing her the other roll he told her, “Drip your blood on this, it’ll let me know if you’re in danger.”
Yu Ying did exactly as he told her. Watching her blood being absorbed by this paper, she was surprised. She has never seen such an object before, nor has she heard of one. Her husband was a capable man who told her many things, however this was not one of them.
Naturally her husband couldn’t tell her about this since it didn’t exist! She didn’t know that, and Yan D. Yu didn’t plan on telling her.
Grabbing the pen at her side, she also wrote her name on the vivre card as well. She thought that if had others then he might get confused about who is whose. When she gave it back to him, he only smiled.
As he left the inn, he didn’t say anything else to her. If he said goodbye, that would mean they would never meet again. If he told her he would see her again, that would imply he was planning on coming back. He wasn’t to fond of sad partings, thus he said nothing. Fate had a mind of it’s own, whether or not they would meet again was anyone's guess.
Glancing down at the vivre card in his hand, he smiled as he stuffed it in his pocket.
Closing his eyes, he brought five more. Placing them in the opposite pocket, he was set.
Before he started his journey home, he needed to do one more thing. Yan D. Yu walked over to the Merchants guild and stepped inside. The old man was still here, he seemed unhappy though.
“Old man, you’re still around?” Yan D. Yu asked him as he walked over to the counter.
“Brat, you’ve changed your mind? Which is it, my disciple or the sect?” He asked him.
Laughing, Yan D. Yu replied, “Neither, i’ve come to make a purchase.”
“What can I get you?” He asked in a grumpy voice.
It was to be expected as Yan D. Yu once again turned him down.
“I need a spatial ring, you should know how much money I have right?”
This is what Yan D. Yu needed the most right now. Something to hold his things, while not being too heavy and easily accessible. He would have taken the one from the middle aged man, except everything was gone. Forgetting to take it after his death, when he went back outside all the spoils of war were gone.

“Why are you so poor? One silver coin simply isn’t enough for the lowest grade spatial ring, you’ll at least need five silver coins for one. But… if you become my disciple, I can give you one for free.”
Yan D. Yu pulled out a white roll of paper from his pocket. “How about a trade?”
Squinting his eyes, he couldn’t make out what that white roll was. It didn’t seem like anything extraordinary.
“What is it?” The old man asked him.
“A vivre card. It can locate anyone in the world no matter where they are. Also if that person is dying, it will start burning. The closer they are to dying, the faster it burns. How about it, want to trade me for it?” Yan D. Yu asked him as he finished explaining to him about the vivre card.
The old man didn’t believe him, such a treasure didn’t exist! If one did, then all the sects would have some. Being able to tell where their disciples are and their safety were always a Masters worries. Even a parent would want such an item!
Gazing at Yan D. Yu, the look in his eyes told the old man that he wasn’t lying. What he needed most was proof! If this item was real, then it would sell for millions!
“How would I know if what you said was real or not? To me, it seems like an ordinary piece of paper.”
Yan D. Yu thought about it, and agreed. There wasn’t an item like this in the world, so it’s only natural to think he was trying to con the old man. He tore off a small piece and bit his finger drawing blood. He let a drip onto the piece he tore off.
From the time Yan D. Yu first entered this shop, he always had this thought that this old man was strong. To him, having a strong appearance didn’t mean you were strong. The real strong people gave off this air, and the old man continued to emit it.
Yan D. Yu didn’t have any type of air around him, because he wasn’t that strong. At least he wasn’t at that the level where others could tell that he was strong. This old man is different though, he couldn’t hide the fact that he was strong even if he wanted to!
“Alright old man, attack me with your best shot.”
Raising an eyebrow, he wasn’t sure if Yan D. Yu was stupid or crazy. He would not question it though. His hands flowed like water, smooth and fast. He was unleashing his intent to kill Yan D. Yu, as his finger dug into his flesh.
The vivre card in Yan D. Yu’s hand flared up as it started to burn.
Pulling his finger back, he was back acting like normal. “Excellent! It seems what you’ve told me is true.”
Yan D. Yu’s wound started to heal. Getting wounded hurt like hell, but there was no other way for him to provide evidence for the vivre card.
The old man waved his hand, producing a silver ring. He tossed it to Yan D. Yu while Yan D. Yu passed him the rest of the vivre card.
“Sell it in pieces, or as a whole, doesn’t matter. You’ll probably be able to make a lot off of that.”
The old man nodded, but felt bad for Yan D. Yu. Even that spatial ring he gave him wasn’t enough for this vivre card. “Brat, anything in this room you can have for free. Only one though, this stuff isn’t mines.”
Yan D. Yu glanced around, but shook his head. These things here, he didn’t need. “Old man, I want you.” Yan D. Yu told him.
“Sorry, I don’t swing that way.” Flat out rejecting Yan D. Yu, he shook both his hands.
“I don’t swing that way either. Just come join my crew, together we’ll sail the seas, search for treasure, and challenge the world!”
“Blah, not you as well. Everyone is talking about the seven treasures that appeared last night, and even the Alliance is getting involved. You don’t need to get involved as well, the waves that are about to appear is too much for you to handle.” He told Yan D. Yu with an honest heart.
Yan D. Yu sighed, but didn’t give up. “What Alliance? They can’t be that powerful can they? Also, don’t you have the urge to search for those seven treasures?”
“As much as I am tempted on searching for them, I cannot. I’m bound here for a few months, and even if I leave now, it won’t do much. It’s a pity, everyone feels they were able to gain one of those mysterious fruits, they have a chance to become Immortal. Thanks to that, cultivators have been running wild breaking the contract made by the Alliance. However, if you were to join in search of that treasure, your days are numbered. The Alliance just passed down a strict order to kill anyone who kills a mortal, or opposes them. Trying to gain one of those treasures, is the same as saying you oppose their rule. Thus, you will be put on their list.” He explained to Yan D. Yu.
“Old man, how do you know they were fruits? Also, how do you know about the orders that were just passed down? You can’t be one of their members can you?”
Laughing, he replied, “I have a few friends that owe me a favor or two. Anyone who has strength of a Master Sage could make out what those treasures were. It doesn’t take a genius to look at it and see it’s a fruit. They weren’t normal, they were weirdly shaped and had different colors.”
‘Devil Fruit? How could they appear here? Aren’t I the only one able to have them?’ Yan D. Yu thought. Just from how the way the old man described those fruit, he instantly knew that they were Devil Fruits.
Seeing Yan D. Yu lost in thought, he knew that he realized just how out of reach it was for him to obtain one of those treasures. “Just give it up, change your goal. You're still young and a mortal, you should live your life out happily.”
Yan D. Yu sighed, he grabbed a random book off of the shelf. “I’ve had this goal since I was young gramps, you wouldn’t understand what it means to me. What the people before me couldn’t complete, I will. Changing my goal is the same as saying kill yourself. For me, this is my life. I won’t give it up for anyone.”
Seeing Yan D. Yu so passionate about his goal, it reminded him of someone he hasn’t seen in a long time. Yan D. Yu never explained what his goal in life was. To him, it didn’t seem like Yan D. Yu wanted to become an Immortal, or even an Emperor.
The book was held by Yan D. Yu as he started walking towards the door. “Wealth, Fame, Power. This man acquired everything the world had to offer. Even during his death, everyone was moved by what he said. Giving a speech that started the great change in the world. Wanna know what he said before his dead? My fortune is yours for the taking… but you’ll have to find it first! I left everything I own in One Piece! That sentence moved the world, enticing many to search for his treasure. He was the man crowned by the world as King of Pirates! Gol D. Roger. What others couldn’t find, what they couldn’t do, I Yan D. Yu will do!” He spoke in a proud tone as he walked closer towards the door. Placing the vivre card that he dropped his blood on earlier on a chest, he walked out of the door.
Those words hit the old man in a soft spot. Once again, he was reminded of someone who he once met. This was the second person who mentioned Gol D. Roger. His first time hearing it, he thought that Gol D. Roger was the world's greatest cultivator. When he heard that he was a pirate, he doubted such a figure ever existed.
Everyone knew that the pirates in this world hardly amounted to much. If such a great pirate was out there, he should have definitely heard his name.
Now, years later another person appeared mentioning Gol D. Roger. That man years ago told him that if he didn’t believe he would see it with his own eyes before he died. A person that would carry on the torch, would appear. The age of pirating was near, so it was best if he sat down and enjoyed the ride. If he didn’t, he would miss something great.
He only happened to come across that man once, but the way he talked was different. Like he didn’t belong here, he spoke about things as if he already knew what would happen.
Naturally years have past and what that man said never came true, but now this old man started to believe him.
“Pirates huh?”
His body blurred as he appeared at the entrance. Grabbing the vivre card on the chest, he opened the door. “Brat, wait!” He shouted at Yan D. Yu who was walking towards the gate.
Hearing the old man calling him, he turned around. The old man tossed him a black book, then went back inside.
Inside the building, the old man started laughing. ‘A mortal who can skill a Sage. If he cultivates, I wonder what would happen! Now that would be a sight for my eyes.’

Paladin
When the first derelict alien spacecraft fell to Earth, humanity took what was found in it and propelled themselves to new heights. In their new Golden Age, humanity developed technology that they had only dreamed about. The following years saw hundreds more ships crash into the planet, spurring even greater technological leaps. An unassuming spacecraft, one of the dozens that fell yearly, descended on Siberia in 2021. The world took no particular notice of it. However, this one contained something beyond the miraculous technology that had made humans so prosperous. Three years later, in a top-secret underground facility in eastern Colorado, the automated construction of an army of Paladin Mobile Infantry Suits was underway. With this new, state-of-the-art weaponry, the military would turn the tide against the alien incursion that was consuming the planet. Humanity fell before that could happen. Sam was an engineer responsible for overseeing the facility. Now alone, he lives in utter boredom and near insanity, his only company the base’s pseudo AI and an army of empty Paladins. With the world gone to hell around him, and the things that caused it still living above, he decides that he is much better off staying exactly where he is. Unfortunately for him, that is no longer an option. This is the first novel I've written. The first fifteen or so chapters are going to be a little slower. I want there to be time to get to know the characters before they start blowing stuff up. Also, though the MC will be strong relative to the world, he won't be OP, and won't win every fight. Not every fight will be physical either. Currently, I'm aiming for something like 5 fairly short chapters a week, after the introduction part is done, but we'll see how that goes. Thanks for reading, and please let me know if I've made mistakes!

Alternate titles: - Five, Twenty-Three, Twenty-Nine Years - 5, 23, 29 "Dad? I think I got a really bad fever, why do I still feel fine?" "It feels cold..." Five years ago, Owen became a Court Wizard in search of his father who was lost to the unknown three years prior. But that wasn't the beginning of the story. Maybe it began twenty-three years ago when Ronald Bell and Joshua Ruze saved the Illyer family. Or perhaps, it all started twenty-nine years ago, when Ronald, the son of the wealthiest merchant, became a Court Wizard. Well, it doesn't matter anymore, for the story five, twenty-three, and twenty-nine years ago shall now meet its end. 2nd book written in the Wizards of the Otherworldly series. Read Wizards of the Otherworldly Court: Alicia first. This story is split into two 'Collections,' Ronald's Collection and Owen's Collection, each centering around those Court Wizards. Crossposted with WordPress site, Wattpad, Sufficient Velocity, and Rainobu. Wizards of the Otherworldly Court is a fantasy story about the Otherworldly Court, an inter-dimensional (or world-hopping, you get the idea) organization made up of people of all ages, gender, and race from many parallel or different worlds. They are granted elemental-like magic powers and called themselves 'Court Wizards'. They are tasked to watch over the many worlds they come across and step into these worlds on 'missions' to preserve the balance, life, order, anything to make said worlds better places in the shadows but may reveal themselves if necessary. However, these missions may partially or even fully oppose their nature, personal interests, and ideals. Yet, most of the Court Wizards are aware and willing to complete even the worst missions that would shatter their true selves that they will never cast aside regardless, either growing or regressing because of it. Basically, it's isekai to multiple worlds but each book after Wizards of the Otherworldly Court: Alicia focuses primarily on one world while also discussing its lore in detail. Book Alicia is the introduction containing the essential worldbuilding of the Otherworldly Court universe you need to know while shoving in as many characters and worlds as I can. Also, each book will have a different main character, sometimes more than one in a single book, like Jojo.
