Chapter 35.1: Filthy Liar

In life problems sometimes did not have easy solutions. No matter what someone might do, there would be a lack of time or resources to allow for the best and easiest end to their current dilemma. That lack, the simple disallowance of a rapid and easy end to a difficult situation could cause frustration or even despair. Scott, did not currently face such an unfortunate situation. In fact, it was the opposite.

American currency flew into the air accompanied by the squeal of an overly excited fox girl. “So much, money!”

She hugged a wad of cash tightly to her chest and began to roll around like an idiot. “Money, money, money!”

Scott laughed at Ashton’s antics as the girl clutched an armful of cash to her chest and rolled around on the roof top. Apparently, money really did make her happy. It had taken most of the day to figure out a way to force open the safe. It was well constructed, and had denied them the sweet, sweet, loot they so richly desired.

“Has money always made you that happy?” asked Scott.

She stopped rolling around and looked at him. “Honestly?”

“No, tell me a dirty lie.” said Scott with an amused smile

She chuckled a little then sat up. She still clutched the money to her chest. “I don’t know. I’ve always liked money, but I never rolled around with it on a rooftop before.”

“I must look like an idiot.” She said, her cheeks starting to redden.

“Yeah.” he said before granting her a nod.

Her nostrils flared a little and she fought down a laugh. “Gee, make a girl feel special.”

“I charge by the hour for that.” said Scott.

She barked out a little laugh that she could not control. “Stop picking on me. You know I’m sensitive and shy.”

“Is that why you’re trying to breast feed Ben Franklin?” Scott glanced at the smugly smiling man’s picture on the money. It was like he knew he was worth a modest apartment’s rent all on his own.

“Jealous?” she said coyly.

“A little.” he said simply.

She blinked. Had he just said that? “Scott…?”

He looked away for a moment then closed his eyes. “I shouldn’t have said that.”

Ashton leaned forward and let the money drop to the rooftop. “Hey, I don’t mind.”

“It’s… I don’t know.” Scott shook his head. His sudden moodiness had changed the atmosphere in an instance.

She scooted over and sat next to him. “Talk to me?”

“What’s to talk about?” asked Scott softly.

Ashton leaned against him then placed her head on his shoulder. “You always do that.”

Scott nodded. He knew it.

She sighed. “This would have been so much easier if we were just friends with benefits or something.”

Scott snorted, but then slipped his arm around her waist. “I’m not blind Ashton. I just don’t want to hurt anyone.”

She growled a little then bit him on the shoulder. The force of the bite might have drawn blood if he was anyone else.

“Hey! What the hell!”

“Who the hell do you think you are?” she asked him in a fiery tone. Her eyes blazed with feminine indignation, and her pouty lips had formed into an angry frown.

“Wha-?” he asked, wide-eyed.

She pushed at him and he was so surprised that he actually fell over instead of resisting. Ashton moved quickly and straddled his waist. “Do I look like a child to you?”

Scott just stared at her. Where was this coming from?

“I’m more than capable of making my own decisions! If I want you to hurt me, I’ll damned well let you.” She said before taking a breath and placing her hands on his chest as though she intended to hold him down.

“Ashton… What?” he asked intelligently. How had things turned into this?

“You want to know what hurts? Do you?” she asked him, her breath becoming more rapid.

“Sure…?”

She closed her eyes then sighed. “I was engaged. I had met someone who I wanted to spend my life with. That bastard slept around on me and then came home to me like nothing had happened.”

“Yes, so it wouldn’t be right to…” began Scott.

She slapped him on the chest. “Quiet! I’m story-telling.”

The slap did not hurt in the slightest, but her strange mannerisms caused him to quiet down anyway. This was obviously important to her.

“He would fuck some other woman behind my back, and then tell me that I was the love of his life. That piece of shit took money out of our joint account and bought gifts for some other woman.” She squeezed him with her thighs and leaned down toward him. “That hurts.”

“My family tried to tell me that he was garbage, and I distanced myself from them for his sake. Hell, he had to work late once on my birthday and now I wonder if… if…”

Ashton closed her eyes and her body started to shake gently. Scott could see tears begin to well up as whatever memories she currently relived overtook her senses.

Her eye lids opened slightly and she sighed. “I just… Don’t tell me that you’d hurt me. You’re not like that at all.”

Scott was not good with this sort of thing. He could barely deal with his own shit most of the time, but even someone as emotionally stunted and raw as he was could see when someone needed a little human comfort. He reached up to wrap his arms around her, to grant her a small bit of comfort. As fate would have it, however, she rose up just as he began his attempt.

He had intended only to embrace her but his hands missed the mark and continued to move inward. Instead of a friendly hug, he ended up clasping something that he had not intended in the slightest.

Ashton blinked. She looked down at his hands clasped to her breasts then bit her lower lip a little.

Scott swallowed hard and started to take his hands away, but hers rose up and kept them there. “Ashton…. I didn’t mean…”

She shook her head. “Don’t. Please.” Her fox ears began to drop back, and her gaze became slightly clouded.

His eyebrows pressed together and he looked away. “This isn’t right.”

She closed her eyes again and this time the tears did fall. “I don’t care.”

“You deserve better than to be some man’s side-chick, dammit!” snapped Scott with more heat than he realized that he felt. Ashton was a wonderful girl.

“You think I don’t know that!” she shouted at him. “You think it doesn’t kill me that I’m not the one who you take to your room at night? Every time I see Sonja wearing one of your shirts and nothing else it makes me feel like a damned idiot!”

“We barely even have a relationship like that.” said Scott quietly.

Ashton’s body bucked a little. She felt a sad little spasm in her abdomen upon hearing confirmation of what she had known in her heart all along. “Why not. You’d have to be blind not to know how she feels about you.”

“I don’t want to hurt her, either.” he said gently.

“How fucking gallant…” she said softly.

“That… That’s not why.” he replied, his eyes closed.

“Is it what happened with your sister?” she asked.

His only response was the sudden outpouring of tears that slid from his eyes and down along his temples. That was not a subject that he wanted to discuss. His right eye fluttered open when he felt a soft, warm pressure against his left eye.

“Ashton? What are-?”

She leaned back and placed a finger to his lips. “I’m not your sister. None of us are. We can fight back.”

Scott’s eyes narrowed. He did not want to talk about this. “Get off of me.”

“Massage my breasts.” she said. Her tone was hard, cold. It was not a gentle request but something akin to a demand.

He glared hotly at her. “Stop this shit.”

She slapped him across the face. “Shut up and massage my breasts.”

Scott sat up, dumping her to the ground. “What the hell is wrong with you?”

“I’m not the one with the problem!” she snapped before locking her legs around his waist and rising up to look him in the eye. “You’re gonna fuck me. Right here. Right now.”

“The hell I am! Get ahold of yourself woman.”

“I’m not your sister.” she said in that cold, angry, tone. Scott tried to stand up so he could end this insanity, but his legs refused to work.

Ashton gripped the collar of his t-shirt while looking him in the eyes. She casually cut into it with her overly-sharp fingernails then tore it down the middle. “This is happening.”

“Stop this.” said Scott quietly.

“Shut up and kiss me.” she said.

Scott snorted at her and refused to move. Ashton reached up, clasped the back of his head, then leaned forward and kissed him firmly on the lips. It started out as an angry, severe, sensation but swiftly dissolved into a more sensual caress. Her tongue slipped out to playfully tease Scott’s tongue.

The kiss broke off and Ashton pressed her forehead to his. “Do what I tell you. Do you understand?”

Scott’s eyes fluttered and his breathing became erratic for a moment. He started to shake his head, but he found himself nodding instead. What was going on? What was wrong with his body?

“I’m in charge. You can’t hurt me because everything you do to me is something that I told you to do.” she stated firmly.

“Got it.”

“Yes…”

“Take off my shirt.” she said.

Scott hesitated and she punished him with light slap to the face. “Take off my shirt.”

His eyes narrowed, but he complied with her wishes. Her top came off revealing her lacy black bra underneath. Soon, it too was order removed and Scott unsnapped it at her command.

Ashton smiled at him then kissed his lips gently. “Do you want to stop?”

Scott closed his eyes and nodded repeatedly. He desperately wanted to stop this.

“Are you being honest?” she asked him softly.

He turned his head. He could not face her at the moment even with his eyes closed. “Yes.”

She reached down behind her and lightly stroked his crotch. “Your mouth says one thing. This says another.”

“That thing is a filthy liar.” said Scott softly, a little strength returning to his voice. Whatever spell the woman had weaved had begun to weaken.

“If it’s lying, why are you still human?” she asked him curiously.

Scott blinked. Why was he still human? He could have changed shape at any time. How had he not thought of that?

Ashton wrapped her arms around him and pressed her chest warmly against his chest. Her sweet demeanor returned.

She pressed her forehead to his and said, “You’re a good guy, Scott.”

“Ashton…” he said softly.

She leaned back and clasped his ears in her hands then looked into his eyes. “The only person you’re hurting around here is you.”

Scott closed his eyes again and bit his lower lip when he felt her gently kiss his forehead. It was hard to deny what she had said. He could also not deny the truth of his dick. Holding Ashton like this was something that he wanted, even if he did not think it was right.
