《Approaching Ascension (Book 1) [Hiatus before Book 2]》Chapter 078

Fang Hao was observing the changes in his status screen. In the breakthrough, he had gained a whooping 300 skill points, and his realm as a Qi Cultivator was Foundation Establishment. He had also gained roughly 40,000 xp for his breakthrough, comfortably achieving a levelup. He had a status effect of Deficient Marrow (Mild), which he assumed was somehow used to breakthrough. He hoped that it would recover soon naturally without external aid.
'I also got nice stat boosts, biggest gains being in Spirit and Qi. As for the Manuals and Scriptures learned, my new scripture is “Primal Vajra Aura Scripture (*)?” What does the asterisk (*) mean?' Wondered Fang Hao as he touched the display of the Primal Vajra Aura Scripture.
Primal Vajra Aura Scripture (*)
A very powerful Qi Cultivation Scripture with extremely stringent perquisites.
Note: This Manual/Scripture has been derived by the practitioner and skill point gain will be non-standard, as applicable.
'So (+) is for augmentation by insight, and (*) is for self-made stuff I guess. And non-standard skill point gain alright. 300 skill points makes all those talented geniuses with unfathomable comprehension little bitches in front of me! I have a nice fat margin to spend some skill points and upgrade/evolve some of my spells. On the flip-side if I had fucked this up really bad ending up with shit skill point gains. This was definitely a risky, but rewarding decision.' thought Fang Hao as he started observing the Spells and Techniques portion of his Status Screen.
'My Aura Infusion (Perfection) has changed to Primal Thunder Reinforcement (Basic). So my self-made scripture didn't grant new spells per se, but changed the spells granted by Aura Fist Manual; hopefully for the better. If that is the case, highest priority is to upgrade all spells from Aura Fist Manual to Perfection Proficiency. I have almost five hundred skill points and better not be too cheap with it. My home-brew scripture is supposed to have extremely stringent requirements after all.'

Aura Fist Manual had granted him five spells, namely – Aura Infusion, Aura Fist, Phantom Aura Steps, Aura Blast and Aura Sacrifice. Out of these five spells, only Aura Blast and Aura Sacrifice weren't at Perfection proficiency. Aura Infusion had already been augmented to Primal Thunder Reinforcement at (Basic) and he planned to grind Primal Thunder Reinforcement to Master or at least Expert Proficiency before he spent skill points on it.
Fang Hao spent a total of 46 skill points to upgrade Aura Blast and Aura Sacrifice to perfection leaving him with 450 points. Aura Blast wasn't too useful of a spell even at Qi Condensation, it would be almost completely useless at Foundation Establishment. On the other-hand, Aura Sacrifice was a forbidden spell, with potential sue even at Foundation Establishment realm, which he would definitely not use unless he lost all other hope of survival. But he hoped never to be in a situation which would require him to find out how powerful was Aura Sacrifice. Spending around a tenth of his skill points on such skills definitely hurt him, but he wanted to make sure there were no hiccups for his home-brew scripture.
Fang Hao checked his Use Skill points screen, and saw that he had two skills ready to evolve. They were the Fire Serpent spell and the Floating Leaves spell. The Fire Serpent spell required 22 skill points to evolve and the Floating Leaves Step required 12 point to evolve. The Fire Serpent Spell had already evolved once, and was a reliable ranged offense option so he was partial to it despite the higher skill cost.
'The Floating Leaves Step was also quite good for sustained mobility in Qi Condensation, and further to that isn't lightning and wind matched with the wood element in the traditional five elements of the Chinese? Although Lightning, Wind, Light and Darkness are discrete attributes here; The five elements are still the most common and prevalent ones here. For now, lets refrain from upgrading these skills until further testing. I don't have access to the spell library for Foundation Establishment Cultivators while I am grounded here; So lets do some testing and stuff.' decided Fang Hao.

He reviewed the details of the Primal Thunder Reinforcement spell in his mindscape, and found that it was very similar to the Aura Infusion spell. He tentatively circulated Qi according to the details in his mind and a indigo colored aura covered his body. Violet streaks of lightning intermittently circulated in the Aura causing buzzing sounds.
With his spiritual sense, Fang Hao felt his nerves, muscles and tendons condense with violet streaks of lightning greatly increasing his explosive strength, speed and reaction time. Even his Perception was enhanced greatly and he experienced sharper dynamic vision and a slight change in the pitch of sounds he was hearing. With the Primal Thunder Reinforcement spell activated Fang Hao zapped around the courtyard in an erratic zig-zag manner at astonishing speeds. He adapted to his enhanced capabilities pretty quickly.
'This Primal Thunder Reinforcement Spell is a pretty solid boost over Aura Infusion. Though Qi costs and the strain on my body is higher, the boost it provides is much more potent as well. Ir reckon if someone touches the Thunder Aura from this spell, he will get a small shock and possibly be stunned for a moment. Not much of a defense against ranged potshots, but a nice added bonus for melee battles. Of course, with my Foundation Establishment cultivation base and Body Refining realm; I can actually sustain Primal Thunder Reinforcement much longer compared to Aura Infusion at Qi Condensation.'
'My only issue is how am I supposed to make sneak attacks with Primal Thunder Reinforcement active with all the flashy lightning streaks and electric buzzing sounds? All in all Primal Thunder Reinforcement spell, and Primal Vajra Aura scripture by extension, seems to have very good Offense and Speed, meh Defense and absolutely shit Stealth. Still the skill points are extremely tasty so I would rate my home-brew scripture as 8/10 for now.'
Forget about his peers, even if the Elders found out that the little Fatty who caused an uproar at the Sect rated the reason for the mystic phenomenon as a reluctant 8 out of 10, they would pound the ungrateful little dipshit into mincemeat with their bare hands.

Cinder Souls II
Dark Souls is known as one of the hardest game series to have ever existed and with the third installment of Dark Souls, being Dark Souls 3, the makers of the game decided to not make another. With the licensing of the game being put into limbo, a game company called Virtual World decided to buy the right to make another game in the series, this game was called Cinder Souls. Something was different about this game compared to the rest of the series and that was it is on the World Gear, a device that put your consciousness inside of the game and gave you complete control of your character's body. This game exploded and sold over 5 million copies in the first week since it had something other games didn't. Freedom. You could do 18+ actions, take over kingdoms, destroy guild bases entirely, and even rob NPCs. Of course there are laws in certain areas that prohibited certain actions but that all depended on what guild was in control of the land you are at. There are 4 continents with there being several countries dividing each continent into different sections and each having their own difficulties. The strongest continent of them all is Land of the Gods, which only the most legendary of players can enter and become apart of. It is a small island which only has 10 inhabitants but these 10 people could easily take over any other continent on the planet but decide to lay dormant on the island, waiting for something strong to spice up the game. Each of these 10 players is considered a God in the game and even have their own following base. Each God had major influence over the millions of other players in the game but that was all in the past. Now it is time for an update, a completely new world with new enemies and new beginnings for all and that update is coming soon. Its supposed to arrive in one day in fact. This update would have new quests and new adventures and the game title will be changed to Cinder Souls II, whether you kept your character or not is unknown but what was known was that the real world was excited for this. Since it was an update, you didn't have to repurchase the game so old players began to dust off their old copies and prepare for the copious amounts of fun in store for them. This story follows one of the best players to have ever graced the game, Frew, the God of Miracles, and his new adventures but it is not as expected. Not one of the 14 million players could expect what would be coming up next in Cinder Souls II nor would anyone be prepared for it. *****WARNING, IF YOU ARE HERE FOR THE VIRTUAL REALITY ASPECT IT IS NEXT TO NONE EXISTANT EXCEPT FOR CHAPTERS IN THE FAR FUTURE***** For the original cover picture, check out this link! ----> https://www.pinterest.com/pin/420875527667199123

Wizards of the Otherworldly Court: End of the Five, Twenty-three, and Twenty-nine Years Story
Alternate titles: - Five, Twenty-Three, Twenty-Nine Years - 5, 23, 29 "Dad? I think I got a really bad fever, why do I still feel fine?" "It feels cold..." Five years ago, Owen became a Court Wizard in search of his father who was lost to the unknown three years prior. But that wasn't the beginning of the story. Maybe it began twenty-three years ago when Ronald Bell and Joshua Ruze saved the Illyer family. Or perhaps, it all started twenty-nine years ago, when Ronald, the son of the wealthiest merchant, became a Court Wizard. Well, it doesn't matter anymore, for the story five, twenty-three, and twenty-nine years ago shall now meet its end. 2nd book written in the Wizards of the Otherworldly series. Read Wizards of the Otherworldly Court: Alicia first. This story is split into two 'Collections,' Ronald's Collection and Owen's Collection, each centering around those Court Wizards. Crossposted with WordPress site, Wattpad, Sufficient Velocity, and Rainobu. Wizards of the Otherworldly Court is a fantasy story about the Otherworldly Court, an inter-dimensional (or world-hopping, you get the idea) organization made up of people of all ages, gender, and race from many parallel or different worlds. They are granted elemental-like magic powers and called themselves 'Court Wizards'. They are tasked to watch over the many worlds they come across and step into these worlds on 'missions' to preserve the balance, life, order, anything to make said worlds better places in the shadows but may reveal themselves if necessary. However, these missions may partially or even fully oppose their nature, personal interests, and ideals. Yet, most of the Court Wizards are aware and willing to complete even the worst missions that would shatter their true selves that they will never cast aside regardless, either growing or regressing because of it. Basically, it's isekai to multiple worlds but each book after Wizards of the Otherworldly Court: Alicia focuses primarily on one world while also discussing its lore in detail. Book Alicia is the introduction containing the essential worldbuilding of the Otherworldly Court universe you need to know while shoving in as many characters and worlds as I can. Also, each book will have a different main character, sometimes more than one in a single book, like Jojo.
