Greetings true believers!

I know it's been a month since I last posted a chapter here on Royal Road, but that's because I've been working hard to finish the Level Up Hero Volume II: Rising rewrites for you all.

The rewrites are significant and will change how Volume III moves forward which is why I decided that my Royal Road readers will need to read it too instead of directing you to just buy the novel on Amazon when it comes out in April 2022. Obviously, the full volume on Amazon will be professionally edited but the new volume 2 chapters I'll be posting here on RR starting today, March 12, 2022, will have all the new content in it—because you guys are the coolest readers in the world and I don't want you to get confused when volume III starts!

Here are some examples of significant changes to the story: WARNING! SPOILERS AHEAD!!!

1. FAME POINTS factor in earlier in the story. Instead of it first appearing after Sam slays the Dragon Kholkikos, it will appear in chapter 3 after Sam and Jackboot defeat a horror.

2. MEDEA has a new look and new goals. This'll change how Volume 2 ends.

3. APEX's story is more fleshed out, and he's got a new dynamic to him which I don't want to spoil that you'll instantly notice when first meeting this villain in the chapter: The Hunter.

4. A lot of chapters like The Second Labor and Oh, River, You Heartbreaker (formerly titled A Trial of Water) have been completely rewritten with new story details, new characters introduced, and new directions for the story to take.

5. Dialogue has been revamped significantly throughout the volume to better reflect the personalities and voices of the different characters featured in the volume; Jackboot sounds more like a Brit than previously with less "mate" used. Farsight's snarkier but she'll have moments of warmth too, etc.

6. The main mission's storyline has also been edited. For example, [SPOILER AHEAD]

when they arrive at Ares' Sacred Grove, they find not one fleece, but dozens of golden fleeces hanging on the tallest tree, and they'll have to figure out which one is the real relic.

7. The entire third act of the story—the part after Sam gets the fleece—has been changed to better reflect the journey undertaken throughout the volume. For example, [SPOILERS AHEAD]

the Ceryneian Hind, Sam's motorbike, the violator, and the spartoi born from the teeth of the Dragon Kholkikos will make an appearance. Hope's appearance has also been revamped. The fight between Sam and Apex will be different too in that Sam alone won't be able to stop Apex. The whole team will be needed, which means a change in the Thunder side story as well. Many more changes, but I won't spoil it for you any more than this. XD

8. Notes on changes will be added into the post chapter author notes for your benefit. XD

Now, what does this mean for the current Volume II chapters? Well, I'll be deleting them all today. Don't worry though because I'll also begin posting the rewrites chapters every day starting today. Some days will have double releases too.
