《Supervillain》Chapter 159 - Ally of Justice 2

Same Day
Evening
Vermilion City Scrapyard
Despite being in an intimate relationship with Juno for 2-3 years now, she was still very much a mystery to Theo.
He knew the basics. Her family, birthplace, likes, dislikes, habbits, etc.
He even knew where to poke to make her squeal.
However, there were 2 major aspects about Juno that remaind a mystery to Theo.
First: Her combat prowess.
Aside from her 99.99% miss rate in range combat, Juno was the perfect shock trooper.
As stated by Miss Samantha who secretly held the title of the greatest powerless hand to hand combat specialist, Juno was unbeatable in melee.
Her ferocity, combat tactics, instincts, etc was beyond anything Miss Samantha has ever seen or capable of.
Calling Juno a genius in combat would do her justice, but Mis Samantha said that this was not the case.
There was one thing that Juno had and was physically impossible for a mere teenage girl who had less than 20 years of experience: Technique.
Techniques were practiced again and again and again for god knows how many years before someone could call themselves a master of that specific style.
As a master of nearly all martial arts known to man, Miss Samantha could pinpoint each and every technique Juno has ever used. And the old woman cofidently assessed that Juno rivaled or exceeds her in terms of mastery.
Miss Samantha had decades to perfect her art. Juno had no such time to do the same.
How did she learn so much despite her youth?
Answer: Unknown.
The second major aspect that made Theo uncomfortable about Juno was her nigh unflinching loyalty to him.
Mind you, he was thankful that he had such a powerful piece to play. He would even go as far as admit that he genuinely loved her.
However, it did not change the fact that her loyalty was weird.
Theo did not belive in the 'love at first sight' garbage.
He also did not recall doing anything that could warrant attracting Juno's attention like spouting off cheesy lines like 'This is my way of the Superhero' like Vivi did once .... cringe lvl over 9000.
He wanted to be the world's silent guardian. He would be the hidden blade that fought unseen against shadows and ghosts to safe guard humanity. None would know of his exploits, and that's just how he wanted it.
Due to this ideal of his, he never once stood out prior to the Black Bible incident.
He was also pretty damn sure it wasnt his physical appearance.
His looks was as average as another face in the crowd. Though muscular, he was on the lean side. These was perfect for his more espionage style of waging war.
As such, he could not fathom why Juno was attracted to him.
And underneath the beautiful clear night sky, Theo hoped that the answers he desired would finally be revealed to him.
In the middle of the ever expanding mountain of scrap metal, concrete and other worthless items stood a wierd group.
Theo sat on top of a large pile of scrap with his son Zachariah Tenshu Lorne on his right arm.
Pani stood right beside him with his daughter Evangelica Tenma Lorne in her arms.
He would would have carried both of his children if he wasnt missing a limb.
There was also Nichola who still refused to go out of their home unless she wore her mummy attire.
Naturally, the Vermillion Scrap Yard was no place for a couple of 1 month old children. As such, Theo brough with him all 300+ of his elite Eisenritters as bodyguards. In addition to this, Nichola brought her 10 Fury lesser deamons armed with all manner of powerful magic items.

Common sense dictated not to bring such young children to probably the most dangerous area in the city.
However, Theo was just being very selfish this time around.
He was making up 1 month of not showering his children with fatherly love while he was in a coma.
Aside from making his wives squeel in bed and murdering criminal scum, this was one of the few activities he had that made him extremely happy.
Anyways, he would do his absolute best to spend as much time with his children.
As for the last member of his wierd little family, the Juno that stood in front of them was even more out of place than the children were.
For one, she was wearing a one piece swimsuit used in swimming contests and a knee high combat booots. This was probably the most revealing outfit she has ever worn in public.
When Theo demanded that she upheld her promise to answer all of his questions, she replied that she would rather show than tell.
She was going to fight the monsters and psychopaths of the Vermillion City Scrapyard without any items that could boost her strength. Her kinky outfit was ment to show that she had no tricks up her sleeves.
This alone revealed to Theo 1 important thing: Juno had some kind of superpower.
As to what kind of power she wielded, he was about to find out.
"Well then, let us begin Juno's fabulous performance! Applause please!" said Juno in an exagerated manner.
Everyone just went along and clapped their hands.
Due to missing 1 limb, Theo made meowing noise for his applause.
"Thank you. You're too kind. Then let us begin with a very simple question. My love, what is the Brown Theory?" asked Juno
"The Brown Theory dictates that all unatural abilities are a combination of the 3 main branches of power. These are Magic, Chi and Science. What of it?" replied Theo.
On que, Juno's body temperature shot up considerably. This was a sign that magic was being used.
And to make matters even more interesting, Theo's instincts of self preservation went haywire. Something extremely dangerous was nearby and he had to run away if he wanted to live.
He knew this feeling all too well because he just experienced it recently.
It was the same feeling he had when he faced the Old Yagyu Samurai 1 month ago.
It was as if he was in the prescence of a voilent apex predator.
Among all of the branches of power, the Chi branch was the easiest to detect. If one dove deeply into the ways of the martial arts, that person would ascend to a higher form of existence.
Theo couldnt make sense of that mumbo jumbo, but he understood it as a prey's instinctive fear for a predator.
While Chi could only be felt when the practitioner was in battle mode, no special equipment or techniques were required to detect it.
Magic could only be detected if A: a person can manipulate the winds of mana or B: had equipment or techniques that can detect temperature.
Science based power was next to impossible to accurately detect due to how many fields it covered.
ESP, mutations, or even Theo's very own midas alchemy were just a few of the many many abilites within the Science based power.
While Theo's group already knew that it was possible to combine 2 branches of power, very few combinations worked as intended.
Most just cancel each other out.
As the primary duo in the Brown theory research, imagine Theo and Nichola's shock when they saw Chi and Magic working perfectly in Juno's body.

Before Theo and Nichola could ask questions, Juno jumped off the mountain of scrap and ran at speeds equal to when she was wearing Nichola made enchanted armor.
Her target was a small 10 man group of mutants know as the 'Blubber Gang'.
A vast majority of them were 2 meters tall and were obesse as hell. They were somehow able to get high regenerative abilities by eating the flesh of anything that has a pulse.
There used to be 100+ of the Blubber Gang, but Theo's forces was able to bring them down with large amounts of HE weaponry.
It took great effort and a fair bit of lives to destroy the Blubber Gang.
Yet Juno went at them unarmed.
Was she getting cocky? Or was her power that great?
Either way, the 10 heavily armed combat drones flying 100 meters above her was ready to assist.
They immediately realized that their concerns were unwaranted.
A laptop set up in front of Theo so that the non-cybernetic Nichola was able to watch all the action.
Juno's approach was very blatant. It was as if she wanted to make sure that her enemies was prepared for her arrival.
The Blubber Gang grabbed whatever big metal object they could find and charged at their aggressor.
The Blubber nearest to Juno threw refrigirators at her.
To counter this, Juno performed a bunch of hand seals that Theo has only ever seen in ninja themed animes before vomitting an ungodly amount of violet liquid.
The massive violet wave swallowed all the projectiles and 5 of the Blubber Gang members in one swoop.
Aside from the Blubbers who was screaming in agony, pretty much everything within the small lake was slowly yet visibly melting.
The Blubbers' regeneration was more than enough to counter act the corosion but that did not save them from the agonizing cycle of their flesh being melted then regenerating almost immediately.
Juno quickly backed off and performed something that shocked Nichola.
She stood still with one hand pointed to the ground and the other to the sky.
As her finger glowed, she drew 2 images in the air.
Theo was actually familiar with the glowing finger thing. This was a low level chi based art called 'Ghost Message'. It was nothing more than leaving an invisible message that would only be revealed to a person specificed by the user.
It was a fairly common but very effective technique used in espionage.
The HAA taughed this to all of their students right from the get go. Naturally, only those who practiced martial arts could pull this off, but it was a good tool in case of emergencies.
While Theo was confused why Juno was doing this, Nichola realized what was up.
"No way! She's doing 2 Formal Crafts at the same time?!" exclaimed Nichola.
"Er... What's a Formal Craft?" Asked Theo
"Formal Craft is a proper term. The Layman's versioin is Ritual."
"Oh. Is that so amazing?"
"Damn straight it is! If basic spells are guns, a ritual can range from an artillery cannon to a nuke. It requires a lot of preparations and man power to pull one off. Remember the Khlysty Gospel Ritual that cured me of my beef jerky form? Remember how much of a pain in the ass that was?"
"I see. Now I get it. Then isnt Juno doing something insane right now?"
"Well, not exactly. Based on the magic circles, it seems that she's going for a combat ritual. It's effect is probably equal to an artillery cannon. It normally takes 5 mages, a magic circle drawn on a surface and 10 seconds of continous chanting to pull one off."
"Yet Juno is doing 2 at the same time."
"And now you understand why I'm so shocked?"
On que, Juno finished her casting.
The Blubber Gang did try to stop her, but they moved as slow as they looked. They also avoided the corossive lake that their fellow gang members were desperately trying to get out off.
All in all, they were too late.
Juno unleashed the spell that was pointed to the ground first.
Without warning, the temperature at ground level instantly dropped. It was as if they were teleported to Antartica.
This might not look like much, but the effect was something you could not ignore.
The Blubber Gang immediately noticed a sudden difficulty in breathing and the unstoppable reflex of shivering. To those who were not used to performing strenuous activities in exterme cold weather, breathing in cold dry air was agony.
This was a fairly common problem for long time Vermillion City citizens who moved to much colder areas of the Commonwealth.
Vermillion City had a very tropic weather when compared to the rest of the Commonwealth. It has never experienced snow nor has it seen any other weather except a painfully hot summer days or typhoon level rainfall.
However, the freezing temperature was only part 1 of Juno's plan.
For part 2, a massive ball of fire appeared on the magic circle that was pointed to the sky. The heat was so intense that Theo could feel himself sweat even though he was so far away.
"Oho. So that's her play. Very nice." said Theo as he nodded in approval
"Huh? Do you know what's she up to?" asked Nichola
"Steam Explosion."
Juno threw the fireball at the corosive pond that was surprisingly still in its liquid form.
The moment the 2 came in contact, the drastic change in temperature caused a violent explosion akin to a volcanic erruption.
The 5 Blubber gang members that was still in the pond was obliterated from the face of the earth. Cant regenerate if there was nothing left.
The other 5 was blown away to different directions.
One of them was unlucky enough to land face first right in front of Juno.
Juno activated both magical enhancement and chi based body strengthening before unleashing unholy beat down at the poor slob.
First a powerful kick to the chin, forcing the Blubber to a kneeling position.
It was followed by an open palm strike to the gut. Based on the massive shockwave that rippled through the Blubber's body, it was clear that this was some form of martial that damaged the internal organs.
Before it could recover, Juno jumped on it's shoulder, plunged her fist straight into the eye socket and casted a fireball spell directly to its brain.
The brain was the most important organ for combat mages and martial artists because it controlled the passive regeneration and damage nullification respectively.
Catastrophic damage to it removed said defenses completely.
Juno knew this well and acted accordingly.
She grabbed 2 random metal poles and forcefully crushed the ends to convert it into makeshift spears.
She didnt need to look around for her next meal to arrive.
Enraged by the death of his ally, another Blubber charged at Juno with a car as a club.
Juno went under the clumsy attack and drove the 2 metal poles right into its balls.
The males that saw it instinctively clutched their own pearls.
And to make matters worse, Juno sent massive amounts of lightning up the poles that caused the poor blokes' balls to shrivle up and burn.
Pearls were being clutched quite dearly.
As the Blubber got on its knees in agony, Juno punched through its eye socket and made icicles forcefuly expand from within its brain and out through its skull.
Seeing how violently their comrades met their end, the rest of the Blubber Gang ran as fast as their lumbering physique could muster.
Disatisfied of repeatedly touching such grotesque beasts, Juno waved at one of Theo's combat drones.
"My love, I'm bored with them now. Can you please kill them for me? I cant stand touching such repulsive sacks of fless anymore." said Juno
With a sigh, Theo commanded his combat drones and troops to hunt down the remaining Blubber Gang.
If there was one thing he understood from this event, it was this: Juno was a fledgeling world ending monster.
