The Next Day

Very early morning

Theo’s Company Building

He stood in the middle of the empty parking lot, silently staring at the moon.

He didnt have his power armor on this time around, so he could feel the cold seeping into his skin.

Once again, he found himself in a ‘calm before the storm’ moment.

This wasn't his first climactic battle event, but that doesnt mean he has gotten used to it.

Excitement and fury pumped into his veins like a chipmunk being forced fed coffee.

In all honesty, he was surprised he was able to get some sleep.

Yes it was a short 3 hour sleep, but it was a rest he needed so badly.

His nerves have been strung up tight ever since he received the news about Mary and his patience has been far from ideal.

It was all thanks to Pani’s timely bedtime comfort that Theo was able to get some dreamless shut eye.

And now, Theo was primed and ready.

Just to be clear though, it was not the elven prey he was worried about. Killing them would be an easy matter since he wasn't going to take any chances.

As he stared into nothingness, a couple of people approached him from behind.

This was the frog faced doctor, Nichola in her mummy outfit and the white power armor cladded EM01

“Seriously kid. You cant just call me out of the blue and make me do multiple surgeries in one go! I think it's fairly obvious that I’m in my twilight years here!” said the doctor

“First: I could have sworn that I explicitly told you to perform only 1 surgery per day to ensure that you’re in tip top shape every surgery. Second: I’m paying you at your ridiculously expensive standard rate. I don't think you have the right to complain.” replied Theo with a sigh.

“Bah. With the money you got from swindling the Valkyries should have been massive. 500 thousand rooks per surgery is nothing.”

“Only fools think that spending more than 100 rooks on anything can be called small.”

“I’m an illegal doctor with mad skills after all. I have a reputation to keep.” replied the Doctor. “And I don't understand why you even bothered calling me. I’ve seen what those weird ‘builders’ of yours can do. They can patch up those cops with ease.”

“And let them see those guys? No way. I’ve seen the shit they’ve done to themselves. The fall out those mechanical abominations will cause is nothing short of catastrophic.”

Theo gave the builders a degree of freedom to create whatever upgrades they desired, but who could have predicted that they would go overboard.

They chopped one of their arms to make way for 3 mechanical ones. They turned their legs into spider looking things. Their backs had extra arms with drills, chain saws, etc.

And these were the ‘tame’ ones.

A lot of the builders could no longer be considered as humans.

While Theo had a shit ton of complaints, he could not deny the results of their upgrades.

Every last one of them improved their output and efficiency at least 100% due to their upgrades.

As such, he had no choice but to swallow his complaints and make do with what he got.

“Hmm… Cant deny that. Those builders do look extremely…. disturbing.” replied the doctor. “Anyways, are you ready? High Elves are bad enough, you also have the Crow Trio… *sigh*.... Damn that Samantha. Of all the times to have an orgy with her husbands.”

“Let her have her fun. She earned it” replied Theo before turning to Nichola. “Are we ready?”

“Yes. That contingency plan of yours is in place…. But do we really have to use one of ‘those’?” said Nichola with great displeasure.

“Unfortunately, yes. We’re talking about Crow here. Even our best hand may not ensure victory against her and her team.” replied Theo

“I know that… I know that! But! Damn it! It's such a waste to use them on Crow!”

“Well, it’s not like we dont have a spare. It’s for the best” replied Theo as he patted Nichola on the head before turning to EM01. “How’s our forces?”

The twintailed tsundere looking EM01 took a knee like a knight pledging to her king.

“The Aegis System is ready. Say the word my lord and the Eisenmadchens will destroy all of your enemies.” replied EM01 with a carnivorous grin in her face.

Theo caressed EM01 by the cheek which caused the the first of the Eisenmadchens to shiver in delight.

“Good girl. Let’s not waste time then. Ready the troops and make sure our 3 guest stars don't stray beyond the path we set them. We’re moving out.”

With an energetic salute, EM01 used her coms and began issuing orders.

Theo said his goodbyes as he headed for the area designated for trucks. There lied 5 unremarkable delivery van for the Happy Bee convenience store chain which Theo borrowed from the Lord of Vermilion.

It was the perfect camouflage in Vermilion City.

There stood the other 24 heavily armored Eisenmadchens, the 3 volunteers from Jinny Bravo, and surprisingly Barth and Mary who was in a wheelchair.

At the moment, all of her limbs were effectively gone. But in their place, mechanical ports were fitted in. This was where her new cybernetics were going to be placed.

“Sis, you just came from a surgery. Be a good patient and sleep.” said Theo

“Oh dont be such a killjoy. I think I’m entitled to see off my brother in law ” replied Mary in a voice that was practically a whisper.

Clearly she was still very weak.

The omnigel might work wonders in closing wounds and negating any infections, but the fatigue it caused was no laughing matter.

“So? What’s up?” asked Theo

“I just want to thank you for the cybernetics. It’s a godsend for my team….. But I cant say the same about this whole revenge thing. I do appreciate that you care for me and all, but you dont have to do this” replied Mary

“*sigh*.... This again, huh. Let’s end this once and for all. First, I have to do this. Those shits hurt my family and they will pay for it. And besides, there’s no way the media will pick this up, thus it's all good.”

“Huh? Why?” asked the confused Barth.

“That’s because an associate of mine will be attacking the media! Not physically mind you, but more on the blackmail variety” replied Theo

This was the main reason why Miss Samantha was not here.

Theo asked Miss Samantha for advice a few hours ago.

And her response?

Attack the media!

It made no sense to Theo.

Odds were that the media giants probably had a hand in this as well, hence the media blackout.

Apparently, Miss Samantha saw an opportunity to strangle the media giants into obeying her will. She was so excited that she left without explaining anything.

Though confused, Theo knew better than to feel any sense of worry for Miss Samantha.

She was a two faced bitch that had the strength, skill and cunning that vastly exceeded Crow’s and Theo’s combined.

Worrying about her wellbeing was a waste of time.

“Anyways, time to go. Bro, make sure that Sis gets some sleep. Drug her if you have to. First timers will feel a heavy burden on their minds. She going to need all the strength she can muster later on.” said Theo

“Sure, but drug her? Isnt that going a little too far?” asked Barth

“Come now. You’re married to sis for years now. You know more than I do how restless she becomes when she’s excited.”

“Ugh… true...”

“Oy! I can hear you, you know?!” said the pouting Mary

“Then shut up and sleep. By the time you wake up, you’ll be as good as new.” replied Theo.

With one final hug to Barth and Mary, Theo and his group boarded the Happy Bee delivery vans and went their way.

30 minutes later

The vans stopped near a big sewer outlet that you could find pretty much anywhere in the city

Outside the drainage was 5 individuals clad in black power armor.

These were the forward scouts that Theo sent to scour the sewers for clues.

The moment they saw Theo disembarked, they approached him and knelt in front of him.

In all honesty, he disliked the whole kneeling thing.

However, just like Juno, the Reformants would agree to never do it again…. Only to do it again the very next moment!

Since the only way to make them stop was to reprogram them, Theo decided to let it be.

No need to waste time and effort on something annoying but harmless.

“My lord. We have done as you commanded. A large area of the sewers has now been installed with multiple Gum Drones for surveillance.” said the large burly man via coms in order to avoid being heard by the 3 guests.

“Good work. Get in the vans and return to base for some R&R. You guys earned it.” replied Theo

“You honor us my lord.” said the man before he led his group to the vans.

“Hey Lorne, can I ask you something?” said one of Jinny Bravo’s sewer specialist. “Arent your troops a little into this whole ‘knight roleplay’ thing?”

“*sigh*... Tell that to The Boss. These are his troops after all” replied Theo who didnt want to bother explaining the weirdness of his group.

“Er… no thanks.” replied the sewer specialist. “ Anyways, as per our predetermined plan, us 3 will head in first to track our pray. Once we find the trail, we’ll radio the location and you’ll send in your troops to them while you stay here. Simple enough right?”

As per usual, the good people of the police department were vehemently against putting blood on Theo’s hands.

“Of course. I’ll send The Boss in when he gets here” replied Theo who got tired trying to convince them otherwise.

“Very well. Let’s do this.”

The 3 sewer experts went in and disappeared from sight.

A few moments later, Theo donned his upgraded Z49 power armor.

His armaments were as follows: 4 Beretta 92 pistols, 6 grappling guns attached to the mechanical arms on his back weapon, and the Super Shotgun on his left hand.

Inspired from a particular video game, the Super Shotgun was a one of a kind, excessively powerful sawed off shotgun that fired a Theo-original round called the Bunker-Buster bullets.

These were singular solid slugs that explode after piercing something, thus making the wound unnecessarily large.

While the bunker-busters could be chambered in pretty much any shotgun, firing it was another story.

The gunpowder used in it was so powerful that it would destroy a normal shotgun from within, hence, the Super Shotgun.

The most interesting addition to the Super Shotgun was a grappling hook underneath the barrel.

6 grappling guns on his back + 1 on his gun = a lot of crazy moves.

As for the 25 Eisenmadchens, their loadout was as follows: white Z61 Scout Armor, 4 HF Blades, a large round shield that was attached to their backs.

Looked unimpressive, right?

Not exactly.

There was a very nasty surprise for those enemies that would think that.

“Alright. Listen up everyone.” said Theo

Upon hearing Theo’s words, the Eisenmadchens took a knee for some reason.

Though it made Theo cringe, he let it slide.

“Unlike the garbage in the scrapyard, these are High Elves we’re dealing with. Odds are, they are highly skilled in combat. As such, this is officially your first assignment as my Elite Unit.”

The Eisenmadchens took a deep breath on hearing the words ‘Elite Unit’.

Unknown to Theo, the Eisenmadchens were brainwashed by Juno to firmly believe that they were superior to the rest of the Reformants for they are the ‘chosen concubines of God’.

Though none of them showed it openly, every Eisenmadchens had an extremely bloated ego and an insufferable superiority complex.

And hearing the words ‘MY Elite Unit’ from the lips of God himself, they would have pleasured themselves if they weren't in a mission.

But the kicker that sent their bloodlust over the edge was Theo’s next words.

“The one that gets me the most Elven heads will receive the reward Juno has promised you.” said Theo

“M-my lord… you dont mean-?” asked EM01

“That lucky individual will be my lover for one day. Is that clear?”

“”YES MY LORD!”” replied the Eisenmadchens with fierce energy.

And thus, those who hunted elves entered the sewers.
