Beginning’s End 10
-:-
5 Hours Later
Vermilion City Scrapyard
Inside Theo’s Company Building
The first thing Theo saw when his consciousness returned was the frog faced doctor
“*sigh*.... The world just keeps throwing shit at me huh… I was kinda hoping to see a cute girl when I wake up” said Theo in a joking manner
“Look who’s talking. You look 20% uglier with that new eye of yours.” replied the doctor as he handed Theo a mirror.
“What the-?! Shit! Damn shit! Moldy hairy cock balls! One terminator eye was bad enough! Now I have two?! Damn it all!”
“Oh quit your bellyaching. You don't look that bad.”
“Dude, I was slightly above average with one terminator eye. Now I’m definitely below average!”
“Then why not just make a real looking eye? I remember you telling me that the only reason why you had your left eye look like a low tech cybernetics is because you wanted to look the part of a poor highschool student. At the moment, it is common knowledge that you have quite a big piggy bank thanks to your shtick with the Nosferatu Clan. On top of that, you’re pioneering a cybernetic prosthetics company. I think it’s within your current standing to have a much better quality of cybernetics.” said the doctor.
“Hmm…. You’re right…. I’ll do that. I’ll keep my left eye as it is due its sentimental value, but the right gets a better looking one after this crap blows over.” replied Theo with a nod.
“You know my number. Ring me up when you get the parts ready. I’ll fix your ugly mug right up”
“Said the man with the face of a toad.”
While Theo and the doctor were throwing light hearted insults at each other, the door opened and a mummy wearing a labcoat walked in.
“Wazup Nichola.” said Theo
Nichola practically jumped into Theo’s bed and wordlessly hugged him with all of the might her weak arms could muster.
Theo and the doctor couldn't help but smile
“I’ll tell everyone to gather in the conference room. Don't take too long now.” said the doctor as he left the room.
Once they were alone, Theo took off Nichola’s mask and kissed her in a manner that would make the french proud.
Theo assaulted Nichola’s lips for a few seconds before finally letting her go.
“*huff* *huff*.... I can't believe I forgot how overzealous you are when expressing your love… Didn't I just suffer through it a few days ago?” said the breathless Nichola.
“Then I’ll do it to you more so that you won't forget.” replied Theo in a teasing manner.
“Please have mercy. Fainting from pleasure again and again is too much for me. I don't have Juno’s endurance to survive that.”
“I’ll think about it. No promises though.”
They cuddled for a few seconds before Nichola returned to her non-sweet scientist mode.
“Your body is fully recovered. That’s good. You were lucky that they didn't use the full version of the Nithing Pole. You’d be in a much worse condition otherwise” said Nichola as she checked a clipboard.

“What’s a Nithing Pole?” asked Theo as he got off of the bed and began doing some stretches to check his condition.
“Norscans are not known for their curses, but the Nithing Pole one is an exception. If done properly, the contents of the curse could not only last until you die, it also gets passed down to all of your descendants.”
“Damn… looks like I really lucked out this time. By the way, what’s the curse that hit me?”
“Severe sickness. It’s nothing lethal on its own, but getting hit by that in the middle of combat is another matter entirely. Getting hit by the full Nithing Pole version of that means that your family, meaning siblings and parents, along with all of their descendants will be sick forever.”
“... Fucking Norscans…”
“Anyways, forget about that. I’d like to ask you something.” said Nichola in a serious manner.
“Go ahead.”
“A really pretty clone with brown skin and glasses just arrived via plane while you were still unconscious. She has that love struck look when she talks about you.”
“Pani is here? What took her so long?”
“I dont know. My question is this…. Is she going to be part of your harem?”
“Er… yeah… she is...”
“YES! THANK YOU!” Nichola pumped her fist in celebration, much to Theo’s confusion.
“Huh… I thought the normal reaction to an additional wife would anger...”
“If you weren't such a damn beast in bed, I’d probably react like that! Juno has been skipping out on her turns a little too much lately and my shares has increased way too much. Physically, I’m just a normal girl. If this goes on, I’ll eventually break! The more wives you have, the less pleasure tortured nights I have to endure!”
“Hahaha! I see! I’ll do my best then!”

A few minutes later
With a retinue of power armor clad guards that he didn't ask for, Theo entered the conference room like a boss.
He wanted to bring Nichola with him but her fear of being in front of people she didn't know was still very prevalent.
As such, she returned to the hideout and use the video feeds to listen in.
Inside the room were the people Theo expected to be there, and a quite a few that he didn't expect to see.
The Doctor, Diego, Miss Samantha, Lord of Vermilion via voice box and Juno were all expected to be there.
Those whom Theo didnt expect were:
Harbinger Ulkov along with a couple of druids and his honor guards
Mother Leticia and some of her warrior nuns
Pani and members of the Hassan I Sabbah.
Pani, who was wearing a white sunday dress, approached Theo.
“Report: Assistant Clone No. 5891-MMHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHMMMMMMMMMM!” said Pani before Theo french kissed her until her legs gave out.
“You’re late.” replied Theo as she gave Pani a light kiss in the forehead.
“Apologies… *huff* *huff*”
“Oh my. You younglings are quite a lively bunch” said the amused Mother Leticia
“No need to be shocked Nun. Powerful men attract beautiful women.” replied Ulkov. “Anyways, good to see you again Boss. I regret to inform you that the new eye doesn't suit you.”

“I have to agree with the barbarian” said Mother Leticia
Pretty much everyone in the room nodded their head in agreement.
“Ouch. Right in the nuts.” said Theo. “While I do have questions why the Volsung Warriors, the Ecclesiarchy and the Hassan I Sabbah are here, I’ll save it for later. I bet the briefing will answer my questions, right?”
“Correct” said Pani
“Then let’s not waste time then.”
Everyone took their seats in various areas of the room in front of the large monitor
As per usual, Pani manned her laptop and proceeded with the presentation.
“Introduction: This unit is Assistant Clone No. 58912213. Nickname: Pani. Status: 4th wife of Theodore Lorne.” said Pani as she blushed profusely at the last part of her sentence. “Report: the summary of events among the different factions in the past few months that led to this point.”
It all started about a month after Theo’s assault of the cruise ship Sanctuary with the Volsung Clan
An Aeserian Valkyrie named Hjorrdul visited the island in order to visit her chosen Einherjar.
An Einherjar was a person who was chosen by the Aeserians to be ‘worthy’ to join their ranks in preparation for ‘Ragnarok’. They would be provided some magical upgrades and weapons for their services
In layman’s terms, its a recruitment drive for meatshields for a campaign or some sort.
However, the unofficial description of an Einherjar was a Valkyrie’s boy toy/ sexfriend/ lover.
They get showered in gifts and enjoy some steamy hot sex with a Valkyrie and the only thing required from the Einherjar was to obey the Valkyrie’s every whim.
Not a bad deal at all.
Here’s the problem… Antyr, son of Jarl Gwydurd, and the first Volsung Norscan that Theo killed, was in fact the chosen Einherjar of Valkyrie Hjorrdul.
And to no one’s surprise, Hjorrdul was pissed and she wanted blood.
However, she couldn't kill anyone in the Volsung Clan since other Valkyries had Einherjars there.
She also couldn't force information out of the Volsung for one reason.
Antyr challenged and was killed in ritual combat. His death was of his own making and no one else.
A Valkyrie taking revenge on an honorable duel between mortals was not only petty but was openly scorned by Aeserians
Of course, not everyone was happy by Antyr’s death in the hands of an outsider.
While most of the Volsung Norscans had accepted the result of the duel, Vankath was definitely unhappy with it.
This was because, as per tradition, everything the loser owns will be handed to the winner.
This meant that Vankath would get nothing from Antyr’s decently sized fortune.
And thus a partnership was born between Vankath and Hjorrdul.
Since Hjorrdul couldn't kill Theo herself, she would provide Vankath with the opportunity to Theo in ritual combat. She would give Vankath the capital to hire a lot of mercenaries from the other Norscan Clans and the Vermilion city thugs to harass Theo to the point of exhaustion before Vankath moved in for the kill.
She would also use her influence as a Valkyrie and a fair bit of money to bribe/strong arm the Commonwealth government officials prevent the superheroes from interfering.
How did the Hassan I Sabbah and the Volsung Clan get dragged into this?
Vankath and Hjorrdul’s execute their plan in absolute secrecy, thus when a fair bit of warriors from various clans suddenly disappeared, everyone would want to know what happened.
The Volsung clan allied with all the other clans to search for the missing warriors, but to no avail.
In desperation, the Volsung clans turned to Nosferatu for help.
As such, Nosferatu referred them to the best trackers in the world, the Hassan I Sabbah.
With Jabir’s spy network in play, it merely took a few days to find out what happened, where the warriors were heading and who was the target.
Pani, who had some complications with her body improvements and Theo’s cybernetics, jumped on the investigation the moment she was physically able and tried to protect Theo in her own way.
And thus, the current situation.
“Damn…. Just… damn...” said Theo after Pani lined out the timeline in an easy to understand manner.
“Boss, every action will have many consequences. Everything you do will bite you in the ass in one way or another” said Harbinger Ulkov
“*sigh*.... I know….” said Theo before he turned to Mother Leticia. “So, what’s your stake in this?”
“We have come to offer our services to drive out these heathens from your life. All we ask is a small portion of land from your eventual takeover of Hell Hole 9th district. We want to build a chapel that would also serve as a second staging ground for our initiates in their trials into the scrapyards.” said Mother Leticia.
As Theo was about to give Mother Leticia’s offer some thought, he spotted Miss Samantha performing one of her hidden body language signals.
It said ‘accept’ and ‘great benefits’
Theo thought for a bit.
What were the benefits of having the Ecclesiarchy on his side?
Aside from the obvious military might, they were one of the most prevalent religions in the world. Having them on his side meant that they saw his cause as righteous.
While he does have a lot of concern of how Mother Leticia was able to get info out of Miss Samantha without any tricks, he needed all the help he could get.
“Fine. We’ll iron out the details after this shinanegan is over.” said Theo
“Very well.” Mother Leticia nodded in agreement.
“So it’s time for you to step into the spotlight as The Boss. This is going to be a difficult battle after all and you no longer have a reason to hold back” said Ulkov
“You’re actually wrong in a couple of things there.” said Theo
“Oh?”
“First: I am not going to reveal myself as The Boss. I already have a contingency plan ready to go. Second: I don't have to hold back anymore, so this is going to be easy.”

Re-Ordaining of the Chosen
Alea cheerfully hummed as she descended the steps, brimming in upbeat while her colleague, Quarren Leos, shot her a look of skepticism. “So… were you right about him?” he asked doubtfully. She came to a stop for a moment, her humming falling silent before she shook her head, waving her medium length light-blonde hair from side to side. “I was wrong about him.” Quarren raised an eyebrow in confusion at the convoluted response.“But you seem quite happy?” he asked again. “Because I am. But I was wrong about him. He was… so much more than I ever expected.” Alea looked at the sky overhead with a smile. “That boy… no, that man, is amazing. I firmly believe he will come to stand on top of any adversary he faces. He is destined. He is Chosen.” Quarren snorted as he stepped past, shaking his head. “Okay. Each to their own beliefs but you’re sounding like a nutjob. That skinny twig? Everyone calls him a cripple, you know,” he shook his head.“Rumours are always false, Leos,” Alea answered with a disapproving shake of her head. “You wouldn’t know. He is so, so much more.” “I saw him with my own two eyes. I didn’t see anything redeeming,” Quarren rebutted. “Well…” Alea chuckled. “You haven’t seen what I’ve seen.” In the year 917 of the Imperial Calendar, the Great War had just ended between dozens of nations. It was common belief that they possessed special blood blessed by the Goddess Stecia, who gifted the lineage to the first King of Farrien when he first founded the country. All were ecstatic when the current generation of the two Archduchy's, after the war, agreed to let their children wed. The excitement was short-lived however when the Aerianne Princess proved to be a dragoness among men but the Kanarian Prince was worse than even mediocre. The Prince disappeared and the wedding was shortly forgotten as society lived on. Until one day the Young Heir of Kanaria returned to Farrien a changed man, bringing demise with him. Follow the story of the Chosen ordained by the Goddess of Time as he returns to the past to right his wrongs and set things back straight again!
