The Next Day

After School

Theo was in a bind.

As a man who specialized in Science, his mindset was ruled by logic and reason.

Magic was as logical as man shaving his balls with a meat cleaver.

While magic had its own strict laws to follow, it was often bent or completely broken with the ‘power of friendship’, ‘the power of love’ or other similarly vague nonsense.

With his clear deficiency in the illogical world of magic, Theo decided to head to the Magic Division of HAA for help.

Fortunately for him, his good friend Vivi Cornielo was a fairly high level mage himself.

Theo wasn’t sure if Vivi had knowledge about the Incubi demon race seeing how it wasn’t Vivi’s forte, but maybe Vivi could recommend someone.

Theo understood that this was a flimsy lead, but this was the best he got. Might as well make use of it.

The Mage Division was easy to spot within the HAA campus ground. It was really hard to miss the large out of place industrial revolution themed Britanican clock tower in the middle of a state of the art campus.

While Theo was mulling over the absurdities of magic, he noticed something out of place.

The Mage’s Tower was largely unpopulated due to how few people had the affinity for magic. Thus it was easy to spot the small group heading towards the tower.

The group composed of 2 handsome guys and 2 beautiful girls. They all belonged to the ‘Popular Kids’ group.

Theo was familiar with all of them but has never actually talked to any of them.

All of them belonged to the Hero Course.

The 2 guys and 1 girl were of the ‘Mutant’ side of the super power spectrum, thus was incompatible with magic.

The last one was practically a celebrity in the HAA and the superhero community at large.

Her name was Juno Saiga, also known as ‘The Argent Smile’ among the students. She also belonged to the unofficial ‘4 Princesses of HAA’ ranking.

She was about 1 head shorter than Theo with pale white skin, short frizzy silver hair and sharp golden eyes. She had an erotic body with a decently large chest that was balanced by her perfect child bearing hips.

Her appearance gave her a welcoming aura of an angel and a seductive body of a devil

She was what you call a fashionista with her clothes perfectly coordinated to bring out her womanly charms

How did Theo know of these?

He was a guy after all.

He was allowed to dream right?

However, after studying under Miss Samantha, Theo’s views on Juno changed drastically.

The main reason why she was called ‘The Argent Smile’ was because of 2 reasons.

The ‘Argent’ came from the fact that her physical appearance screamed either white or silver. Thus Argent (another word for Silver)

The ‘Smile’ was because she was often seen with only 2 facial expression: A blank face when she concentrates, or some variation of a smile.

She was extremely popular because she was equally friendly to everyone. She had a gentle smile when talking to anyone.

This may not look like a bad thing, but having only 2 expressions was weird in on itself.

Miss Samantha was fairly confident when she told Theo that something was seriously wrong with Juno. What exactly was wrong with Juno was a mystery.

Back to the present.

At the moment, Theo was wondering why the 4 of them were heading towards the clock tower.

He only needed to listen to the loud voices coming from the popular kids.

“Don’t be such a spoil sport Juno. I promise you it will be fun!” said one of the girls

“Nothing wrong with a little time to unwind, yeah?” said one of the guys

Juno made an apologetic smile.

“Sadly, I have to decline. I cant stand liquor and I have heard of some unsavory rumors when a girl gets drunk” replied Juno

“Come now, we are gentlemen. We would never do that. And besides, it’s just a little booze. It’s good for your health!” said the other guy.

While it looked like your typical ‘guys trying to pick up some girls’, it was fairly obvious that the men had every intention of defiling Juno.

They even got a girl to help them.

Since this was none of his concern, Theo decided to ignore them and proceed to his destination.

… At least, that was the original plan…

The next event allowed Theo a brief glimpse of what was ‘wrong’ with Juno.

One of the guys placed his arm over Juno’s shoulder. It was a friendly gesture that hid an obvious motive.

Juno’s ever smiling face was suddenly replaced with a smile that hinted rage.

“There are only 3 types of people that are allowed to touch me. The man I love, my family and the enemies that I break. Which category do you belong to?” asked Juno in a friendly yet cold voice.

“Huh? Arent we frie-?”

The guy wasn’t able to finish as Juno’s full force punch sank into his throat, thus greatly hindering his breathing.

Juno followed with a knee to the groin and a hook to the jaw.

The handsome man went down in agony.

“Wha-?! You bitch!” said the girl before getting knocked out by Juno’s spinning heel kick to her face

The last guy was able to react properly compared to his comrades.

He backed away from Juno’s range and activated his power.

He pointed his right hand at the advancing Juno and unleashed a fireball that caused a fairly decent explosion.

He wasn’t called ‘The Bomb’ for nothing.

Much to the guy’s shock, Juno was unharmed.

She used the girl as a meat shield in order to cover her advance.

Before the guy could prepare another fireball, Juno was already at striking range.

A punch to the throat

A knee to the groin

A drop kick to the face

The man fell on his back, but before he could regain his balance, Juno mounted him and began punching the living daylights out of him.

Fast, brutal and efficient.

Despite having no superpowers, Juno was able to overwhelm 3 people with ease.

Theo had no obligation to help the 3, but Juno seemed to have no intention of stopping.

It left a bad aftertaste in Theo’s mouth if he allowed a bunch of weaklings to die so pathetically.

Theo snuck behind Juno, grabbed her by the neck using his metallic arm and chock slammed her into the ground.

He mounted Juno and tried to grab her hands.

Juno blindly threw a counter attack which landed painfully on Theo’s face, resulting on a decent size cut on his cheek.

Theo abandoned trying to grab Juno’s hand and decided to simply used a bear hug to seal Juno’s arms.

Thanks to this, the distance between Theo and Juno’s face were almost at kissing range.

“Listen to me! Calm down!” roared Theo out of desperation.

Juno was a vastly superior fist fighter compared to Theo.

Fighting her without his guns was literally suicide.

While Theo was desperately thinking of some fancy words to convince Juno to stand down, something weird happened.

Juno took a look at Theo’s face and made a smile filled with happiness.

It wasn’t like those half assed smile that she showed to everyone.

It was a genuine joyous smile.

Juno immediately stopped resisting.

“As you wish darling” said Juno as she produced the most beautiful smile Theo has ever seen her do.

“Okay...What the actual fuck just happened?” Thought Theo as a sense of discomfort crept up his spine
