《Experimental Wuxia Novel》Through the Docks

Kepa Ying scowls at everything, being dragged away from the kid that told on her to an actual Chosen of Heaven. They were all conspiring against her! The beast, the pirate, the kid, the guy they were robbing, all of them! Everyone standing in the way of her righteous vengeance! How dare they, when you’re dealing with a Chosen of Heaven, you’re dealing with a life and death situation. That kid needed to be taught that actions have consequences, and that specifically the consequence for tattling on her was to be beaten until he needed a doctor to stitch him back together.
“Let me go already,” Kepa Ying demands of the obvious Primordial Grandmist pirate, “he’s dumb and deserves everything I’m about to do to him.”
“Nah,” says the pirate casually, “we’re just here to pillage and burn, and then get back to tha ship. Town’s already on fire, and we just stole a bunch ‘a stuff, so that’s both ‘a those things done.”
Going completely limp, Kepa Ying makes it as difficult as possible for herself to be carried along. Unfortunately, this pirate was obviously at least past the Body Refining level, and had no issues pulling her along, much like she had no issues pulling the beast up a mountain. Ugh, she’d definitely be stronger if she was the one that was older.
If the armor had the ability to explode things, she needed to master its use immediately. Very little was not solvable by an explosion. In fact, the size of an explosion was directly correlated to the complexity of the problems it was capable of making a solution to. She could start with everything, then move on to everything left over from the first pass.
Without that, she was stuck being dragged all the way through town back to the docks. That thing was made of wood, so she was going to have to think of something clever to get away before she started getting splinters in her most of her.

Nope, nothing.
There was always throwing a tantrum! The pirate was holding her by her armored hand, so she couldn’t do anything with that, but there was always flailing around wildly and making noise to fall back on, even if she couldn’t try to get free by hitting the guy dragging her.
Upon further consideration, keeping herself steady and straightened out by holding her armored leg against the ground was a great addition to the plan. That let her flail with one leg and arm without hitting her foot on the ground repeatedly, and as it happened, the ground hurt. She bounced a bit over all the gaps in the planks as she was dragged over the docks to the ship, but there was no comparison to the pain in her leg when she had been smacking it repeatedly against the non dock ground alongside the armored leg.
Not flailing the armored leg was probably a good idea in general, since it randomly activating itself to launch her into the sea was not beyond the realm of possibility.
Dragged along as a sack of potatoes, Kepa Ying stops her tantrum for a moment as in the sky fire, earth, metal, water, and wood all spiral together into a massive expanding tower. At the top, a cloud forms at the structure’s head, and as she watches the sources of all five elements stop being fed from below and are brought up into the glistening matter high above. Once the final bits of energy combine into a glowing blue sphere, it deforms downward into a spike, and crashes down into the dock, which breaks apart under the force.
Belatedly, Kepa Ying sees that there are a bunch of sailors running over to the ship that she is presumably being dragged to, so she resumes her flailing. This was her last chance to break free and beat up a small child!

“Help, help, I’m being oppressed,” she yells, hoping someone will take pity on her.
“No you aren’t,” says the beast, callously ignoring her plight. “Anyway, I’m just gonna tell that guy not to follow us existence fast, I will fish up in a moment.”
Idioms, how dare they. Not even bothering to give an excuse in plain language! She doesn’t stop struggling until the beast joins them on the ship and the gangplank, which she almost managed to knock over she was sure, was pulled back up. Once the chances of actually getting to go back and do the thing were no longer in existence, she calmly stands up and asks the pertinent question.
“So, where’s the food?”

Fallout: Vault X
An original novel set in the Fallout universe, written to be accessible to all, featuring unique people and places. Vol.II. out now Fallout: Vault X tells the story of John. A vault dweller, who spent every day of his twenty five years underground. Like his father, and his father before him. Proud to live in the last remaining bastion of humanity, all that survived The Great War of the atomic age. Hidden deep below the surface of the earth, toiling under brutal conditions. Year after year, decade upon decade. All to expand into the natural cave system the Vault occupied, building for the future. However, John knew what his forefathers did not, that everything he’d been taught was a lie. After finishing school at the age of ten, John received his standard issue pipboy. An arm mounted personal computer, worn by everyone in the Vault. Used to coordinate the relentless pace of expansion, needed to work as an apprentice. To learn the craft that would be his life’s work. A noble calling to ensure a future for all that remained of the human race. A quirk of fate saw John equipped not with the crude, clunky, pipboy model his father wore. That almost everyone around him wore. His looked smaller, sleeker, finished in a jet black sheen. And capable of doing far more than its drab counterparts. The world above had been ravaged by atomic flames, yet life clung to its bones. The Red Valley fared better than most in the century since the bombs fell. The clean water and rich soil protected by rolling hills. All spared from direct strikes, for the most part. Life survived here. Trees spawned from charred ground, misshapen, green leaves turned red. Along with simple crops, grown wild at first, then cultivated by the survivors. The scavengers of the old world were inventive, hardy people. All determined to rebuild in the ruins of a world they never knew. In the decades that passed settlements emerged. They grew, spreading along the valley floor. Reclaiming the pre-war remnants of the once industrialised heartland. Salvaging the robotic wonders of a bygone age to build their walls and work their fields. To protect them in the dark of the wasteland. But such things are uncommon in this world, and the rarer something is, the greater its value. And the worth of pre-war technology had not gone unnoticed. The last, real, power in this world rested in the mechanised hands of The Brotherhood of Steel. Forged from the mortally wounded old world military. The Brotherhood used its access to the weapons made for a conflict no one won to strike out into the wastes. Men and women were equipped with advanced armour, aerial transportation, high grade weaponry. Accompanied by the training, strength, and will, to put them to use. They established chapters and set up outputs far and wide. All dedicated to a single purpose. To ensure the technology left abandoned by its long dead creators didn’t fall into the wrong hands. Namely, any hands that were not their own. This is the world John escaped into. A place of horrors brought forth from atomic fire. A place where survival meant battling against the darkness. Fighting a war each day to get to the next. And war...war never changes

8 172Dauntless Star
WWIII has come to pass and 91% of the Earth is left scorched and uninhabitable. From the ashes of WWIII two major powers emerged. The Southern Alliance (SA) and the Northern United Nations (NUN). The SA sought refuge in space devising devices to enhance the body and keep the mind occupied. This novel follows the journey of a young man named Crescent who saw the worst humanity had to offer in The Game and was given a second chance, traveling back in time when humanity first left for the stars. More importantly when The Game first started. Hello Author here just thought I’d say hi. This is the first novel and there will more than likely be a lot of grammar mistakes and slow writing but together we can finish this novel. Any constructive feedback you can give or editing you can do will be very appreciated. So come join in a journey of sci-fi, fantasy, time travel and romance (hopefully). Damn single life ? Ps if the cover artwork is yours and you can provide proof, I would be happy to take it down at your request as per you intellectual rights. If not thx
