Rebel Leader POV
I was escaping while i left the others to keep the drones busy. As i was laughing at them while i left them behind i saw on the monitor the drones were pulling back so i smiled and slowed down to seem what would happen but when i turned the ship around to see with my own eyes i saw a massive behemoth coming at me with its mouth open and the millions of razor sharp fangs ready to shred me to pieces. It had already swallowed all of the others when it came out of the hole we didn't notice we were flying over and now it i was also in it as it closed its mouth.
As the lights faded when it closes it mouth the ship turned it slights off only for me to see the body dropping and then i heard crashing and scraping metal. After a heavy crash from outside my ship was trashed and was being clawed at by the fangs and being pushed back towards the back.
The fangs could only scratch the ship plating at best, if it wasn’t for the bumps on them they wouldn't be able to get much hold on it but now i can already see why destination. In front of me some 20 meters away was a huge pool of toxic liquid i could see several hulls of ships and there were some drones floating around probably still operating.
My ship was already out of commission and i didn't have a power suit needed for the planet atmosphere that guy my ex captain Noah had some suits and i think he even found someone in the station that could build them but he is with him now so all i can do is wait for death. this sucks I’m going to be one of the first to die in this game.
I'm in the liquid now my ship quickly flooded with that stuff thanks to some holes opened up by the fangs before the pain is excruciating but at least it’s a fast activating acid which i guess was made for dissolving metal. After some moments of pain it finally dulls and i die.
You have died. A clone has been generated.
I open my eyes to find myself in a large cylindrical tube filled with water and many wires and tubes attached to me. They water begins to drain while the wires let go of me. The last to let go was an air pipe attached around my mouth and nose to provide air.

When all the water was empty i was on the floor barely able to stand, my body felt weak. Not like when you have the flu but i feel weak compared to normal. I could barely move i was probably as weak as a baby. I could at best turn my head from side to side with my own strength and pull and push my arms but besides that i couldn't lift anything.
Penalties of Rebirth
In death you are reborn as a clone that looks just as you did before death but you have died so you have left behind everything you had on.
One problem with clones is that they are born at fast speeds so they can be born moments after death but the problem is your muscles are as weak as that of a baby. For the next 96 hour, 24 hours in real life, you will be accompanied by a nurse that will train you to regain the strength you had in your previous life before your teleported back to your station of origin or the last station you were at.
Strength, Agility, Dexterity and Stamina have all been set to 1
I turned ghostly white as I saw that message. Up to now I have never even thought of raising stats because it didn't matter much in a sci-fi game but seeing this I saw that it would suck to so much not having high stats. With higher stats i can get up faster its 96 hours to return to 10 strength, agility and dexterity if it was higher the recovery would be the same but i would be able to walk at a quicker time.
At this point i was on the verge of tears when the nurse came and picked me up. I was light since I didn't have much muscle and she simple put me on a wheelchair and took me and placed me in a hospital room and began slow movements for me urging me to start.
3rd POV all over
In space within the territory of the Terran Federation a medium cargo ship that was armed like a fighter was flying in hyper drive through space. Its captain Ray Cross was sitting in his seat laughing like crazy as he watched a video on the internet. (Which is connected through the capsule)
His second in command was there near him curious about what was going on.
Vice: hey Ray what’s making you laugh so much?
Ray: look at this Yurin, it some newbies attacked Noah’s base on their starter planet they got destroyed and now look at the penalty.

Yurin a beautiful woman with waist long dark blue hair with black eyes came over and finally watched the video with intrigued eyes as the video passed the players all died and from the view of the leader who had stopped to look back he saw that behemoth worm approaching and swallowing him. Then the video jumped to after he woke up and the message appeared. As soon as she read the penalty she began flabbergasted.
Yurin: T-this is mad.
Ray: hahaha I know, those bastards at Virtual Works made one fucked up penalty for death. We lose everything unlike other games.
Yurin: this isn’t a joke Ray.
Ray: I know but all we need to do is grew in power and this place is where we can safely bid our time while doing so.
He says this just as the ship leaves the hyper drive.
In front of them orbiting around Earth, a now desert planet polluted and filled with radiation, one of the greatest ships in the galaxy, the Federation. It was never given a name because it became the symbol of the federation itself so earning it the name. It was a Massive super cruiser even among them it was about ⅔ the size of the moon and held a population of nearly 3 billion people. It was one of the 3 safest places of the galaxy the others being the capital of the other factions.
Ray: let’s go boys we have some conquering to do so this will be all ours and no one in the federation or the others will ever be able to stop us.
The small cargo ship soon sped up towards the super cruiser and vanished into the crowd as it entered.
In another part of the galaxy a woman with abyssal black eyes blacker than the void of space itself was seeing the same video Matthew was but there was no laughter in her eyes. All they say were the drones attacking the newbies as they destroyed them.
Elizabeth: ”this planet that monster it is the same as Noah from the interview...so those drones must be his. So that was the technology he developed i can see why he wanted to keep it secret if anyone was smart they would notice them but I’m sure the countless newbies would only care to see this outrageous penalty.”
Elizabeth was currently in her mining ship which was stationed some distance above the planet she had a base in. She opened her wrist-comp and looked at the new leader interface which showed the base and planet management for her new planets she had just gained. As she looked them over she her cold eyes began to burn with determination.
Elizabeth: ”i will not be left behind by this brat. Starting with this frozen rock i will make the Dominion and then the entire galaxy mine and soon i shall crush all that i consider an obstacle, especially you Noah Collins”
Elizabeth walks back into the pilot seat before activating a sequence of commands and soon on the planet a large series of explosions happen volcanoes begin erupting and shooting out lava and smoke all over the cold desert planet. The terraforming of the first Dominion planet was also the start of the rise of a new empress how would yield to no one.
On the station above a frozen planet, a young girl was just finishing seeing the video with the death penalty. Her interest was more on the planet itself.
Violet: ”So this is Kelha II, i asked the station hands were it was and was surprised to know it was here in Liberation space. He will be a tough foe to beat on my rise to be a true conqueror but i won't discourage, if i need to i can wait for him to leave or terraform that planet and kill of those monsters then I can take that planet which seems to be a good place to start a headquarters. This planet I’m on is too difficult to terraform unless a terraformer appears i have no way of knowing how to go about it.
She looks up out the window of the station towards the white planet covered in ice with only a small stretch of un frozen land near the equator where its warm enough to keep the ice from forming. She just sighed at her lack of luck she hadn't thought it would be so hard to live on this planet and was with thoughts of getting off as soon as she can and find a more suitable place. The idea of joining the Liberation army like the other boy wanted to do with the federation.
Smiling she began thinking of how to travel to her new destination.
Not only were the other three top players making their moves every player with the guts to fearlessly face this death penalty were making their moves which pulled the curtains on the true Age of Space Chaos.

The Oresteia (Modernized)
All three of the great Greek Tragedians have written plays about the bloody chain of murder and revenge within the royal family of Argos. Yet theirs is in fact not a story of tragedy, but rather one of redemption. As they move from darkness to light, from rage to self-governance, from primitive ritual to civilized institution, their spirit of struggle and regeneration becomes an everlasting song of celebration to be heard throughout the ages. Forming a discourse set against the emergence of Athenian democracy out of a period of chaos and destruction, the Orestian plays are compelling stories of the tensions between our obligations to our families and the laws that bind us together as a society. In the beginning, we witness how a king’s decision to sacrifice his daughter and turn the tide of war inflicts lasting damage on his family, culminating in a terrible act of retribution. In the aftermath of regicide, we behold how a son must set out to avenge his father’s death by committing a most egregious sin. In the end, the sinner is tormented by supernatural powers that can never be appeased, but ultimately finds redemption and ends the curse on his house once and for all. Woven through all of this is the story of a friendship so close that it elevates itself to brotherhood - Where the blood of the covenant is shown to be indeed thicker than the water of the womb. In this very brief twelve-chapter modern rendition of the Orestian plays, I have chosen to place my focus mainly on the lives of the characters Orestes and his best friend Pylades. The chapters, each around 2000-2500 words, are split up evenly between them in first-person narrative. I hope that you will come to enjoy reading this heartwarming story, but more importantly, that you see how the conflicts portrayed in the story, whether human or institutional, are still much very relevant to our societies today. Note on Sources: The details of this story is very loosely based on The Oresteia by Aeschylus. And I mean very loosely. Other sources that I referenced for detail and inspiration are Mythology by Edith Hamilton, Electra by Sophocles, and Iphigenia in Tauris by Euripides. You may also find that I have quoted some of these works, and others (such as Shelley's Ozymondaeus), without citations (average of 1-2 such quotes per chapter). I did this because I do not have the ability to describe certain scenes nearly as well as some of those writers. If you read a particularly beautiful piece of prose here, chances are it's probably stolen lol. Also, I wrote this during the summer between my high school senior year and my college freshmen year. It was the summer of 2020, and being quarantined apparently gets my creative side out lol.
