When I woke up, I found this skill floating in front of me. When I tried to remember what I did to get this I remembered what I thought yesterday.

Noah: ”No way, just simply wanting it gets a result like this.”

I stood up and left my room in the carrier and went into the bridge. The team I left here for management purposes was in chaos. Some were yelling about the danger we were facing and how to resolve it who to call and put troops where. It was complete chaos and it took what little patience I had left so I went to sit in the captains seat.

Dropping onto the seat was like a wakeup call. A few people looked my way and relief spread on their face.

Tech 1: sir the base is in chaos; a few hours ago a group of miners came and began attacking the shield. When we messaged them they started saying that everyone should surrender but we had already blocked them with the shields. That was when the battles started.

Noah: did you return fire.

Tech 1: as of now we are only sending a few laser drones to fire back and keep them at bay but more of them keep appearing. There are readings that say what arrived here is only about 30% of their forces the rest was destroyed by the golems when they got too close to the ground.

Noah: what about Jessica, Earl and the freighter what's their situation.

Tech 2: Captain Wright is already back she arrived a few moments before the attack commenced she warned us after she overheard the people in the station planning the attack. The freighter is currently in space and we have told them to remain there since there is little risk of them attacking since they would risk being attacked by the other guards.

Noah: good now how many laser drones have had software upgrades.

Tech 1: the upgrades for both laser and shield drones were finished about 4 hours ago and were implemented to all drones of that kind. Copies of the codes were sent to you sir and should be on your wrist-comp sir.

Noah: good now have all the drones mobile the drones, pilots are to only use shield drones and command a squad of 5 laser drones each. Shield drones are to link their shields to the dome shield to reinforce it. Pass the orders now.

Giving the final orders everyone visible relaxes and the previous chaos was gone and now work started to flow much more calmly. Reports of the research, production, current troops, current enemy troops and where they were all passed to me to decide what to do.

The research report was as said before, the drones were upgraded so under the supervision of the trade ship tech researchers they began new projects, it also mentions that the lasers had been upgraded as well, seems they are just a little better than a regular fighters lasers now. The production report showed me that the current number of drones I had which was 500 laser drones and 100 shield drones. We have 100 control seats in the base so our full strength will be sent out soon. Current troops were about 80 fighters which were trained for miners how didn’t have much work to do so the rest would be piloted by either mechanics or techs who knew how to fly. The enemy troop report showed me that there were 50 Dingy and about 150 fighters all the model we have so they probably got it from a droid in the station or they were my old crewmates, probably the latter. Most were spread out but the bulk was near the north east area of the base but I had a hunch that it was just a facade so I ordered the shield drones to spread out evenly.

Outside the base, only about 5% of the current forces were attacking while the rest was waiting.

They just kept blasting the dome shields with what they had and had taking already 20% of the shields strength.

The person leading the attack was one of the ex-crewmates that were too afraid to come to the planet when Noah had gotten the mission.

Rebel leader: HAHA I knew it was a smart idea to wait now the idiot has the whole planet and we can take it with much more ease then taking it from that old Cane bastard.

His right hand man was also an ex crewmate but a tech and had great strategy making skills that, in other games, had won wars.

Vice leader: that is true sir but he hasn't done anything against us so he could be waiting for something.

Rebel leader: I wouldn't be surprised if he was asleep when we got here and is still sleeping.

Vice: that does seem possible if someone over works it will take a lot to wake them up.

Just then as they were talking a message came in from the front lines.

Fighter: sir we have a problem

Leader: what those little drones are too hard for you.

Fighter: no sir, the shields they suddenly got stronger after a strange hexagon pattern appeared on them.

Leader: what!

He pulled up a visual of what the fighter was seeing and saw the shields. It now looked more like a giant light blue turtle shell.

Fighter: our lasers are barely doing any damage now and the shields have begun to repair themselves.

The same instant he said that over 500 small flying bodies come from inside the shields and fire lasers at them. The fighter that was talking with the leader was able to dodge the initial ambush.

Looking through the monitor the rebel leader paled when he saw the drones. It was common to use them for scanning but what he just saw was an all-out laser assault these were not comparable to those other drones either the laser of these were also much stronger.

The ambush took down half of the forces.

Rebel Leader: this sucks so this is what he was hiding.

Vice: it’s a good thing we only sent a small part of our forces to attack or everyone might have been hit.

Rebel leader: grr everyone prepare for battle we are going in to destroy them all.

They were all in the air about 10 km away from the base about 40 m up away from the golems assault which took 70% of their forces.

Rebel Leader: ”everything on this fucking planet is messed up, first those monsters attack out of no wear and then this guy’s army seriously how can he control so many drones who always have simple software commands. There is no way that all five hundred are being manually controlled.

He was right. The new software also included something for the control seats in the base. when in control 6 screens appeared 1 for the shield drone which had been put on standby and 5 for laser drones so currently 100 men were controlling 5 drones each in perfect sync. The new software also gave them options for coordinated attacks by implementing formations like the V formation or other such attacks.

It took then 1 minute to cover the 10 km but by that time all their ships had been destroyed thank to the concentrated attack on them which blocked all escape routes when they tried to dodge the lasers. When they entered the 5 km safe zone all the drones swarmed them from all sides and began an assault on them as did the rebel forces. Unfortunately for the rebels, because of the size of the drones and the new engine the planets gravity had little hold on them unlike the bulky ships they had with old engines. Even so they were still about to take out a few drones but that didn't compare to the damage the drones did to them. In the collision of the two armies the drones last about 70 of their numbers but the rebels lost 50 fighters and 20 Dingy at the same time as well as critically damage many other ships all around the front of the force.

Just by the collision it showed how underpowered they were and who the clear victor was. so with that in mind hiding in the back of the chaos the leader turned tail and ran while giving orders as if he was still there. It wasn’t until he reached 1 km up into the air that he realized how screwed he was.

Without them noticing the drone had pushed all the rebels on top of the second hole the giant worm had made when trying to get Noah when he went up into space now as the ground began shaking Noah only grinned as he gave the final order to winning the battle.

Noah: order all drones full retreat but to keep all enemies on top of the hole if you need to sacrifice some drones do it.

With that 1 drone was left for each enemy ship as the rest retreated and the end of the battle was decided when giant worm blasted out of the hole eating the whole group as well as quickly reaching the leader and swallowing him as well.

Noah POV

The control room was in an uproar as they celebrated. They had been worried about the attack which was taking so much from them but they still did not attack because of orders from gunner who was had been controlling the few drones. None of them could think of how to fight back but it had been decided so quickly after Noah arrived.

Noah: ”I guess this was thanks to that new skill, I remembered clearly that shield drones increased the power of the dome shield when linked and thanks to the upgrades to weapons and software which had been quickly made by making a larger laser drone they put almost full force into making a large number of them.”

It was truly a group effort that this battle didn't end badly.

Sitting with a smile Noah just watched as everyone celebrated. On the monitor there was an image of the three control center and the pilot were also celebrating and planning some festival.

Noah: ”maybe I should spoil them just this once”

I get in contact with the radio tower and have them send my signal up into space. My target was Void who was in his ship waiting for the results. A little bit later the signal connected.

Void: yes who is it?

Noah: it’s me Noah, we won the battle happening.

Void: great I’ll get there soon.

Noah: hey can you do me a favor, one which I will pay back in money later.

Void: what?

Noah: I need a lot of food; the guys down here want to party and well it will shorten our food supply when they party.

Void: haha I get it ill buy some food to bring down see you soon.

Noah: see ya ”that solves that problem but now I’m sure there is one firework Conner has been dying to pop and so do I”

I leave the carrier and head for his lab. The lab was also celebrating the victory but not as intensely more of an excited gossip. Conner was at the back working when he noticed me.

Conner: what brings you here Noah?

Noah: came to see how the preparations for erupting that chain of volcanoes are coming along.

Conner: great we sent the drill drones there and they have dug about 30 to 100 meters into the mountain it’s in and bombs have been placed in but Istill need another week to set up enough around the main one plus a few on the smaller ones to make sure all of them burst.

Noah: good I was hoping to have some fireworks going off during the festival one that will change this surface of the planet.

Conner: you're an interesting men Noah, if you can lend me some miners and make some more drill drones then the work will speed up.

Noah: choose who you want and say it was on my orders but at least let them party a bit after Void gets here.

He nods and sends a few people out before going to work again. The rest of the day was busy but not like after I returned from space. We needed to remake the drones we lost sacrificing to the worm and to make new drill drones for Conner and we took the liberty to make some for the base itself.

When they were done we sent them off to the volcano to start working and we just did other stuff to waste time. The next day, Conner came to me saying that the preparations were done so I called a celebration for our victory. Soon food was prepared made from many different cultures of different planets. It lasted into the afternoon when I met up with Conner.

Noah: so are they ready?

Conner: yep the holo project has been placed on the stage and there are some simple drones we made just for viewing this dangerous spectacle. We will pop this as a the mark of our success, of your success captain.

He holds a cup up as he says that out loud the others cheer as the screen appears showing the image of a large mountain chain.

Conner works a bit on his computer which had been brought out just for the occasion.

Conner: now then Noah as the captain you can do the honor of pressing the detonator.

It was a simple black box with a big red button like those you see for self-destruct buttons.

Noah: I just wanted to say that as a Captain it's an honor to work with all of you and continue working with all of you.

With that I slam the button.

On the screen around the top of many of the mountains especially the largest one large clouds of dust appeared. After a few moments of silence, smoke started to appear as well as the sound of rumbling. From the image we could see a small bit of lava start to appear and then suddenly the top vanishes.

*BOOM*

With an unimaginable amount of force more than ⅓ of the mountain top was obliterated with the shockwave and then the eruption itself. The shockwave soon hit the drone that was filming and tossed it spinning in the opposite directing for a few moments and when it fixes itself we saw what could only be seen in movies of the apocalypse.

Over the volcano a slowly rising black cloud of dirt, dust and ash continued rising. Every few moments you could see electric discharges which meant the lighting must be falling over the volcano. With another rumbling and explosion large amount of lava began going out and as well as flying out. Huge balls of molten rock flew long distances before crashing on the ground making a burning crater where it landed.

We could only watch in awe as the volcano continuously spewed out one of nature’s most frighten forces.

Sometime later more eruptions happened. A chain reaction had begun with the other volcanoes which began letting its rage out into the planet. In all humanity's life there are few times you could watch this in awe because it would always affect the area around it negatively it was seen as a disaster but now it was something of wonder to watch nature work in all its fury without hurting anyone. It was something only possible here in the game and I was sure that the future to come held much more in store for us.
