Nothing alarming to report other than my memory being shoddy. This week is my birthday and I forgot to schedule a post explaining I wouldn't be posting this week. Apologies for the late announcement. To be honest I didn't even remember it until my friends started trying to schedule stuff with me.

Them: Hey, are you free the 28th?

Me: Yeah.

Them: Really? Like the whole day?

Me: Yeah, it’s a Thursday. Nothing happens on Thursday.

Them:.... Did you forget your birthday?

*Uncomfortable silence*

Me: Yeeessss....

Them: Well alright, see you Thursday.

It’s weird to be both much older yet far younger than I ever expected to be. Little me sort of only pictured me at 20 and 250 after mankind had conquered death and become immortal. Everything in between is a fuzzy sort of meh I didn't bother filling in.

Little me was also annoyed human courtship wasn't just a huge dance party once a year where singles get out in the streets and dance to attract mates like carnival on steroids. It’s not like I thought that would be more fair or easier. It just seemed like it would be more fun. First week of mate month you build or refurbish a home. Second week, dance party!

I was that fun kid who would read the textbook when they were bored on the weekend and watched national geographic and nova marathons. Birds are weird and hilarious.
