----------
The fairies had used their combined powers to form a semi dome above a portion of the city, but it also seemed to be straining them, being unable to make it powerful enough. It didn’t help much considering that red lightning bolts broke off segments of their barrier which needed mana in return to heal itself.
Syrana and Myra had made it out in time to avoid being stuck inside of the bulwark of light and headed forwards in the direction of the city. Syrana gasped as she looked up seeing the clouds becoming dangerous and firing bolts of lightning. Even more so as she had barely jumped to the side with her still injured thigh as well as Myra in her arms. The bolt causing a 2-2 meter explosion and leaving a small crater, much stronger than an average lightning bolt.
Myra yelped slightly at Syrana jumping as well as the explosion. She turned around to see the shield above the city taking bolts of lightning against it. She hissed with annoyance as she knew her sylphs were in danger. She hopped of Syrana who seemed to call out to her "M-Myra!!" She stopped as she also seemed to notice the situation and followed her to the city.
Avrin was running quickly as he used his free hand to form void spheres that rapidly shot out towards the forming bulwark of light shield. As the spheres collided they began to eat away at it as it was not as powerful as the etilith shield. Fragments began to crumble and the shield would try to repair those pieces.
But it bought Avrin enough time to jump through, rolling on the ground before stopping and catching his balance before continuing on to run, not bothering to gloat. This was mainly for the fact that after dealing with the aftermath, they would surely look for him. But at that moment, a large explosion echoed as if a meteor had hit. The etilith shield had imploded as the energy that it had built up from the forest radiated out all at once. It no longer drew power from the forest or the earth as it exploded luckily.

Abbadon gasped as he had to used more of his energy to contain the power of it. "I-incredible!" he began to sweat a little. "9..90% is what it took!" He struggled a bit as he knew even if he had used all his power, the powerful condensed explosion would still be too powerful as the shield began to crack as power seeped through.
On the bright side it seemed the clouds had lost the lightning conduit from the etilith shield began to disperse. The explosion smashed against the floor of the ruins eating away several meters and continuing on but the explosion of energy had also gone through the hole that avrin had formed before hitting the surface of the tunnel that shot towards the escape direction Avrin went to.
As Avrin looked back, he jumped a little as he felt a shock. He turned back to see the power crashing against the shield that had nearly got him killed but it also seemed to be cracking.
"Tsk" He clicked his tongue and continued running down what seemed like an endless tunnel.
At that moment the segment of the shield underneath broke as it was not as powerful as the segments above due to the necessity being the surface where the power was more needed. The explosion shot downwards like a jet towards Avrin who saw a corner and had barely enough time to jump around it before it shot past him like a hungry flame.
"Now that I can gloat about!" He smirked. As he continued on not bothering to rest as his stamina could take much much more pressure than this. Abbadon on the surface who was now using his full power but still found it hard as the bulwark of light was distorting due to the power of the etilith shield. "Such ... power from a deity’s magic! … I can’t ..." At that moment he felt a surge of mana enter his body from his back.
He looked behind to see Myra placing Moonwing against him with her eyes shut as she seemed to be channeling her own mana as well as mana from the forest. Abbadon’s eyes glowed with a powerful green light as his own body emitted a light green aura. The bulwark of light now imbued with the power of light and nature gave a similar radiant look that the etilith shield gave, becoming significantly more powerful as it easily managed the force of the explosion of energy which seemed to now die down.
As seconds turned to minutes the force of the energy had shrunk until it was no more. The bulwark dispersed as Abbadon had stopped it after confirming there was no threat. He wasted no time to turning around to gaze at Myra. "I must thank you priestess it seems without you we surely would have perished."

Myra stayed quiet before sighing. In truth it was Abbadon who went out of his way to protect her people. He could of just as easily have escaped with Neriel. "No, I must thank you Abbadon. Without you my people would surely have died." She bowed respectfully having no shame in doing so and in return the other sylphs had also done so. Apart from syrana who folded her arms and shrugged while shaking her head.
Abbadon chuckled quietly before Twilight dispersed in a flash of light. It seemed he had unsummoned it away and would summon it when he needed it again. The battle today was surely over. The forest was weakened but the ray of light from the afternoon sunlight was welcomed. "Well, this battle is over. The deity object is surely destroyed as well as what was inside of it." He said, knowing nothing would be able to escape that sort of condensed power.
"Indeed." Myra spoke somewhat sadly knowing avrin was surely gone. It was a shame considering she could have learned so much. "Priestess, I still cannot let the fact that such a thing existed slide. I’m sure the gods themselves will have realised this after feeling such incredible power. I have no reason to demand for punishment as I’m sure they are doing what they must."
Myra only nodded. She was in the wrong, having no way to argue back. She just wanted things to end so that she could rebuild the ruins and had a lot of matters to attend to. "Thank you angel lord." She bowed to which Syrana gave a sort of twisted look as she was being healed by a fairy.
Abbadon and Neriel who had remained quiet the entire time, had begun there leave as Neriel had formed a circle while Abbadon was speaking which was now ready. As they both stepped onto it Abbadon gave a salute and Neriel bowed before the teleportation circle began to glow and they vanished yet again in a light similar to the ones in the ruins.
In Seleria only angels and the deities knew how to use teleportation magic, as the angels themselves kept it a secret due to the need of travelling quickly in times of need. Although They had created circles for important places. It was necessity to help rebuild after times of destruction as well as to move supplies quickly. They were often protected by the governments and rulers of each place the circles were set in as this was to stop people from studying the magic to use it for evil.
The day went on with Myra and Syrana helping in clearing the debris of the ruins which an incredibly large crater with a depth of 9 meters. There was a lot of debris especially at the edges of the crater which seemed to be eaten away by the force of the power. It would surely have consumed a large portion of the city as well as the forest. She was once more thankful for Abbadon’s intervention.
"We aren’t meant to wield such power. Controlling it is too risky." She mumbled, realising that losing the shield was no longer a bad thing. She looked around before she heard a call. "Priestess Myra, I found something!" Myra went to the center of the crater where debris that had been blown around or had been nearly disintegrated by the explosion remained. Underneath a few chunks a sylph warrior was talking to another before gazing at Myra.
"We found something." He then pointed to a hole that led downwards. The guard had dropped a makeshift torch down to see that it led to a hidden tunnel. Myra widened her eyes as she looked at it carefully.
"Could this mean he may have survived?" She was shocked as she was sure he had been sealed but then again it was impossible to tell. She smiled and decided it may be fate for him to escape. She began to laugh softly as the two guards gazed confused at her laughing. But Myra knew for sure that such an interesting being such as Avrin was alive. She would not see the last of him.
Underground Avrin had been walking for nearly two hours as he came across a slight boulder with the sound of crashing water outside of it. He could see some rays of light and wasted no time in augmenting his right hand before punching the boulder which if it felt anything would cry from the pain. The part where avrin had punched cracked as his fist dug into it before the boulder collapsed from the force and exploded outwards, revealing a beautiful view as well as the edge of the forest. A small waterfall covering the entrance as Avrin stepped through it not caring if he had gotten wet considering he had only pants on.
He gazed and then smirked as he saw the sight and the plains beyond the forest seeing the many hills and such. "I have so much I want to do now." He chuckled as he exited the cave his figure through the stream of water disappearing as he was gone.
