《The Dungeon Hive》Epilogue- The Farewell

“A bag?” The Speaker asked in slight disbelief. “You are really going to put your Creator in a bag?”
Everyone was looking at the fairy that was carrying a leather pouch that the second Creator was supposed to be placed in and the Speaker could hear a few giggles here and there. She was only asking the question the rest of the Kin were afraid to ask. The fairy just laughed.
“Don’t worry! The Creator isn’t that big or heavy. There are 5 of us fairies left. Between us, we’ll take turns carrying the Creator to our new home.”
That at least was true. The second Creator was small and could be easily carried in the pouch but it just seems…wrong to the Speaker to carry it in a leather pouch. However she could do nothing but shake her head. It wasn’t like she had a better idea of how to transport the Creator over big distances.
The fairy continued, “Also, we are going to have the remaining hellhounds with us for protection. Your female Alpha will also be leading a group of your Werewolves with us till the end of The Kar. So we’ll be very safe.”
Indeed Kinshra and a small group would be shadowing the second Creator till the end of great forest; the problem was the danger that comes afterwards. After the fight with the humans, the Kin had been expanding their zone of influence and their rule over the Kar was now without question. Anything beyond the great forest however…
“You sure about the journey?” she asked.
The fairy just nodded again. “I’ve been to the volcano several times before with my former master. It’s not that difficult to get from here. Just need to get out of the forest through the southern end of the Kar. Once we are get out of the forest, we just need to cross the river, and it’s about 3 days ride to the south. I think flying there should be faster so we could get there even before 3 days.”

“You sure it’s safe?”
“It should be. There’s no city south of Yachiun till Rurion and that’s way to the south. The hellhounds should be more than enough to handle any hunter or bandit that’s unfortunate enough to cross our path.”
“I meant the volcano!”
“Oh…well, the volcano hasn’t blow up for over 30 winters so that should not be a problem. Even if it did blow, I think the Creator might like that!”
“It might ERUPT?” The Speaker didn’t know how well the Creators could handle being in lava and would rather not find out!
“Very low chance of that,” the fairy assured her. “Its…what’s the word…dor…”
“Dormant?”
“That’s right! It’s dormant! It’ll be perfect for our Creator!”
The Speaker could do nothing but blinked her eyes several times. The Creators had already decided the second Creator would be leaving so there’s nothing she could do about that but trusting the safety of a Creator to these flighty fairies…
“”What’s it called then? What’s the name of this volcano?”
The question caught the fairy out a little and he thought about it before remembering the answer. “Morningstar! It was called Mount Morningstar!”
……………………………………………………………………………………….
*So it just happened? You guys didn’t know what you were doing?*
*That’s right! When we saw you Fire idiots go down to your own dragon…*
*IT’S NOT A DRAGON!*
*…whatever, it just ‘felt’ to us we could save you. So we told the children to bring us up to the third floor and once we were here, the lights did their thing.*
*So you guys had no control over it?*
*None whatsoever. It just happened on its own.*
*Well, thanks anyway for coming up. You guys saved us, whether you did it willingly or not. Take care once we are gone; the humans may come back.*
*You guys take care too. You guys really sure you want to leave?*
Advertisement
*We have to. The feeding issue can’t be resolved with the two hives so close to each other. Besides once we get to this volcano, we can create our own tunnels and creatures.*
*You guys got anything in mind?*
*We will try to create a real powerfully-unique-fire-flinger!*
*You mean the dragon?*
*IT’S NOT A DRAGON!*
*Whatever…but why?*
*You saw how our powerfully-unique-fire-flinger disappeared once we were knocked down? If it was a real creature like one of the Kin, the powerfully-unique-fire-flinger would have gone on to kill all those humans. So we are going to create a real one!*
*To create a real dragon will be…*
*IT’S NOT A…wait a moment, you idiots are going that deliberately, aren’t you?*
*We will neither admit nor deny anything, but creating a creature like that will be very difficult. You guys have a plan of how to do it?*
*Hahaha…a plan? Us? You idiots remember who you are talking to right?*
*Okay, stupid question. So…?*
*The powerfully-unique-fire-flinger is our long-term goal. We’ll probably need to go through a lot of trial and error before we can get to it. Much like what happened with the Porkasus…we will create others things in the meanwhile while aiming for the goal of the powerfully-unique-fire-flinger.*
*…well, at least you guys have a goal in mind so that good…*
*What about you guys? Outside digging deeper and creating more of the Kin, you guys intend to do anything else?*
*Well, we intend to expand the tunnels especially the first two floors…but you remember how The Grand said he had a spirit matrix like us?*
*Yeah, he did said something like that. So what?*
*So…we were wondering if the lights could do the same thing to that matrix that we did with you guys?*
*You mean…*
*Yeah, if we can get the matrix The Grand has, maybe we get use it to create another hive. If the lights can, we don’t know, activate that crystal matrix somehow.*
*No, no, no. Well…yes but that’s not what we meant. How are you guys going to get that matrix? You guys want to attack the human city?*
*We were thinking more like stealing it the way the humans keep coming here to steal our stuff but who cares how it’s done? If we need to attack it, then the Kin could do it.*
*Attacking the human city…now that’s difficult.*
*Not right now of course! We’ll probably need to create more powerful creatures but we have time. It’s a goal for the future!*
*Good luck creating some new creatures then. You idiots will never match our powerfully-unique-fire-flinger but do your best!*
*Ha! We’ll create something even more powerful than your dragon!*
*IT’S NOT A…ah, forget it. Call it whatever you want, and no! No way are you idiots going to create anything more powerful than our powerfully-unique-fire-flinger!*
*Yes we are!*
*No you’re not!*
*Yes we are!*
*No you’re not!*
*Want to bet?*
*No problem! We will get our most powerful creature face your most powerful creature at a neutral ground in…10 winters? That’s good for you idiots?*
*More than enough time! You Fire idiots are going to lose badly! Where shall we meet?*
*…we’ll settle that later. Maybe we can send messengers back and fro between our volcano and this mountain? We can keep in contact that way.*
*…sometimes you fiery fools can come up with some good ideas. Let’s do that! Keep in touch and good luck you Fire morons!*
*You too idiots! Good luck!*
