Book 1 has now been taken down for publishing; it is available on Amazon/Kindle Unlimited now. The series is written as a set of standalones, so book 2 is pretty readable without book 1 and tells its own story, but, that's where book 1 went. If you're giving it a pass, then I totally understand - and if you read on, then I hope you enjoy!

Back a month or two ago, I said I'd give a warning when Roots and Steel (book 1) was coming to the end of its lifespan online, and we are here. Right now I'm in the final stages of prepping the book for publishing - most notably, the audiobook is finished and currently going through Audible's processing, so once it's done, we're going to get moving. What that means for you is that you have ~ a week, plus or minus a little, to finish reading Roots and Steel if you have not! After that, it will be removed so that it can launch on Kindle Unlimited.

If you are not finished reading, and will not be finished by the time that week has passed, please leave a comment in this thread, and I'll work something out to get you the time you need. My goal here is not to rip content out from under anyone, so let me know! I'm so glad to have had so many readers here, and a big thank-you to everyone who made it through.

My final note for today - I do have plans for further books in Roots and Steel (which will be serialized as well), but I can only really continue with book 2 if this first book gets a bare minimum amount of engagement with readers (if I run out of money for cat food they'll just eat me instead). If you have a moment and you are willing, please consider leaving a review for the book! I won't try and milk you guys for sales - leaving a review helps me way, way more in the long run (and you do not have to buy the book to leave a review).
