《Requiem of Souls》Chapter 105 (The Longinus)

Chapter 105
Indra had a massive body, however, it was not comparable to the giant Ravana. He was tanned blue, muscles of steel and with a sickle in his left hand, and a mace in his right.
Yet before he would gain the initiative in the fight, I needed to test out the waters. I am immortal after all!
I moved in first, roars, shouts and all, like a maddened beast swinging my chains of fiery torment at Indra who became shocked at the heat radiating from them.
The power of these chains was not something a god should neglect, they helped slay a god once. And they will do the same again!
The moment the chains got closer to Indra’s face, he swung his sickle wielding hand toward me, causing the wind to split as a crescent moon shaped projectile was shot with blinding speed.
I didn’t bother dodging as I spun the chains on my right hand using it as a shield to block the attack.
A boom echoed and is as sent tumbling on the floor.
No damage dealt with my Hp, but my dignity was severely hurt.
“Well, what a way to start a fight ey?” taunted Haru.
“You should try that,” I said, “You might lose more weight that way,” I added.
“Nah, I am good the way I am,” he snorted back.
“Guys! There is a god in front of us, who is more than willing to kill us, and you still find time for jokes?” cried out Haruka.
“Well, there is no point in crying over it anyway,” I said then rose to my feet. “Vendir, we gotta bring the big guns. Soul Eruption!” I cast as a glowing orb of hateful souls congealed in front of me.
“Eat this!” I cried out. As I shot the enormous orb of souls into the face of Indra who swung his sickly again cutting it into two perfect halves.
“You done fucked up now!” I said as I willed the seething souls to detonate.
The orb I created would surely destroy not only the room we are in, but could potentially kill my friends.
“Controlled explosion!” I willed the soul energy to compress In a tight space and instead of exploding outward, it imploded inward creating something similar to two vortexes which began sucking the fabric of the world, like two miniature black holes.
“GHAAAA” roared Indra in pain as visible cracks appeared on his body from being surrounded by the two small black-holes and their massive gravitational force. Even was being sucked toward them at a visible rate.

The backlash from such a cast was not something anyone could tolerate, especially with the handling of the rampaging soul energy. My right hand became more and more rigid as my head developed a severe migraine.
However, it was all worth it. a huge and visible amount of HP was being reduced from Indra at an incredibly fast rate.
“HOW DARE YOU!” roared out Indra then pushed forward sending the concentrated energy into turmoil.
“Bad idea herald!” cried out vendir as he cast his barrier protecting everyone from the chaotic energy that began radiating from the collapse of the spell.
The whole upper tower began to crumble and the ceiling fell and pieces of the debris was consumed by the vortexes.
Indra smacked with his mace creating a shockwave of lighting that danced forward. It shaped like a giant snake and moved with incredible speed toward us.
“BE Crumbled!” roared Ravana as he swung two of his glaives toward the incoming electric serpent who seemed to have cried out it's last as it was cut down by Ravana.
“Your fight is with me!” he shouted then with a single step he made it to where Indra was standing.
Ravana sent out a punch, or to say ten punches as his entire left side came crashing down with the power of a god to destroy his enemy.
“You can’t even fight fair!” cried out Indra s we were vastly outnumbering him.
He immediately took to the skis as he flew tiring to gain distance and the upper-ground.
“Too bad!” I said as I cast a soul-blast toward him coupled with a fireball. I had many spells to use, and with Ravana Here I can use them to my heart’s content.
This was like a shooting range, and Indra is the target.
Indra’s Level was too high for me to know how much HP he had, but I didn’t really care. We can just go ham on him with spells until he dies.
“Defile!” cried out Vendire as ginormous blackthorns swirled and erupted from underground. Entangling and limiting Indra’s movements.
Ravana didn’t stop, he smacked of his hands and cast the Tripundra skill, that Dazed Indra for a moment. Enough for Vendir’s skill to land. He cast a dark sphere of black magic that exploded at Indra’s face forcing him to be pinned to the thorny walls.
“I am more than enough to handle him.” Said Ravana trying to cut off our fun.
“We know, but we have some stuff to do in the next circle, if we stay here too much, we might lose on the initiative,” I said then sent my chains trying to catch the nimble God.

“It is not needed,” said Ravaan, “I can finish him alone.”
“But it doesn’t hurt!” I said sending more of my projectile spells forward.
Misaka began casting blood spears and Haruka shot the god with her dimensional cut, ability.
“Welp, I think we really are being unfair,” said Haru as he swung his hammer sending shocking waves of cold toward Indra further slowing him down.
“Dishonorable fools!” cried out Indra as a storm gathered above his head. Lightning crackled and sparks flew out from his body, his sickle turned from metal to lightning and his mace grew spikes where one could see violet lightning sparkling and dancing around them.
“THUNDERLORD’S DECREE!” roared Indra as he struck down with his weapons toward Ravan.
The gathering storm churned and seethed, sparks flew and a lightning bolt the size of a tower descended.
“Holy shit!” cried out Haru as he looked at the enormous lightning bolt that was descending from the high heaves toward the tower at blinding speed.
Haru rose his shield up and it grew massively covering the entirety of the roof we stood atop.
Ravana’s ginormous frame flew up to intercept the bolt, even a giant like that looked agile while rising to the skies.
“Corrupt!” cried out Vendir as his thorns grew to cover the sky making another barrier to protect us from the lightning.
I agitated my body and transformed it into a mass of darkness and instantly shot up covering the entire thing with dark shadows.
The lightning bolt struck, and the world turned silent. My vision swam and everything turned gray.
Ravana’s massive frame held most of the lightning at bay, but some of it still struck down toward us.
The lightning struck the shadowed veil I made, almost ignoring it and descended downward. Breaking apart Vendir’s thorns and reaching all the way to Haru's Pheonix feather-made shield. Where it finally stopped at the cost of Haru's left hand burning to a crisp.
Surprisingly, he didn’t cry out, nor did he complain of the pain, he just tides through it like a man. It kinda made me impressed.
“Blessings of the father,” said, Shara, as she healed Haru's charred hand.
“Thank you,” he said then looked forward.
The battle between the two titans raged on, lighting sparked and the wind howled. The great size of Ravana gave him a clear advantage, as the weights of every one of his attacks would send the lightning god tumbling. Yet he raged on with madness as he struck back.
“You are seated atop false power,” said Ravana. “Even now, is still holding more might than you have. Is this the power you think to be enough to suppress me?” he said then smacked him with his glaive and sent an arrow of light piercing toward him.
Ravan’s multiple arms served as a great mean to deal enormous continuous damage to his enemies. Casting spells attacking with bows and striking with glaives and swords. Even using a shield to counter some attacks.
“You forced me to use this! Might of Storms! Cried out Indra as black lightning surged and howled turning into a vicious face of a serpent that charged toward Ravana.
Ravena took a step back as he began chanting some incomprehensible magic. It was an old language. A barrier of sort emerged to protect him from the vicious attack.
At that very moment, a shard that I happened to get when I killed Gilgamesh began to vibrate madly. As if it wanted to fly out, I brought it from my inventory and it shot with blinding light toward the lighting storm.
It was the segment of the spear of judgment… the Longinus.
The moment it made contact with the lightning bolt it began to madly consume it, it even grew in size, making its shard-like shape change to that of a tip of a crystal spear.
“NO!” cried out Indra as the spear-tip flew toward him at blinding speed instantly piercing his forehead where it called upon the greater power of lightning.
I even moved back a bit. The lighting erupting from Indra's body was much too vicious to feel comfortable staying near it.
“Herald… How come you have a piece of the Longinus…” Said Ravana as he moved back a bit.
“I just happened upon it, hey, he didn’t just power up now did he?” I asked as lighting grew stronger and stronger
“No, the opposite actually… you just slew another god.” Said Ravana almost immediately an explosion erupted where a ball of thunderous lighting erupted everywhere.
Streaks of mad lighting showered the whole place. And Ravana used his chant to protect everyone here from the mad lighting

The Ruins of Magincia
They say all things end in time, but the exalted City of Magi would’ve begged to differ. Yet when an attempted coup goes wrong, the city finds itself brought to the very brink of destruction. In the wake of the calamity that left no survivors, the autonomous infrastructure still operating the ruined city seeks to restore what was lost. Luckily for it, the Mana-devoid Universe it awoke in holds an unexpected surprise: a planet full of sentient life forms. All capable—with a little help—to become the next generation of Magi. Back on Earth, Millie McArthur is a pregnant out-of-work mechanic struggling with the prospect of moving back in with her parents after leaving her unfaithful fiancé. That is until she finds herself just one of the hundreds that have been shanghaied by the callous artificial constructs still manning the ruins of Magincia. Now, she must struggle to learn magic, compete for resources, get good 'grades,' and fulfill the seemingly arbitrary requirements for her future job in this broken city. All while keeping herself, and her son, alive. Is the miracle of magic really enough to make up for all the pain? The Ruins of Magincia is a dark fantasy that's heavy on the drama (LitRPG aspects are very light). Chapter lengths can be anywhere from 7k-12k and there's no current release schedule as I'm focusing on wrapping up volume one.
