Requiem of souls!

Chapter 101

Running from the abomination, we could not waste even the time to turn back and look at how close it is getting to us. It was getting closer and closer, we could feel it. The oppressing aura that that beast was imposing was no small joke.

“Where did they even get something like this?! If they had more they would have ruled over everything, that creature has no status screen and is chasing us without rest!” said Haru as he was the only one who could afford to look at what was chasing us.

We won’t make it at this rate…

“Everyone! Gather up!” I said as I retracted most of my smoke.

They got closer to each other while I enclosed on them, swarming them with smoke. The moment they gathered up, I created two giant hands of smoke and grabbed all of them. Without a moment’s rest.

“Catch me if you can!” I said then forced the mana in my body to surge like mad.

Almost an instant after I grabbed them we burst forward with an incredible speed and disappeared from the worm’s grasp as it chomped on empty air.

“Holy shit that is too fast!” said Haru as he was shaking from the speed.

“Don’t open your mouth you might eat a bug!” said Haruka while snickering the girls seemed to be enjoying the ride

“This is rather fast Herald!” said Nemu as he was bemused

“Thankfully we only need to move forward, if there were any turns I would be forced out of the way before I could even try to turn,” I said as I gritted my ethereal teeth while carrying everyone.

“We will be able to reach the Kingdom of Heaven shortly at this speed, how long can you keep this Up Daiki?” said Shara as she was trying to gauge our distance from the kingdom of heaven.

“I can keep this up for few more minutes, then I will need to rest to recharge my mana, am burning through it like there is no tomorrow.

“There is no need! The kingdom is up ahead!” Said, Shara, as she looked forward, though I had clad them in smoke I made sure to leave some room for them to see the pathway.

“Alright, this is good enough!” I said as I decelerated and dropped everyone close to a giant gate.

There was a magic circle on the gate, almost like the Restriction that we saw on the second floor.

“Don’t worry, we can pass through this circle without a problem, it won’t attack us it only serves to transport the worm to the other end of the bridge. Said, Shara, as she was the first to cross the circle and stood on the other side of the gate.

Behind the gate nothing but skies were apparent, but the moment we crossed it a giant floating city materialized from nothing.

It was giant, no giant is an understatement it was of epic proportions, a holy city made of gold and white marble. With giant towers all around a wall of hundreds of meters in length.

At the center of the city was a palace that looked to be piercing the skies, it had a dome made of gold where dozens of statues of angels were plastered on it.

“Oh what a beautiful city.” Said Misaka as she looked to be enamored with the design of this marvelous city.

“Indeed, it is beautiful, however, behind this beauty lay a danger to us all.” Said, Shara, as she gritted her teeth.

“What do you mean, we have been in danger all alone. I said with a smirk as I moved forward toward the drawbridge that linked both the gate and the city.

“Michael! That bastard, he was the reason why I was sent to hell and trust me when I tell you, he is powerful.” She said

“Oh, how powerful?” I asked

“Do you remember how I handled the beasts in hell?” said Shara

I do remember her punching that black demon, with one punch she sent him probably half way across hell… she was indeed strong

“Yes”

“Now multiply that by a hundred times…”

“Ah… ok, I get your point…”

“What happened for you to be sent down to hell though?” asked Haruka as she looked a bit interested in Shara’s backstory, actually so am I. I never even asked about her story.

“Nothing much let’s just say that bastard is a hypocrite, claiming to be the right hand of the Oldest one. Exerting power that he doesn't own to force others to do his bidding. He made me be the one in the wrong and forced himself on me. The moment I refused he managed to convince the ones in the upper realm that I will be responsible for a huge calamity that will befall the upper realms. Due to this, I was forced down to hell without a chance to defend myself… the funny thing is, he is right, I will be the one to bring them trouble, however, if he didn’t interfere and didn’t try his luck with me. None of this would have happened, so in a sense… he is one of the reasons why we are here.” She said as she summoned her wings and flew forward while we all chased after her.

The moment we crossed the gates a huge uproar followed suit.

The city was almost in turmoil as hundreds and thousands of beings flew forward to intercept us.

“What are those?” asked Haru

They were humanoid, wearing white gowns and dresses all of them, the only thing they had in common was the wings on their backs and spears and shields that they all carried

Angel

Level 700

One of the guardians of the upper realms and soldiers of the high heavens.

“There are so many of them! Are we going to fight them all?!” said Haru as he brought forward his shield and hammer, though his words were those of fear, excitement was plastered all over his face. He was ready for a fight.

“Damn pests,” said Vendire as the same death aura he had before soon surged and covered his body.

“I should probably summon my minions,” I said as I tried to summon them to help us fight against the incoming horde.

Due to your current position, The Sixtieth Legion of hell cannot be summoned

The seal on hell prevents summons from hell to reach the high heavens

Summon failed.

“Ah crap, I totally forgot about that! Well, we have to fight our way alone!” I said as I readied my chains.

“No need to summon your minions! Let's just make our own using the bodies of these things!” said Vendir as he shot forward a dark ray of energy instantly killing a few of the minions.

“Ah, you are right! Let's jump into the fray!” I said as I jumped forward using the Abyssal walk.

The moment I reached I cleaved one of the angels in half and the passive of the hand of Ravana began to act up.

Savagery

Passive

(Legendary)

One’s true nature is wrath, to become one with yourself one should only surrender to it.

Granted power from the god that gave up knowledge for power you learned the passive skill savagery, granting you more power the more continues attacks you deal

(Continuous attacks have higher chances of landing critical strikes, for each critical strike gain +10% attack power and -5% resistances)

Landing a critical hit the passive acted up then in mere moments I was unstoppable, jumping from one angle to another, dodging their spears

“Intruders! You transgressed the holy lands of the gods! Die you filthy scum!” cried out one of the angels who was instantly shot down by Vendir’s ray

“Too annoying!” he said as he smirked almost instantly he forced the dead bodies of the fallen angels to become his minions

“Our brothers! Stop desecrating the bodies of our brethren your fiend!” cried out another angel who was instantly killed by me.

“Oh, this is too damn fabulous! I said as I had managed to activate another skill that I rarely used”

Hand of Ravana

Passive

(Unique)

Although dead, you can still call upon a power that was once his

Changes the hand of the user into that of a beast.

100% chance of landing a critical strike on stunned targets.

For every critical strike that lands under a stun/daze target

+600% damage

100% to cause bleeding

Instant kill to any target that is at least 200 levels below the user’s level.

With but a single punch I could easily stun these targets, and almost without pause my hand would reform to that of a beastly arm and rip their hearts out.

The killing spree was without pause.

“Haruka you are up! Use your AoE!” I said as I looked at Haruka

Without pause, she instantly used the ability of her blade.

This time not only one Tengu was summoned but hundreds!

They all emerged from shadows and began charging at the flying beasts.

“Oh, quite good!” I said

“Yes, the blade had a hidden attribute, it can level up with the user! Now it summons Yokais with just a thought!” she said as she swiped forward.

A giant cleaving arc of energy shot forward killing anything that stood in its way.

“Oi! Easy on the attack, you almost lopped my head off!” I said as I had to dodge the attack.

“Ah sorry!” she said a bit bashfully.

“Sigh!” I could only keep doing this, while more and more angels jumped into the fray.

“Who dares intrude on this sacred land!” roared a baffling voice.”

Looking at the origin of the voice I saw a huge angel coming towards us, with a tower shield on his left and a giant mace on his other one. He bellowed and the angels gave way for this leader to move forward.

He was fully clad in armor while only his eyes could be seen. While unlike the other angels this one had two sets of wings.

High angel

Makarove

Level 1200

The leader of the seventieth platoon of angels.

1 000 000Hp

“Ah, a miniboss?” said Haru as he looked at the flying creature.

“Yep probably,” I said as I looked at him, he had a bit more than the little pest’s Hp, and the hand of Ravana was but a couple levels lower than what I needed to instakill him.

Normally no matter how much Hp a target had the moment they were hit with that skill after fulfilling the condition they will be instantly killed.

The idiot tried to charge forward towards me where he received a bad surprise.

The moment he charged forward my chances were at the ready to intercept him, they spun around him.

He didn’t even bother at first with the chains as he tried to remove them with brute strength, however, he underestimated the strength of the chains.

The moment they latched on to him was his end. As I blasted him with an intense fire that originated from the flames.Wretched fiend! Get these chains off of me!” roared the high angel while I only smirked as I forcefully pulled him down crashing his head into the floor.

I had to give it to him the man had a sturdy head, with only but a 20 000 damage the impact looked like it was nothing but a scratch, however, the humiliation of it was enough to infuriate him.

I didn’t give him the chance to do anything though, as I forcefully pulled the chains and him towards me.

The moment his body was off the ground he came towards me with a ridiculous speed, while he was unable to control his bound body I morphed the chain on my right to become a culling blade and instantly lopped off his head.

Fatal strike!

Oh, sweet status screen it been so long since I last saw it. well, there was no chance for me nor need to do it anyway.

“Why are you grinning like a fool,” asked Shara s she saw me standing swarmed by a mass of angels while I was looking at my status screen.

“Oh, nothing just checking my level out.”

“Humph, you should focus on killing and stop wasting time. I don’t know what Michael is doing but if he shows up now this fight might turn ugly.”

A loud bellow was immediately heard after she said the words.

“Who dares enter this sacred place!” said a man who emerged atop the giant dome on the palace.

There was a blinding light that shone from the dome and a man with seven pairs of wings soon emerged, he was a giant. Almost the same size as Shara when she was in Hell.

“Well, you had to jinx it, I presume that is Michael?” I said as I looked at Shara who was gritting her teeth.

“Yes, that is the one,” she said.

The man was huge, with fiery hair and an imposing figure. He had a trident with lighting coming from it on his left hand while his right hand held a sword of fire. He had a crown over his head and looked majestic.
